Yuzu Soda

Sampling Strangers Parfumerie Yuzu Soda, a fittingly fresh, tart, effervescent, semi-sweet concoction that’s a pleasant scent, particularly for warm weather, that nails the citrus soda concept as well as an example I’ve tried. It manages to be not too sweet or tart while clearly being a bit more focused on the yuzu, and therefore tarter, than, say, a standard lemon/lime soda like Sprite or 7UP. It has a bit of soul and depth to it, though, in the form of petitgrain, rosemary, and vetiver, so it’s not outright soda but more of a citrus/soda-forward, blended perfume. I’m very pleased with this and it’s nice that the first true freshie from the line (as Lumberjack Cologne has more of a year-round feel to it) is such a success. I like how it dries down to be a little less sharp, as is generally the case, while still maintaining most of its overall character from the opening. And it performs decently well, though not as loudly as the coffee fragrances from the line that I tried first when starting to sample it. Yuzu Soda is priced at $80 for 30ml, the standard EDP concentration pricing for the line, and is sold via Luckyscent and Indiescents. 8 out of 10

It's been a long time since I've loved a fragrance this much. This is gorgeous, seductive, and sophisticated. That opening of tart lemons and gardenia is the perfect blend of sweet and sour. It reminds me of a walk through the garden at dusk. We all know that I'm not one to sound so poetic. But it gets better! This fragrance smells like you can eat it - like oranges, chocolate and vanilla cake. It's perfect for an elegant, romantic dinner with your special someone. This is a grown-up, sophisticated fragrance that will make everyone regret not wearing enough perfume. The sweet, powdery scent is a dream come true and I’ve been getting so many compliments on it, too! It lasts all day long and is never overpowering - perfect for work or an intimate night out with your special someone.

I keep using up the little sample i got from luckyscent. Gosh does this smell so addicting. Its sour, citrusy, and soapy smelling. This is reminiscent of brut because it opens up with a blast of clean citrusy musk smell. I will get this soon.

I really like it, it reminds me of my one and only semester at a public middle school. It also kinda smells like cucumber and mint body wash. For some reason, whenever I smell it, it makes my nose run and hurts the back of my throat. :(

Got a small sample from lucky scent. Based off the smell; the yuzu, aldehyde, and musk really reminds me of brut. Not saying it's masculine but it just reminds me of that.
