SPIRIT OF VALENCIA

Tried this as a sample and discovered I'm a big fan of florals. Very versatile and easy to wear, any season, place, time and occasion. Unisex but leans a bit feminine, jasmine is very present in the wear but the rest of it is quite dynamic. Starts off zesty and some apple sweetness, dries into the florals and stays there for quite a while, before settling down into the amber and musk with a touch of floras in the background. This is big performer too, will easily last all day on skin and even longer on clothes. Definitely going to be buying a full bottle.

Just got this in today and already in love with it. Definitely get the Layton vibes but also with some Silver Mountain Water mixed in. I'm guessing that's why BR540 is being compared to this because it has a metallic type scent profile, but to me it leans more SMW. Lastly, the dry down smells like blueberry apple pie reminiscent of Prisma Amethyst in a way. Amazing amazing amazing

Honestly Swiss Arabian knocked this one out comes off as a mix of florals mainly that peony and jasmine followed by a wafting sweetness very spring time In a European village style smell imagine a mountain of flowers near you while you stand near a fruit vendor chopping fresh juicy fruit. Sillage and longevity are very good I smell it on clothes all day.

I looooove this, it’s fresh and deep at the same time. Smells like carefree happiness, sunshine and air in a botanical garden. Perfectly unisex for the warmer weather.

Without a doubt, this is the standout fragrance of the entire line. The blend of oud "surprisingly not even listed in the notes" mixed with apple and rich amber creates the impression of a deeply traditional Middle Eastern perfume. In fact, this fragrance feels far more deserving of a name inspired by cities like Dubai or Abu Dhabi rather than Valencia. It captures the essence of classic Arabic perfumery beautifully: heavy blended oud, warm amber, spicy floral notes, and that unmistakable rich Middle Eastern character that perfectly suits regional tastes. The scent comes across mature, elegant, and commanding, making it ideal for special occasions and formal gatherings. This is a bold unisex fragrance with strong personality. It is definitely not made for the faint-hearted, especially for those unfamiliar with dense, traditional Middle Eastern oud compositions. Longevity and projection: Both above average. This is quite a deceptive fragrance to me. When I first spray it I find the initial minute or two to be quite masculine leaning in the unisex side but when you give it a few more minutes it balances itself into a perfectly unisex scent with sweet florals and apple taking prominence in the notes. This one doesn’t seem too ambery or musky to me it seemed to stay pretty sweet

This leans heavily on feminine side

The scent is overpowering like that of Baccarat Rouge, which sadly, is not fir me. I found it to be headache inducing and smell i was desperate to get away from. Not many fragrances have evoked such a violent reaction from me but unfortunately it was not a fragrance I can tolerate. If you liked Baccarat then this will be right up your street. Sillage is enormous and longevity is for days, trust me. I think I'm more of clean, green, floral fan. Ambers are a go to in my collection.

Surprisingly bad for a collection that is so hyped up. While it's not noticably screechy or scratchy, it's certainly not high quality either, and that's evident by the near-eternal longevity and strong projection despite it being a fresh scent profile. High-quality fruit-based and floral ingredients simply do not last 10-12+ hours without a high dose of cheap aroma-chemicals, and what you're left with is a syrupy sweet mess. I expected way more- don't buy.

Sadly for me it caused the same kind of headache that I got with baccarat rouge 540. Reminded me of a cross between thinners and acetone, a very chemically scent. But that's my opinion.

I don’t know where people are getting a comparison of Baccarat Rouge 540 with this as I find it nothing like either the EDP or Extrait. I suppose if a person used 10 sprays of the EDP (which is waaaay too much) you could say they have similarities in projection, but that’s about it. I am smelling a definite boogie note that dominates and In this and an underlying smokiness I cannot account for based on the notes. It is reminiscent of a heavy smoker trying to cover the cigarette smell with the fragrance. Due to the booze and smoke, I find it difficult to get past the sleepy bar vibe I get. Perhaps with a few more tries it will change for me but for now if can say it’s not my thing.

This is a special scent -- the listed notes does not match how I interpret the smell. To me, 'Spirit of Valencia' smells like a dry, floral and fruity sparkling white wine with notes of crisp apple, lemon peels and white florals. It's very boozy and alcoholic, even after settling on skin. It's not *that* sweet but still has a feminine aura. It's a very beautiful smell - but I can't picture myself wearing this. The 'Cities' collection boasts some of the best value-for-money fragrances out there and I plan on owning them all, but out of the three I own so far, this is my least favorite to wear but I still very much enjoy the smell.

So calming and seductive. Although in my personal opinion it leans slightly more feminine with the florals. I personally find in its stead Enigma of Taif the better alternative as that one leans more masculine. Very beautiful scent however.

Opening is very unique, it smells like a fresh white wine. It dries into a suuuuuper layton-esque dna, without most of the spice. It’s good the opening can just be polarizing.
