Rasheeqa

Rasheeqa - Swiss Arabian is a beautiful scent, I think an updated old fashioned perfume. Not old fashioned as in Aunt Bea, but old fashioned as in Sophia Loren. Pearls. Real pearls with a diamond clasp. There is something so clean about the roses in this mix, it must be the aldehydes. It modernizes an otherwise very classic perfume. I recently purchased an EDP Sample Kit from Swiss Arabian, and it's provided hours of entertainment! I've not found a scent yet that I wouldn't wear again, and Rasheeqa is the second perfume on my list of full sizes of SA to buy, the first being Shaghaf Oud (many say it's a Maison Lancome Oud Bouquet dupe but I've not smelled the Lancome so I can't say. I do know that it's a gorgeous fragrance)!

I will never for the life of me understand why people blind buy a perfume with Aldehydes clearly listed in the notes along with sandalwood also clearly listed and then COMPLAIN that the fragrance smells soapy. WELL DUH! Now that I got that off my chest I will begin my review. Rasheeqa is a lovely fragrance that is sweet, floral and indeed clean smelling. I think of a rich lady rubbing her beautifully manicured hands together as she rubs in VERY EXPENSIVE hand cream. I do not pick up the powdery notes but the creamy lotion effect is strong with this one. I LOVE this fragrance. Update: This is a BEAST! Two sprays lasted all day with a huge sillage. Use Caution.

High powered Rose BOMB. Period. Two sprays out the shower or bath will stay with you all day. Very, very strong. Tea Rose 10X. Perfume is concentrated like an Indian attar. Once it calms down - 1 hour later- you are in a rose cloud bubble for the rest of the day. Beautiful bottle and fragrance for rose lovers only. If you wear this in summer time, you will heat this fragrance up until it might be too much in small spaces. I cannot emphasize how strong it is.

I love it. It warms up my soul. To me smells like an indian massala incense. To be closed, like the Nag Champa from Goloka. Very sweet and smoky with a litle hint of orange peel. It has a very nice performance and dry down. Smells far expensiver than it is. I understand this is not a parfume for everyone. If you donnot like sweet floral this absolutelly not for you.

I have this in a spray. This is a big, fat, plump, juicy, red rose.......backed up with fruit and green freshness. I wear this at anytime, but is really pleasant to wear getting ready for bed. This perfume lasts a good long time on my skin. Did I mention that this rose is mouth watering? Yeah, I like it.

This is a "perfect" perfume in my mind. I am in love with everything about it! Low price, beautiful well balanced floral scent. It projects well and has amazing lasting ability! HIghly recommend.

Smelled like a rose garden. Everyone around complimented how realistic and rich the rose scent was, without being cloying. Normally not crazy about rose perfumes but this is a favorite.

I looove this! Jammy fruity woodsy very thick and extra long lasting. Going to buy this one for sure at some point! Yumm.

Warm and spicy, mature and very beautiful.

I'm just starting to explore Arabian perfumes, so when I say this doesn't smell like everything else take that as the POV of an American who mostly buys from the mall and the sample sites that are often recommended on here. It's a strong, classic rose scent but also fresh. It's heavy but not weighed down. I wouldn't call it green and it's not as airy as the aldehydes I know. The base notes give it a soft underlayer, but there must be only the faintest drop of them if that's sandalwood, cedar, and musk. They're pleasant but not announcing themselves. The sweetness is floral rather than a sweetened scent. Projection is better than arm's length with a very modest application and still going at that strength after two hours. It's got better power than most department store scents. I'm debating if this can be called work safe by US office standards. It's a lot of scent, but it's a classic enough profile and just a little soapy that if you said it was your hand lotion or shampoo you might be able to get away with it. Everyone is going to know you've used something scented.

This is a very powdery rose scent, almost like baby powder. It smells very dry and catches in your throat a bit. It reminds me somewhat of Amouage Dia pour femme. It’s not my type of scent but it’s not bothersome either. Update: this one is growing on me! It has more complexity than I got on my initial impression. The longevity is fantastic too.

Fresh, soapy, aldehydic floral bouquet that settles into a floral leaning musk. Purchased in Dubai. Blooms nicely in warm weather without being cloying. In my experience, I felt it was actually cloying in cold weather. Nice to wear alone or layer. Looking forward to getting a good amount of wear out of it this spring/summer.

Aldehydes + rose. Linear and loud. Not for warm weather, nice after a bath.

This was a blind buy, mostly because I like the bottle. The first blast reminded me strongly of something from my childhood. I couldn't put my finger on it, and then I saw that others have compared this to Rive Gauche. When I was a kid, my aunt wore Rive Gauche. I loved it on her. But Rasheeqa has some other quality that makes me think of sweat. After the fragrance has settled for a few hours, it gets softer and more appealing, but it's still just OK to me. I don't see myself reaching for this one, but the bottle looks pretty sitting on my dresser.

Green notes on top with rose notes underneath - I see what they're going for with this but the rose is nowhere near as silky as it is in Roses Malaki, and the green and aldehyde notes unfortunately add a smell similar to dish soap and so the rose is limited to what can be smelled beyond that prominent dish soap. It's definitely sharp and clean but Swiss Arabian has much better scents

Your mom is mad and washing your mouth out with a bar of ivory soap. After you finish you cover yourself in baby powder. That is this fragrance lol. You will certainly smell clean.

The dry down of this perfume oil is the only reason why i keep hold of this! OFew small drops on clothes(i tend to do this) and the sillage is great! The drydown is jammy rose with a blend of other florals. Unfortunately it gives me awful headaches and i am unable to tolerate the initial phase which has green notes that i just dont like. Thats why if i apply in small amount on clothes away from my face and forget about it, i tend to find that the room i have been in has a delicious aroma and esp if i have left my cardi etc in that room it is even more apparent.

Aldehydic note screeches like mineral/metal. Not the same as what is found in Chanel or Cabotine or Shalimar. Found this to be true for Swiss Arabian CPOs also: Yuyali Rouge and Amaali. I regret buying them, regardless of low cost. Behind the nose scrubbing qualities, there is a nice scent. Maturation won't save it, the CPOs are still screechy and I've had them for sometime (I forget when I bought them). They won't miss me, but I won't be doing another Swiss Arabian blind buy.

I just recently ordered a Swiss Arabian Perfume Discovery Kit & I must tell you that I am in love with this fragrance. It’s a beautiful fresh, woody rose scent that’s slightly aldehydic. It has an almost powdery scent & it lasted all day. It’s has great sillage. I was so enamored with it that I instantly purchased the largest bottle for my collection. I would definitely recommend this fragrance.

Perfumes are currently acyuellement much unisex, it's even easier with oriental perfumes, I have some based oudh and I bought it based on the reviews, well I'm disappointed for the meeting . yes it is powerful but holding is not compared to others I have, it just place in my collection, nothing more.
