Tabacaurum

Wet Indian incense. The tobacco is engulfed in floral, fruity, resins with Nag Champa vibes.

This one totally enchanting! Blew me away... It smelt like a desi grocery, with ALL elements on display. The spices, the incense, the flowers, ALL of it. My wife, on the other hand, did not like it. So... The question is, should I go for a legal separation, or just jump straight into divorce?

Tabacaurum is a very complex fragrance that combines facets from Sultan Pasha other compositions. From the beginning, I immediately identify the honeyed tobacco from Tabac Grande with a beautiful saffron note that stays for a long time in my skin. Then, floral notes start appearing, mainly jasmine sambac which you can find in the opening of Shadee, it is quite different from the jasmine note in Al Lail. Following that, I get the Rooty Orris/ Buttery Mysore Sandalwood combination that can be found in Irisoir but here it is accompanied by leathery fruity apricot-like Osmanthus and a spicy touch from Carnation. This is followed by is a dark sweet resinous scent probably coming from the Cambodian Oud, Honey Absolute, tobacco and other resins. The scent is extremely complex and it constantly changes to the point that you cannot do anything while wearing it except sniffing your arm and exploring the new facets of this attar.

Making my way through the entire Sultan Pasha collection. This is the first one that's an easy pass for me because generally I don't want a tobacco fragrance. Other reviewers have accurately described the opening -- tobacco, honey, oud, with lots of adjacent complexity. I'll look forward to wearing this today and to see how it evolves, but it's outside my own personal vibe, unlike Juriah Privé and Fougere Noire, which are both perfect fits and an immediate A+++ for me. As other reviewers have noted, this one is a dark amber color and sticky, so I'd be sensitive to how it's worn so that it doesn't stain clothes -- e.g., behind the ear, or on the wrists when wearing something short-sleeved.

this is soooo complex opening: a sweet blast of tobacco, Cambodian oud and honey. actually its mostly oud and honey to me - thick, sweet, very realistic. soon enough the flowers kick in, but they are blended so well I can't tell which ones exactly do I smell. just something powdery-flowery but very subtle and soft, in the background (think bortnikoffs style of doing florals - something like that). and im still amazed at how edible this honey feels about 1 hour in the most beautiful tobacco note finally comes out. its a bit lipsticky, musky, sweet. the whole composition is truly amazing to me, never smelled anything like it
