Tuberose Flash

I really like this but I love intense spicey fragrances so you have been warned. I couldnt help be struck by its similarity to The Different Company Jasmin de Nuit. That same nose tingling spiciness. Not surprisingly tuberose is the first most evident note but I dont think the jasmine or neroli are far behind. I dont get any indoles which is a relief. I think the jasmin along with the neroli make this an intense fragrance with the benzoin and labdanum softening and sweetening everything whilst still retaining that refreshing fizziness. The fizziness wanes after half an hour and your left with a sexy, delicious, easy to wear tuberose that stays closer to your skin. Id say it was unisex. I like the tuberose note but its not always easy to wear as it is such an intense potentially migraine inducing note. It can easily be overwhelming. Andy has created another wearable masterpiece. I get moderate sillage and longevity but bear in mind my skin gobbles up scent.

This is a gorgeous, incense/ tuberose fragrance, with kind of a similar tuberose to the one in Fracas. The dry, smoky resins are a great support to the heady, menthol-y tuberose. I love all of the Flash series (although I'm sad the Incense Flash has too much vetiver for me - just a personal dislike of that note) but all of the series are strong, impactful and more complex than the names would suggest - they feature the ingredient they're named for, but are not simple or one-note but surprising takes on the ingredient. Plus it gives me a reason to have another tuberose perfume!

This is a beautiful tuberose fragrance. I have Moon Bloom and Truth or Dare already but I think my wardrobe can handle one more tuberosecentric scent. I would describe it as jammy tuberose in the same way that Tauer's Rose Vermeille is a jammy rose. It has an almost carmelized hint of sweetness about it without being too sweet. The dry down is almost chalky which I experience with Truth or Dare as well. Maybe from the benzoin? It isn't terribly complex but it's a novel and pleasant take on tuberose.

Tank Battle’s older sibling who drinks too much and swears a lot, and I’m obsessed. A shot of benzoin bourbon out of the bottle and a heavy draw of labdanum smoke, and then slides easy into creamy tuberose. Sweet and lazy, it lingers close for the evening, a faint breath of patchouli keeping it just a little dirty. Sexy as hell.

Tuberose Flash is a very buttery tuberose. Ttuberose with crème brulee and a drizzle of liqueur, plus a hint of patchouli in the base. It's really growing on me with later explorations. Maybe it's the warmer weather that brings out the best in this fragrance. This is diva and grand dame material.

This is a gorgeous resinous scent, with excellent potency and longevity- If Alien came out with a tuberose flanker, it would smell something like this- it also reminds me of A Travers le Miroir- I agree with lisa.m. kasper, the patchouli is barely noticeable- fortunately- Thanks, g.!

I imagine this is what a sexy, pretty much always drunk writer smells like. It is so delicious and enchanting. I literally roll my eyes backwards when I smell it out of pure ecstasy. I try to find tuberose parfums that are similar but none do it like Tauerville

Spiced white florals with a boozy edge; effervescent and sweet while still gooey and amber-driven. What a great take on Tuberose - a symphony of feminine and masculine energy.

This is less floral and more fruity. It reminds me of Fruitchouli Flash without the patch. It's very sweet, too.

When I first tried this I thought it wasn't tuberose centered enough to be called Tuberose Flash. Now, some months later, I think it is - it's just not a soliflore by any means. In this fragrance I get the mentholated, campherous, and also the bubblegum-y sweet facets of tuberose. Even though not listed, I think there must be some vanilla blended with the tuberose. In contrast to that, Tuberose Flash also contains some intense balsams and resins that are more dry and smokey than warm and balmy, almost spicy in a way. At moments I even smell some cold smokey incense in here. Over the time, the fragrance developes from a tuberose floral to a balsamic oriental with a hint of tuberose. This perfume was confusing to me at first, I think that's because I usually like my tuberose in a more feminine, sweet floral style. The smokey and campherous notes are a bit much for me in this context. But I was able to get over this and understand the scent better. It might not be for me, but it has some beautiful facets and it's good, interesting, very intense and long lasting fragrance.

This is nothing like Sotto la Luna Tuberose at all. Sotto la Luna Tuberose is a dense creamy milky tuberose. Tuberose Flash is fruity bubblegum! Which one you prefer depends on what you like. I honestly think Tuberose Flash is a worthy try for anyone who wants a unique gourmand. Actually, it's worth trying for anyone who simply wants something unique.

It is funny to me that I avoided Andy's Tuberose for so long. He even sent along a little thank you gift of the soap after I'd submitted a recent order. I never even popped open the cellophane thinking that it would be some sweet white flower scent that I don't gravitate towards. I love gardenia, but only when I step off the plane in Hawaii. I love jasmine, but only when I walk by it when it is blooming on a hot august night. ANYhoo, I went ahead and blind bought the Amber Flash and then ordered the discovery set of the rest of the Flash series. I tested the Tuberose last. BOY was I surprised! I agree with the other reviewers who say it is sweet and similar to Fruitchouli. In fact my first thought was sweet-tarts, or other such fruity candy. I laughed and thought, ok, not bad, but NOT going to buy a bottle of this! HOWEVER, since I put it on my chest and neck liberally before bed, I woke up a few times, as I do in the middle of the night, to the most beautiful scent softly wafting off of me! I love the dry down on this little gem. I probably won't buy a bottle this time around (saving my pennies for Fruitchouli and Vanilla Flash), but I do see myself impulsively buying this the next time I have a little extra perfume money. I believe, as with the other Tauerville Flash series fragrances, that the labdanum & benzoin are the key to heaven in this bottle (for me). Once again, as in the others, I just don't detect the patchouli. So it is done quite conservatively and mixes in enough that those who don't care for patchouli will not find it turning you into a hippie. Everyone else described the notes true enough, so I won't bother. (other than it really does have some fruitiness in it that is not officially called out). P.S. The Tuberose soap is coming OUT of the cellophane and IN to the shower with me tomorrow!

I have had this sample since shortly after it came out but never tried it because I have never been a fan of tuberose until lately. I ran across it recently and was excited because I’m finally getting into tuberose. But Tuberose Flash doesn’t really smell like tuberose at all to me but it’s quite gorgeous! It reminds me of Fruitchouli Flash with elements of Sotto La Luna Gardenia combined. It has that strange breakfast food quality of the Gardenia one while not actually being food like and I can’t figure it why it makes me think of breakfast syrup lol. It’s got the powdery floral feel of Fruitchouli Flash but I think I actually like this one a bit more. It’s not quite as sweet. The usual fantastic performance that you expect from Tauer. $63 for 30 mls for the Flash series is one of the best deals in niche perfume. I love Andy Tauer. He’s honest and fair minded and makes great perfume.

Has my nose gone crazy? Right off the bat I smell cumin. I have looked on Tauer’s site and lots of others and cannot find cumin listed anywhere but it’s so strong on me it was a scrubber. I think I lasted ten minutes before it had to go. Please if anyone sees or hears if this has cumin in it please msg me! I didn’t smell any tuberose in it while it was on.
