Euphories

Strangers Parfumerie Euphories is a sweet, spicy, resinous blend featuring tolu balsam, hay, vanilla, rum, cinnamon, hazelnut, as well as some floral and fruity notes. It’s fairly sweet but not a gourmand, and the resinous aspects lean creamy and a little smoky rather than animalic, having a multifaceted sort of feel, very complex, and very rich. I imagine this could prove challenging for some, as it’s not as gourmand-forward as some of the more specifically coffee-rich scents in the catalogue, but Euphories has more of the makings of a Slumberhouse-type scent with resins and a whole lot going on, so the upside is very high for those that like this type of scent. As is usually the case, the opening was a bit spicier and more provocative and the fragrance then settles down into a more harmonious blend. Overall, I like the balance and strength of it. It feels carefully thought out and lands in a great spot. And it’s probably the strongest perfume from Strangers that I’ve tried so far. While most fragrances in the line are EDP concentration, Euphories is extrait concentration, and as such, has the higher pricing of $110 for 30ml. 8 out of 10

Oh I'm so hurt by this perfume. I get none of those fruity notes, no rum, no vanilla, no cocoa.... just a blend of amber, cinnamon, sandalwood, hay. It isn't bad at all. I actually really enjoy it and can definitely agree with it being similar to jazz club (and also it being better than jazz club lol), I'm just sad I don't get any of the fruity notes at all! However nothing about this really stands put for me though and I almost feel like I've smelled something identical to it before from a different house. Edit- I don't know what happened there... I got a sprayer and sprayed this on instead of dabbing it and just yikes. Somehow it smelled way more animalistic and smelled very much like a barnyard cow :,(

this scent is very surprising. at first you get a blast of a fruity sweetness, but then..! it does a complete 180 and turns into a very warm, slightly sweet, spicy tobacco scent, so incense-y! extremely nostalgic, so much depth... this smells like spending christmas eve at your religious grandparents' house, there's freshly baked gingerbread on the table, glasses of liquor alongside; somewhere in the kitchen, incense is burning; you can faintly smell the hay stuffed under the tablecloth.

I’ve been critical of Strangers Parfumerie in the past, and I was assuming I would not like Euphories as I’ve had a hard time finding his creations wearable, but this is very good. I really like the opening with dominant spices and a smooth tobacco note. The drydown does turn medicinal but it’s still intriguing.

You know how the Godiva chocolate bonbon with the cherry and syrup in the center tastes? Well this smells like that, leaning toward a bit more sweet than chocolatey. I was looking for something as an alternative to ATH's Boss Bastard, because it is difficult/impossible to find in the USA. They are similar, but Euphories cannot be a replacement as it relies more heavily on fruits than cocoa/powdery vibes. Still like it a lot.

I think Strangers has a problem with making their scents discernable and stand out. They all kind of smell the same very musky and resiny, this one smells very identical to sangre dulce except less baby powder-like. Just smells generally sweet I wouldn;t recommend if you're trying to smell like something in particular.

The most gorgeous lactonic orange peel drink, wonderfully sweet and cozy, worth the extra buck lowkey. If you enjoy cherry/rosso amaretto, this is probably up your alley with similar gourmand DNA.

Man, this was majorly disappointing based on the notes. I agree with amyaz below. It smells ok, but I can't see why you'd reach for it when there are so many better options.

Fruity milk. Sandalwood-y. Buttery gourmand but the fruit saves it from going savoury, or overly lactonic. Creaminess seems mostly from the sandalwood.
