Emishiki Sensation Blue

It surprises me that this bottle smells better than all sake I have in my whole life. So I did some research about Emishiki Sensation Blue and found out that it's the limited edition of sake from Japan, with the same notes as the perfume. So I want to try the sake itself now. The scent is fresh, sweet, yet gentle and peaceful. At first I thought it would be just another boozy scent but it's not like that at all. While the scent is good, the longevity is just around 3-6 hours. But spraying more of this bottle during the day is not a problem for me, and I can wear it to calm myself down during working hour. That's the best part.

This is a sake-based fragrance blended with lychee and floral notes, creating a refreshing take on sake that is both fruity and floral. Personally, I think Emishiki Sensation Blue is one of the most wearable scents in this collection. I usually reach for it on casual days, whereas I prefer Emishiki Sensation Black for work - though I’m sure some might feel differently! Regarding longevity, it’s fair to say that scents with this profile don't last as long as other offerings from Tada Parfumeur. On my skin, it lasts about 4 hours, but it's easy enough to carry for a top-up or just switch to a different scent later in the day.

This is beautiful and unique. I love the mix of sake and sweet notes. What comes out very strongly on me is the sandlewood. This is very peaceful to me. Unisex and refreshing for all seasons.

Off paper, it's a wild ride. It opens with a melon-y sweet not to dissimilar to fruity gum but that sake is riding in the background which quickly moves to the front. The fruits take a backseat as a realistic sake accord takes center stage giving you the impression of smelling a fruity sake with some floral accents. Truly that's what it's like. Fairly linear but very unique.
