07.01.2021 I have decided to buy STR8 original. More than 15 years ago, when I was 18 I think my dad got me this fragrance. The box looked expensive and I was intrigued by it. It felt serious (the scent I mean). I bought it again. Similar scent, can still feel those green notes. It seems a bit watered down to me now, I recall it being much more potent. But ah well, totally worth it. It is an inexpensive little gem. And frankly speaking it smells surprisingly good, has a lot of green notes in it. I personally smell a bit of tangerine here together with Bazil. Mint is found here also. It smells like a wooden drawer full of Bazil, some dried citruses and mint. Cannot go wrong with this one. For 10eur 100ml still good. Perfect for winter, late fall and early spring.

Fantastic edt. I received this as a present from my dad when I was a teenager, around 17 or 18 years old. More than 10 years ago. It is fresh by no means too sweet. I have received tons of compliments when wearing this as a youngster. I think my dad made a good choice and I used it very often. Even though it is not mentioned here, This cologne has a an Orange/Citrus note somewhere in top and middle notes. Very generic but good none the less. I can see it as being jack of all trades type. Cannot imagine anyone disliking it. 8/10 :)) Might give it a go next time I decide to to for Nostalgia Colognes.

I am surprised by STR8. It's much nicer than I expected. It manages to be fruity and soapy at the same time. Longevity and silage are moderate to good. The price means it's great value too. STR8 is really likable and fresh - love it!

By far the best in the entire str8 range. I'm sure it marked the youth of many of us, perfume lovers. I still buy it from time to time just for the sake of memories ... of the waves of life ...

A cheapo that lasts about a day albeit moderate to weak sillage, I think you could wear this literally whenever - day/night, summer/winter, casual/work (I mean it has an aftershave and body wash too so you can have this scent in every form - both smell identical to this EDT). Because it's inexpensive and can be bought easily right next to the isle with deodorants, you can even "waste" it or reapply as you wish. I only found a 50ml bottle that came in a tin rectangular can (I love that), the cap clicks strongly into place (so you can hold it by the cap and don't have to worry of dropping it), liquid is a dark amber color, surprising quality in both packaging and scent for the price. The best way I can describe the scent itself: It's kinda like a woody/spicy/sourish man's cologne/aftershave smell. To me it's addictive (sometimes spray it on before bed) but definitely not a younger guy's scent (not quite sweet), though that doesn't mean someone in his 20s can't wear this. Just don't expect it to be a non expensive clubbing fragrance (that's Joop Homme). On me this definitely lasts a day in longevity while sillage being good enough, though after about around 3-5 hours it remains close to skin (like I said, I believe it's good for closed space work - office). All in all a good cheapo with nice scent for the buck that has body wash, deodorant spray, aftershave, "body mist" if I recall, in the line right next to this EDT - It's for someone who likes minimalist, budget friendly options (like me) and especially for someone who likes this fragrance because they can get it in many shape or form. Though I'd recommend applying the deo spray because it might not mask sweat, unless you "over apply". This frag is for you and people in close proximity to you unless you pour it on yourself. Love it :)

Clean and fresh scent. I was actually a bit surprised, for some reason I expected it to be a bit darker, more masculine. Very inoffensive and suits well for office wearing too. Longevity on my skin is poor. I get an absolute maximum of 4 hours, usually less. Projection is average. Overall, considering the price, nothing too much wrong about the scent. Especially if you dont mind carrying a travel sprayer and respraying. Just keep in mind, there are many better performers in very close price range. That is why I personally dont see any reason to keep this one in my collection. The scent: 4/10 Longevity: 3/10 Projection: 5/10 Price: 8/10 (<10€ for 100ml)

This was probably my "signature" scent back in the days when I was at the university. Yet again, so many people wore it back then that I don't really know what "signature" would mean in this context. Doing a bit of a research shows STR8 Original was launched in 2010 - meaning it was actually brand new at that particular moment. I would have never guessed, as it did smell vintage (read: clearly masculine) even in 2010. Sometimes I still reach out to it for nostalgic reasons, it is a good value for the price.

Only men's scent I ever wore, I love it! Smells better on my partner though. Definitely generic, but somehow perfect; a bit citrucy, clean, maybe orange? Minty, definitely fresh, and spicy, but not too strong. Decent lasting power for the price, sillage closer to hug than handshake range.

A pretty basic smell, with clear herbal/spicy notes. It composes pretty well with sandalwood. Overall, a safe choice for everyday, casual wear. Characteristically, smells like aftershave, which is not something that everybody likes. 7/10

typical generic masculine scent. nothing special and easy likeable

I love to put this after shower and being home makes me relax.

Green, generic, and safe fragrance. Absolutely nothing special about it. The Basil adds to the bore. It's a little stale and there's no pop to it. Brings no trace of excitement. But hey, it's safe. Nobody gonna tell you that you stink, that's for sure.

This isn’t so bad after all; it seems better than Active Bodies. While Adidas tries to make perfumes, here we stick with a good deodorant. I think I like cardamom.

Disclaimer: My review is based on an aftershave bottle. The expectations of a fraghead from a fragrance such as Str8 Original would be low, sprinkled with a condescending and arrogant attitude for good measure. Perhaps deep down im in the same boat hence why i dare make such a claim. On the other side, one could seek to praise it simply because its a common and affordable product. If you ask me, that too can have condescending roots and a “support the underdog” kind of aproach for the sake of “white-knighting”. With that said, i’ve mentally decided that i will try to analyse the scent taken in a void, without factoring in availability and affordableness. The scent of Str8 is obviously masculine altho, to my nose, its not exactly the traditional, classic masculine kind of scent profile many fougere / barbershop scents provide. This scent DNA does feel classic but in a modern, contemporary way. Indeed it is fresh-spicy, green, uplifting but also soft, comforting even. I pick up on a hint of sweetness in the composition that provides an extra layer of modernity and helps the scent avoid falling into the trap of a straight forward green and dull men’s scent. If we look at the official note breakdown then all these aspects can be easily explained. Firstly, there’s tangerine and mint in the top, both providing the invigorating kick. This combination creates a gingery accord to my nose, only without the spicy characteristic of ginger. The mid is cinnamon and sandalwood. Its common knowledge that sandalwood is one of the softer woods used in perfumery whilst cinnamon also softens everything it touches. Many meditative, evocative and generally relaxing perfumes employ sandalwood because it helps support and also maintain a comforting profile. The vetiver in the base provides the undoubtedly masculine nature of the scent. Its not an obvious vetiver, not the type that i know and love but vetiver is the kind of note that holds great influence even if its not being upfront. In regards to the hint of sweetness, once again the cinnamon would provide that with support from the tangerine. If i go back and look at it with price and commonality factored in, i will not claim that Str8 is a scent that smells many times more expensive then it is. There are products that punch above their weights but i wouldn’t say Str8 Original is necessarily a standout example in that regard. Still, im curious how the scentprofile would be rated if it received an ingredient quality upgrade and a better packaging under a better respected brand. My guess is that it would make waves and who knows, perhaps it would be mentioned in the same breath with Dior Sauvage, Y EDP, Invictus, Acqua di Gio, etc. If you ask me, i won’t run to buy a bottle because my collection is already larger then i want it to be but if i was given a bottle as a gift, i would value and use it with pleasure.

It's fresh and smells like shower gel, but it also has a strong, warm sandalwood which is sweet, dry and amber-like. It feels dated compared to current shower gel fragrances, but it's definitely not out-dated or "granddad". It feels like it could be a 90s/2000s Hugo Boss fragrance, imagine the warm sandalwood of Boss Bottled, without the apple and vanilla. Not bad at all.

I have owned over 200 fragrances! Currently i have about 60, but it is still one of my favourite scent of all time! My favourite cheap scent! Tangerine on top going into green woody sandalwood scent ! I am not a big fan of green scents in general but this hybrid combination green/ woods is amazing! Regards !

This cologne brings back beautiful memories from college days. The Original is the best one in the Str8 line... calming smell with a little dose of sweet and extremly masculine. Also very desent performace from a dragstore perfume.

This is not Eau de Toilette but Eau Fraiche. The only difference from water is that 1% oil who doesn't give any smell but add some color. You will not hate it because it doesn't smell of anything. 10$ wasted.
