Miss Me

J'adore !!! Je l'ai reçu début septembre et il faisait trop chaud encore pour l'essayer. Aujourd'hui 3 octobre, je me suis aspergée ce matin à 6 h30 il est presque 18 h00 et tout au long de la journée j'ai été bercée des baumes, des épices et d'une odeur rassurante de crème pour la peau (genre Roc des années 70). Sa fragrance me rappelle un shampooing des années 80. C'est vrai que la senteur tout au long vous fait penser à du propre. Peut-être un coton imbibé de lotion pour bébés comme évoqués dans les commentaires ci-dessous. Oui pourquoi pas. Mais moi il me fait plus penser à un accord vinyle comme chez "Parisienne" d'YSL (problement ma peau qui réagit ainsi). J'adore (évidemment ;O) Je pense que c'est ce petit côté baumé/épicé qui lui confère cette note lessive (pas péjorative dans mes propos). Très rassurante, très réconfortante.

This hasn’t had a review in a while. I am a perfume collector and had this in my collection for years sealed and in the back of my cabinet. I remember liking this a while back so I opened it today and I was happy that I really still like this. It’s heavy on Ylang Ylang and honey on me, not so much from the orange blossom on my skin. Longevity is very good and lasting for up to 8 hours (that’s on me, can be different on someone else) It’s a sweet fragrance almost candy but nothing like Aqualina Sugar or Prada Candy very different and unusual sweet with a bunch of cinnamon mixed in. Honestly there is nothing out there like this. Again discontinued and hard to find, 😖 Highly recommended 8/10 only because it’s hard to find!

My signature for some time. I went through 3 bottles. You only need one little spray, it lasts so long and is as potent as Angel. Fun, whimsical bottle, but the scent is even better. It's so unique. Cinnamon, powder, bubble gum and vanilla! But this scent is certainly not juvenile. It's too sophisticated. Lasts from day night with hardly any touching up needed. I don't smell any flowers. It’s gourmand but also a powder bomb. Floral green is totally wrong! This perfume is not green at all. Update years later: Mirus Fine Fragrance Questionable Motives smells eerily similar. Both fragrances are hard to find. Disclosure: I sell Questionable Motives at Avé Parfum in the US, but it may be discontinued soon as well.

Miss Me starts as a floral syrup. The floral note is a blend of pink flowers and heavy orange blossoms. It is followed by a resinous scent, which in the very beginning smells kind of medicinal. Slowly, tables turn, the nice balsamic notes are coming forward and the fragrance becomes beautiful, like a fluffy haze of resinous sweetness sharpened by luminous flowers. It's sort of a unicorn fragrance, it doesn't compare to anything I know, I would say it's a scented evocation of a high end candy floss (if this makes sense...). I really like it but I wouldn't wear it everyday, only on those days I'm feeling girly.

If you like this one, you might also like Castelbajac EDP and EDT. This is more of a floral-gourmand with some oriental notes, not picking up the green. I agree with Tarya: this is a sexy and powdery fragrance, very unique. This fragrance does something amazing in humidity... you will smell like the most delicious floral candy. A new summer favorite!

I really loved this fragrance because it still has a quite mystical side to it while smelling sweet. I think the notes are really well chosen and everything is blended well together. I had it when I was 16 and it suited my personality. I think that's correct, you won't only wear the perfume, it will also suit your personality.

I really like this perfume, but have found it to have really mixed reviews when I wear it. Some people think insect spray while others think it smells like a lolly factory. Staying power is very good!

Bought it while in Nice in 2006! The perfume is amazing! One of my absolute favourites! Hate even the thought that it might be discontinued...! Please don't!

I love this, and cannot agree on air freshener at all. It ́s not at ALL fresh, more like Pink Sugar :)

To my great surprise, Stella Cadente MISS ME is *very* similar to the Keiko Mecheri LOUKHOUM series. MISS ME is not by any stretch of the imagination a floral green perfume. Instead, this is an oriental floral of sorts, containing the same rare alkaloid note found in the LOUKHOUM perfumes and which makes them quite close neighbors on the grand olfactory map since basically nothing else contains this note. Powdery and sweet with a decidedly alkaline edge. Cocaine in a doughnut shop all over again. I should say that MISS ME is quite a bit less sweet than the first LOUKHOUM, but the alkaloid connection is really strong. I like this composition a lot, because I am obviously an addictive personality and managed to acquire a dependency through the course of my three 2.5ml Keiko Mecheri LOUKHOUM samples. MISS ME, like the LOUKHOUMs, is different from typical mainstream oriental perfumes, and for that reason I am not at all surprised by the negative reviews. It seems that perceptions of the alkaloid component vary a lot from nose to nose. To me, it's great, and I'd love to have a bottle of this... This is an excellent example of a case where neither perfume is really a knock-off of the other, but they were produced by different noses in different parts of the world at about the same time. I seriously doubt that there is any plagiarism whatsoever involved in cases where the two perfumes in question have been produced by parfumeurs rather than industry hacks. In this case, I'm not even sure which one came first, but they are very, very similar perfumes, so if you love the LOUKHOUMs, you're likely to love MISS ME. If you hate the LOUKHOUMs, then you'll want to stay far away from MISS ME, which should be easy to do, since it appears to have been discontinued.

An extremely interesting and layered scent. I don't see it in the notes but I swear this initially opens with a dry bergamot note. As it warms the honey and apple produce the same custardy apple note that Joop! All About Eve had (if you miss that scent it's worth giving this a try). As the day goes on the cinnamon and florals come and go and appear in different combinations. What I especially like about this perfume is that I'll catch a whiff of it and not realize that it's the perfume I'm wearing--it's got a lot of personality and volatility. This is very definitely a big girl scent. It's like moving from wine to brandy. You may not like it but you need to credit the sophistication and execution. Sillage: good, 2-4 feet Persistence: will last most of a day Fabulosity: a really good gin rickey Price to value: very good 8/10

I fell in love with this perfume immediately. The bottle was bit funny, not at all my taste, but the fragrance was so friendly, sexy, beautiful and powdery. The chemistry on this perfume on my skin is magical. Draws complimets always when I'm using this.(another man-magnet is Dolce& Gabbanas first fragrance) Too bad that this is discontinued..

Bought it at its launch. VERY sweet to me. Could have left out the musk and I'd probably wear it more. Bottle is still pretty full. Usually only wear it to bed. Half happy face/half sad face.

Pungent orange blossom on me, but with a sweetness that reminds me of Tatiana by Diane von Furstenberg. It should be a Spring scent but works surprisingly well in cooler weather.

I am undecided about this one! I completely agree it did not strike me as a floral-green scent. The opening was uber-sweet and a bit synthetic, but that passed quickly as the fragrance warmed up and became a sweet powdery cloud of scent! There is also a soapiness to this, which I personally feel is out of place, but that could just be my chemistry. I couldn't specifically detect any of the notes. So in the end, for me, it was a soapy-baby-powder type of scent with great sillage, but I was eager to wash it off after an hour.

It should have been called "Miss Rip Off", looking at the price this cheap smelling EDP is selling for. Initially you get a blast of... yes, cheap air freshener, and then it fades into nothing. One of the worst fragrances I have tried lately. Save your money for something far better than this.

I have to agree with the reviewer below. Smells definitely of Pampers.

I first picked up a sample of this in France when it first came out. Was already back in Blighty before I realised I was going to fall in love with at first smell. I couldn't wait for my brother to get back on the Eurostar to bring me a bottle back. It's best kept for a now and again, so as not to fall out of love with it though. It's unusual and beautiful. Not for the masses, just something very different. Unable to pinpoint what I like about it but I definitely do. Worth trying a tester at least.

I find it interesting how the 1st perfume in the "smells like" category to be Jlo Glow. I only wish it was similar as that used to be my very favorite years ago circa high-school. Anyway, the drydown on this is quite a musky incense on my skin, I could have sworn there was amber in this giving it a hippy vibe, maybe even catholic church feel..I was wrong and this comes from the other resins. I preferred the opening which was lighter and softer. Interesting scent overall, I do like it.

I got a few samples of this. It smells like baby powder for adults. It's very sweet and powdery. The staying power is amazing. A little goes a long way with this perfume if you over spray you will be nauseous and make those around you sick as well.

Ce parfum est vraiment unique en son genre. Vraiment addictif et réconfortant. Poudre , baume , cosmétique un peu sucré il sent l’enfance... J’ai beaucoup d’émotion en portant ce parfum. Le sillage et la longévité sont très bonnes.

Jamais senti un tel parfum et j'en suis de suite tombée amoureuse. Un beau floral poudré assez costaud, et très baumé. Son sillage est ultra présent et il ne laisse jamais indifférent. Mais pourquoi a-t-il donc été arrêté?????

What makes you think I am not in the industry? Because I don't like what you like? Isn't that a bit childish? I'm just telling my opinion.

Why oh why did they discontinue this? This is my perfect clean yet feminine cotton candy yet not too sweet musky yet not too musky scent.

This is just awful. Smells like really cheap air freshener.
