Pentachords Verdant

I love this fragrance. I simply described the types of notes I liked to my swap partner and he sent me a sample of this as an extra. I absolutely love it! I feel kind of on the fence about it because Tauer 2 was my hands down favorite fragrance but Verdant is giving it stiff competition. The sweet and minty notes of this fragrance are not something I tend to look for in a fragrance but it works for me with Verdant. The tobacco, dirt, earth, soil, wet leaves....ahhhh, just what I love. I can't get enough of it. I think this fragrance is exceptional and it was apparently made especially for me!

Oh what a pitty , there is no positive review on verdant. I ve recently bought it and LOVE IT. all the green and minty mentioned is adorable on my skin, at the end there is something sweet ice creamy. I wish it was more lasting, just that, but Im very very happy with it. I have other samples By tauer, he is creating really interesting scents, lonestar memories, incense rose, carillion pour un ange, I agree with Yamba, anyone scent- curious and looking for originality should try tauer's perfumes! Second review on verdant. I never get tired of this one. fresh sweet earthy and medicinal. Totally uncommon. For me is a day scent, sometimes I overlay it on regular scents because it gives a sharp thing. You need just a little to get notice. Tauer perfumes last a lot. It s a liftmood perfume. You feel unique wearing verdant. I also have carillon pour ange, but it s a bit too strong now. Verdant is a jewel.

Amber, tobacco, ivy, leather and incense- what is there not to love? Pentachord Verdant is complex and intriguing. It reminds me of a piece of art; abstract. Not everyone will appreciate its eccentric personality but you can't deny its charm. I love it!

Wonderful!!! So intriguing and fascinating. Not for everyone though. If you are used to safe fragrances, this one is not for you. If you are a self confident person however, this fragrance will clearly let everyone know who rules!

This fragrance is extraordinary. Not easy to wear, may be. But really original. The green effect in the top notes is really astonishing!

It's weird at the first minute but after a while I had a wonderful and intriguing surprise.

Pentachord verdant is a dark horse it's not like anything I've tried before, which is something that Andy Tauer does well and should be proud of. The opening is a fresh blast of green leaves and the unmistakable scent of ivy encased in a puff of smoke which quickly dissipates. This is quickly backed by a menthol coolness of mint, strangely although this is a green scent the mint doesn't smell very authentic...if that makes sense? What I mean is it's not like smelling mint leaves more like a clean, cold, minty sensation. Mint is very evident thoughout and I'm surprised it's not listed in the notes here. Then Verdant takes a turn for the earthy and soil like which is not that typical patchouli dirt but somrhting which to my nose is entirely more palatable. The drydown is still lush and green but with sweetness, a hint of leather and tobacco but only a hint this fragrance is not deep but has a lovely mixture of green metallic and earthy notes. Pentachord Verdant is very interesting stuff...I like it! The projection is actually good it's a sneaky one just when it seems very quiet you'll get a wave of it coming at you. Doesn't last on my skin though but worth a sniff for the initial reaction, couldn't justify buying it but I enjoyed sampling.

I only have a sample of this cologne...And so for a month or two I would dab one or two dabs on my hand, or simply smell the sample tube. And all I'd get from it is a green, minty, sugary smell. Very pleasant. I never understood why people kept saying dirt, or earth...UNTIL, I decided today to actually wear this cologne and put about 20 dabs on, on both wrists and my entire neck. NOW I smell something I may relate to dirt, and something kind of like a very minty,nail-polish remover chemical like smell. It's not quite as green or sweet anymore either. It is strong, and I can imagine a few sprays from a decent sprayer could be alot to bear. I still like this scent, and I think it'd be perfect for cooler spring days because of its freshness. Yet, it almost has a winter weather vibe to it. It's odd, or better yet unique. I may have to have a bottle simply because I don't have anything like it in my collection. Even with the fact that it's strong smelling on yourself, I'm not sure it has very good projection, or sillage just because of the nature of the notes, (green,mint,etc.)But it does last a good while,just close to the skin.

Fresh, minty, earthy, herbal...smells like I broke open a bunch of green weeds in the woods and rubbed them all over me...ultra-green!!!...now turning into the smell of grass...I had to cheat and look at the notes, its ivy not grass. Seems to be drying out now and im getting a shot of something sweet, very hidden in there....now its turning into a slight toothpaste/minty ivy...I slightly get the vanilla sugar note some people reference...The minty ivy just keeps chugging along into the drydown. Definitely different and interesting. Id say down-the-road-decant worthy.

Green, dewy leaves plus a soft mint and bright celery. Mild, gauzy sweetness, like catching a whiff of linden on the breeze. Suede & faintly woodsy drydown. A synthetic natural, if that makes sense. Utterly unique. A gentle coolness-after-the-rain scent. It’s one of the few fragrances my sensitive-nosed, scent-averse partner actually likes (complimented, even!), though he is able to smell it a room away, while to me it’s a skin scent.

Astonishing lasting power! really incredable - i sprayed on the strip only once. 3 days later it's still super strong and didn't loose any of it's facetes. Not easy to find perfumes of such a quality nowadays. So bad i don't like Tauer scents.... Update: I think i'll give it a chance. It's so contradictory - green and smoky at the same time. Original, not outworn. I start to love it, really.

As a "green" scent, I like it overall. It's VERY much a Tauer... The vanilla-sugary note- like rock candy- I am not accustomed to smelling juxtaposed with foliage- yet the effect is elegant. This challenges me.

A present. Got soil and ivy. They are a bit wet (it rained?) and with some tobacco sprinkled over them. Sometimes the notes sound artificial, sometimes – very natural to me. Enjoying the scent.

Will someone sell me a mortar forking DECANT OF THIS SHIT PLEASE???? Im tired of being without it, and even Andy Tauer himself doesnt know where for me to find a bottle. Thank. You.

wearing this today. not grokking it. longevity was very short - 4 hours max? expected more out of a tauer in that department. i caught the soil and water thing. i didn't really catch the leather and incense though - other than there was "other stuff" in there and it could have been a mix of such things. like most of tauer's scents, this is extremely distinctive. ya gotta give the guy credit for trying different stuff. kudos!!!! absolutely worth trying, imo. not something i'll go buy a bottle of, but it's damn intriguing!

Very pungent ambroxan combined with greens, dust, mint, soil and earth notes and a hint of watermelon. Then incense, hint of leather and tobacco amped by ambroxan, and something sweet in the drydown. Not my thing-- very masculine on me. This would be an interesting scent though, minus the ambroxan, that really kills it for me. I can't smell any of the other notes anymore! Its a scrubber with my skin chemistry.

48)Alert, a failed experiment from CdG laboratories is escaped. Flee! The 3 Pentachords are the worst things i'have tried for a long time. It's all about soil tincture. For a quarter of the price there is a better compound fragrance, but quite completely identical, in SmellBent - Brussel Sprouted. This one at least makes it clear what you will smell.

minty, medicinal, like gas or car oil, something completely wrong on my skin. Very intensive opening, a scent was linear on my skin. I didn't dear to inhale it. I love leather in fragrances, but this time I pass. If it was a blind testing in no means I'd call it a fragrance. And it didn't pass my overnight test for longevity.
