Cigar Rum Intense

Phwooooaaar! What a blast. Received three bottles from Strangers and numerous samples. This was a FB. Huge blast of basically Boozy rambaucaus fruity rum with super smooth damp pipe tobacco dries down after 30 minutes to equal parts with amber. For once I can not think to explain further because it just seems to work like this. Sometimes that’s all you need. Not super pungent after 1 hour but it has staying power - almost smells too Much like you spilled rum on yourself. Well made but hate to think what the basic version would perform like. In all another delightful reasonable purchase from this company and a joy to have them bless my shelf

So I'm wearing Cigar rum intense today and I have to say that I'm not as impressed as I was when I first smelled it a few months back. My history with the original was that I liked it but I didn't see what the big fuss was about? people comparing it to Turkish leather and other triumphant Prin Lomros creations. It's aiiiight. I always felt it was a little thin and transparent for what was supposed to be a rich tobacco and rum fragrance. Cigar Rum intense sees to have rectified those concerns in the opening with a gorgeous cinnamon warmth and a hint of coffee, which completes the Havana effect. The dried fruit and raisin smell in this perfume is lovely, I'm not going to lie. It's like raisins seeped in rum and not in a rum n raisin Ice cream, tacky, essence sort of way, this smells authentic and natural. There's a smooth perfume element to it, naturally boozy and leathery but crucially I don't get the bitterness and girth of tobacco, that aspect is very tame and subdued for me. I really like this perfume, don't get me wrong, there's much to enjoy and it has a certain creative flair and uniqueness but I just feel it's not quite what I want, not lacking in anyway, but I'm not going to buy a bottle, despite being wowed by the opening. It's lasting really well so far and projecting a small cloud but it's not a big clout of a thing.

What side of "finally" are you on? "Finally, there's an intense version side or finally this is being recognized as overrated side?" This question is for the people that have experienced both versions. To those out there that are interested in the C.R.I experience will be surprised to know that this smells a whole lot like Zoology Camel...minus the humps. C.R.I manages to succeed and fail. Although this version is more massive, the consistency remains to be an issue. With that being said, one can't deny the allure of cinnamon flavored tobacco swirling against an oak log. This oriental opus is outfitted with a modicum of roses which outlines the perimeter of the fragrance. The leather is kind of there, kind of not. The same can be said about the coffee note. It kind of adds a roasted smell but kind of doesn't. More than a few of these notes are blended evenly. It can be argued that the rose is too prominent for a fragrance centered around a stogy genre. No doubt, this is likeable and dare I say an improvement on the original. To stay on the safe side of aggrandizement, it wouldn't hurt to spray it on clothing.

Although this wasn't a scrubber per say I definitely had a negative impression of this fragrance. Although the initial blast isnt to bad my over all impression was not good. While trying this out I got basically a sorta potentially funky, niche, more fruity, less sugary version of dark rebel. The creamy leather mix in here with everything is almost queezy even. Again not bad enough that I had to wash it off, but it left a negative enough impression on me that the next time I wore tuscan leather which I enjoy, I had a bad image of this fragrance in my mind actually.

This fragrance offers a well-balanced blend with minimal tobacco notes, reminiscent of Roja Parfum. Longevity and projection are good.
