L’Heure D’Or

I needed some time to think and reflect about what I want to say about this attar... Because it deserves my patience and understanding. While the scent asks me "What?!" like a curious girlfriend I just sit there speechless trying to hold in my laughter and admire. This fragrance is an armored suit of confidence that does what seldom other fragrances can. On me it doesn't mask my body odor - it complements it making me sweeter, juicier, sexier, and livelier. The only reason I could see someone disliking this one is because of the introduction of the dominating civet and citrus which are pissy and agressive right out the gate but soon marry each other and become citric, dry, herbal, sweet and powdery like ground lemon sugar and cinnamon candle wax. It also reminds me at the far dry down of a smooth lemony soap like you won a fight with a civet cat and have come home victorious washing yourself with a gold bar of lemon scented soap. A gorgeous chypre through and through. Wonderful lasting power only need a small dab on the pulse points and it creates a bubble. An artful masterpiece that has become one of my favorite niche scents ever. As I am writing I am debating giving this a 10/10. My first 10 out of 10? Probably don't want to break the 10 out of 10 virginity just yet. 9.5/10

Wow this is stunner that I actually have butterflies in my stomach smelling it. Imagine watching the sunset with someone you love and having a perfect romantic moment, this is heartbreaking. Please don't try this scent as it will touch your heart and you will never be same again. It's too late for me I have to add this to my buy list. This fragrance opens up with rose, orange blossom and bergamot that is wrapped up in a very sensual animalic accord coming from the civet. The orange blossom gives the scent a golden glow whilst the bergamot lends it's freshness. The rose goes after your heart whilst the animalic sensuality finishes you off.lol I have to say if I smelled this on a women I would be compelled to run into a florists putting my cash down on the counter and running down the street with a bouquet of flowers after her. Wow what a fragrance!

It's a crime this masterpiece hasn't been reviewed on here for several years... Fantastic proof that reviews on here (or lack thereof) aren't everything. By FAR - nothing even close IMO - the finest synthetic deer musk scent I have ever owned or sampled. This one is blind buy worthy & IMO some of SP's best work. I have been through several bottles, still have a few on hand, & will still order more shortly. Musk fans you cannot go wrong here. I get tons of compliments from women & their knees buckle when they get a direct sniff off the bottle. I pray this comes out as one of his new SPP "perfume" bottles but I'd understand if a spray didn't live up to this attar, & thus, didn't get released. 10/10 Buy it & thank me later if you even like musk scents. I own MANY Ensar Oud musks & this is still mind-blowing at a fraction of the price.

Complete and total KO! Wow! Just Wow! Opens like a bright but herbal, white floral, all the while backed by a heavy woody, animalic breath of ambergris. It smells more like the herbal, cumin, sweaty bite of civet replacement rather than real civet which is more cheesy and oud like, but I could be wrong? Whatever the combination of animalic elements they are exquisitely judged because you can still smell the citrus and aromatic & lactonic creamy florals, perhaps some andalwood materials too long into the drydown. I get that this is totally masculine but not at all heavy handed. Love it!

I am not good at talking about the notes but when the smell makes me feel I have no difficulty at all to express myself. L’Heure D’Or starts off energitic on my cold skin, like the morning chill on the leaves. As warms up, it takes me to my reckless childhood days, as warm as possible sun sets on the horizon, golden sky, little sigh to lose the burden of a busy day, peaceful moment, my eyes lock on the horizon, innocent bliss, full of hopes.

Animalic white floral fragrance. It takes you back in time to a church wedding full of orange blossoms and roses! Vintage Caron vibe. Gorgeous!

Im not sure my bottle contains the same juice as the previous three reviewers' bottles. To my nose it is a simple, good quality sandalwood with a just the tiniest whisper of neroli for a precious few seconds on top of the omnipresent sandalwood at the opening. After those few seconds-to 30 seconds, any floweriness or sweetness totally disappears and the fragrance goes to full, good quality, sandalwood with some nag champa and maybe a hint of pipe tobacco, then dries to a singular sandalwood. The fragrance is nearly completely gone after two hours. No trace of it after 3 hours. I found it necessary to use 6 to 8 applications with the wand coated with oil to achieve a sufficiently detectable aroma from this very light attar. Over all it is a nice sandalwood, but very expensive considering the amount of oil needed to generate a detectable scent. I did get a compliment on my first wearing of it calling it, "Nice." I like it but no goodebumps for me.

Surprisingly challenging in the opening for me--it's just so medicinal for the first half hour I almost sold it--but it mellows out into a very soft yet glowing orange-yellow haze that is quite unique and pretty yet has a distinct nag champa incense base that is always discernible and therefore is not a clean floral scent. It does smell rather like a dusky evening sunset as it dries down. I love the drydown 4 hours in; the scent becomes very creamy and I get a stunning honeysuckle accord that emerges from the ashy incense and Mysore sandalwood. Objectively, the blending of this attar is masterful and the composition really tells a story. If sultan created an extrait version of this scent with real musk it would most certainly be absolutely to die for. Attar comes very close. Best worn outdoors in spring or Fall weather.

Floral with alot of amber and rose, its pleasant enough and i started to quite enjoy the dry down but I just dont feel i need to own it . Have yet to be blown away with any of these attars and im around 17 out of 29. Performance was not that great died after 4 hours on me with no sillage

Ok now I’m totally sold on this one and plan on buying a 6ml backup bottle. This is so beautiful an hour in. At the end of the day, orange blossom is one of my favorite notes and this showcases it perfectly for my taste

Animalic, sweaty, rotten citrus honey, sickly and a little drunk the first hour. There is also a lingering "cadonett" hint. Then it opens very slowly like a matryoshka taking you into a hot afternoon sun with the numbness and calm of a nap. Narcotic. Imperial orange blossom and jasmine. I like it more on a woman. Well done!

I've returned to my Sultan Pasha set, mostly to see if/how my tastes have changed, and also to see if things STILL appeal to me, or if they don't. This scent is stunning; it's just a beautiful white floral, resinous beauty with *just* the right amount of animalic elements to remain tasteful, restrained and not off-putting. Too bad I like off-putting. In fact, I'm a big fan of it. This is simply too beautiful for my warped, weird tastes. If you're not into your weird, quirky scents, and you're a fan of BEAUTIFUL, appealing scents, this would be up your alley. This is quite a safe scent, I would say. Like, a gift for someone who isn't too into perfume and wants something that won't put colleagues off or upset too many people. It's definitely worth trying...

Now this one I am enjoying. A lot. There's a dirty, messy element to this, I can't really pin it. It might be animalic, it might be resinous (possibly both?), but it's ever-present, in the mid-to-foreground, and it's intoxicatingly beautiful. There's some dry, non-pungent spiciness and some floral elements to it, too, but what is really speaking to me most is how well put together it is. I really like this...
