Aroon Sawat

Quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite Prin creation, Aroon Sawat is perfect for someone who doesn’t like citric and fresh fragrances, but still wants something wearable for high temperatures. This fragrance opens with a blast of tropical fruits, namely mango and passionfruit, and remains juicy and ripe while having a reduced/syrupy quality to them, just on the border of rotten (Think of Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids). About 10 minutes in, this herbal note, myrrh and incense that peeks in the opening become a lot more intense, and this harmony between the meditative temple notes and the sweet and ripe juicy notes is where this fragrance shines. It remains fruity without getting overly sweet and sickly, but the eastern edge is not too jarring for western audiences as well. Near the end of this fragrance, the fruitiness dissipates and you are left with the myrrh and incense notes that I personally enjoy. Only complaints I have with this fragrance, however, is that the white florals promised were barely prominent in the first 20 minutes, and the fragrance as a whole doesn't last that long (5 hours on average in my experience.)

Aroon Sawat (What a cute name! 😍) is absolutely fascinating. Marian plum and pomelo are very present to me. It is warm, golden, like first morning rays of sunshine that gently kiss your face before your bf/gf. First sniff, I was transported to a golden rice field at dusk with a scenery of forest mountains back in Thailand. It really does give me the sense of the harvest, fertility of the Earth & the goddess Demeter. I am also surprised no one has ever compared it to Miller Harris Lumière Dorée. They illustrate a similar idea and tone, though LD has more citrusy, herbaceous and bitter quality, whereas AS is more fruity, warm, comforting and cheerful. Who would not like Aroon Sawat?

Ohhh, I really love this. The dry down feels a bit masculine on me but truth be told I'm not really sure if this actually "unisex" at all. It smells like a very modernized Classical Lady white floral with some oriental characteristics. It's very nostalgic to me in a way I can't really place. It feels kind and welcoming. I'm not sure how I feel about wearing this in the summer personally. Could also be biased since I'm sampling in the winter.

Wonderfully blended, with a lovely harmony between notes. The opening is very incense heavy, with lots of supporting woodiness, which dies down to a more fruity/woody tuberose. It is definitely an intense scent, however it is the most unique one I have smelled thus far, and I would 100% recommend it if you love incense.

My nose is getting a more elegant, complex, floral and unisex, but less bold and loud version of Lapidus Pour home. That is the sillage, up close they smell more different.

Cheerful, interestingly off-key fruity/floral which does some genuinely creative things in a field I usually don't love (and often can't get along with at all.) What's more, there's tuberose, a potential hostile for me, yet it's kept entirely in balance and even serves a useful function. Pryn Lomros is a clever, clever guy. His approach inflects the mango & passionfruit, which are the stars of the show here, with enough nuance from the incense, sandalwood and myrrh to give a verrrry slightly dirty, more intriguing edge to the scent. It's fruity without ever getting sticky or fermented or too cute. All really skilfully controlled to be NOT over-sweet- it seems rich and alive but doesn't cloy. Its effect is much, much lighter and greener and fresher than you would think from looking at the pyramid here, especially at the start when the citrus edge really zings for a while. Smell of a luxury hotel suite at some insanely expensive Thai eco retreat? (no coconut or lotion anywhere, though) - it seems summery and beach-adjacent without being a cliche'd sun-scent. It's no beast on performance - arm's length sillage and longevity of 4-5h - but light and refreshing enough to be pretty adaptable. Not my personal taste in fragrance, but undeniably, a virgin cocktail mixed by one highly experienced and upmarket bartender. If it sounds like it'll please you, it very probably will.

Nice little pick-me-up for summer! To me the most noticable aspects of this fragrance are the aquatic floral fruity elements, it does veer into the cottoncandy territory which is gret. Probably this is due to the noticable sandalwood accord. Aroon is rather creamy and also noticed some indiscernable white flowers which is confirmed by the fact that there is something slightly indolic going on when I put my nose very close to skin. If you are looking for something nice and summary and not overtly sweet, this may be your jazz as it does not smell like a pina colada. PS . do test this one on skin as on paper it appears a lot fresher.

Whatever you picture this fragrance to be in your head, it's going to subvert your expectations. There's something soapy here and i don't know what combination of notes causes that impression. The floral blend with the incense note definitely evokes the scent of an unlit stick of floral incense. Makes me think of the smell of a headshop or some bodega selling piles of incense sticks and other aromatics. Soapy floral incense with a backdrop of tropical fruits. A very unique scent, but not something i'd like to smell like. I'll give props for this blend being so unique though.

Opened up pretty thick for summer fragrance. Incense is front and center with equal mix of myrrh definitely giving off temple vibe. I imagined visiting Hindu temple in Bangkok or Balinese Hindu temple rather than a Buddhist temple in Thailand, though. Had it been Thai temple the flowery accord would be much more prominent. (Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey / one of Hermes Jardin reminds me of Buddhist temple flowers for that matter) After one hour this incense - myrrh mixture fade a bit and all the fruits, with slight hint of icy cool and sweet sandalwood starts shining.

Aroon Sawat, or "good morning" in Thai, is a cheery offering with some unexpected depth; an optimistic opening of tropical fruits bound to put you in a good mood eventually gives way to creamy sandalwood, an unexpected twist in a summery fragrance. Copious quantities of soft, ambery materials and powdery musks (curiously reminiscent of Xerjoff's amber blend) cushion the base, gently concluding this optimism-filled composition.

I’m a fruity floral lover but in the winter I want something with more depth. The incense comes on strong at first and then levels out to a fruity, spicy beauty. At first I didn’t like this but I appreciated after a few wears of my sample and then did full bottle. It smells different from anything I own and I look for that when buying new.

Well-blended to the point where picking up on individual notes is difficult. Overall, a fruity clean musky floral. I have Jeroboam Oriento and they are 80% alike, especially in the sillage. If you like one, you might love the other. Oriento is longer-lasting and punchier, with a stronger clean musk.

Fruity, tropical opening that is surrounded by the woody notes that remind me of Thai temples and the jungle around Chiang Mai. This is definitely a happy fragrance. -

Initial hit of fruit that fades to lovely tuberose. I would say this is a feminine fragrance.

This is a complicated sweet, fruity, and spicy floral. I would suggest giving this a try if you like sweet floral scents but want something different or with a twist. I am getting a lot of mango, incense, and orange blossom at the start. It’s a very smoky scent. After about 30 minutes the other fruits come in (mainly passion fruit and mandarin), and the smoke fades away. This is a lovely mix.

Open - floral, clean, fresh and not much else Dry down - notes of cedar, sweetness, incense/asian herbs, spicy, creamy, hay/grass Feedback - mixed - many found it to be quite offensive because of the asian herbal note. More feminine leaning than unisex I would say. Overall impression On my skin the incense and asian herbs dominated and overpowered everything else. If you are used to western fragrances this may give you a surprise as you can definitely feel the eastern influence in this perfume; imagine walking through a market in Cairo and smelling all the herbs and spices in the heat - this is what I dominates for me in this perfume. Results may differ on another person but personally not for me.

Interesting, complex, pleasant fruity floral. Well blended. The opening incense gives this a quasi-classic feel, as if replicating a classic musk or even a touch of civet. It settles into the fruity floral heart however. I'm a fan of mango notes, and have a full bottle of the brand's Salted Green Mango. Aroon Sawat is another good interpretation using mango in a Thai cultural context. Aroon Sawat is probably another full bottle worthy offering from the house, for me. Its predominantly unisex and is suitable for masculine wear also. Not too feminine. Acceptable performance.

this is incredibly pleasant . so so pleasant. the first spray hits me with a burst that smells exactly like ginger which is confusing because there’s no ginger listed in the notes. but as it develops it kind of softens to this refreshing citrusy floral blend with a gentlesss musk base giving off a spa like vibe which i endlessly hunt for. unlike like its name “aroon sawat” (thai for good morning) i do think its fits the evening time better. just as the sun starts to feel colder

Aroon Sawat. Enjoyable, but turns south during drydown and gets bitter. Incense+myrrh perhaps. Won’t be getting a full bottle, but using up this sample will be easy-layering it with a deep amber tones down the bitterness and amplifies the rest of the melange with a rich result!

I find the notes listed very misleading. I'm really not getting the mang or the passionfruit which was my main motivation for buying a sample, for me this rings mostly floral and citrus.
