Tasogare

Another collaboration between Tada and Prin that turned out truly captivating. It’s a natural green fragrance - somber, composed, and unique - and it is exceptionally well-crafted. The blend of freshness from Plum, Lavender, and Yuzu pairs beautifully with the greenery of Hinoki and Cypress, accented by Rose. Meanwhile, a touch of Oud provides support without becoming overbearing. If you are a fan of Prin’s work, this is a must-try. For followers of Tada, this is an interesting departure from his usual style. Regardless, you should definitely sample it in-store first; I wouldn't recommend a "blind buy" unless you are already very familiar with Prin’s signature style.

Tasogare by Tada Parfumeur and Prin Lomros A boozy, juicy, slightly tarty plum with greenish hinoki, velvety benzoin and woody incense is what I can pick up... Despite all the incense, the perfume feels straight up carnal, seductive from the first spray and stays till the last as the woods gradually darken and take over... Not the call of an angel in a robe, but the entrapment of a sheer kimono enrobed mistress.. Maybe this is what I would imagine waking up in the Ooku in imperial Edo Castle would smell like during tasogare (Japanese for twilight or dusk) ❤️

Very unique. Subjectively, the notes add up to a spicy coca cola accord for me. And it does smell like dusk. I like it, I don't love it. I would not buy a bottle, but it isn't bad. 7/10

Indeed pretty unique as the last review said. Tart and zippy in the open with the plum and a bit of a sharp hinoki note, all the smokey incensey resinous aspects are there as well. The sharp zinginess dies off a bit into the wear but the fruity plum essence remains, you're left with what I would call sort of a "high-pitched" incense scent as opposed to the completely deep, dark resinous stuff you usually get with fragrances centered around the note. It's good!

This is a beautiful fragrance 🔥🔥❤️❤️ and I just might have to buy a full bottle of this creation. I have a sample of this fragrance that I acquired when I purchased scented memories and I love this perfume house because it doesn't remind me of any other fragrance and so far his style of perfumery has this airynes quality that I admire. Much respect to both perfumers for creating this beautiful fragrance 🔥🔥❤️.
