Y husband says that I always ask what he’s wearing when he has this on - I buy or pass on so many fragrances to him but this is the only one I didn’t buy him and the only one I ask about all the time. It also appears to be quite inexpensive. But the dry down on this is something else, pretty generic but still clean, fresh and appealing in the opening - soft and sweet on the dry down - a scent you just want to get close to. Thumbs up from me.

Incredible - absolutely brilliant profile The only problem is that there is absolutely no projection whatsoever - disappears 10 minutes after spraying unless you unleash 20 sprays. If it performed well would be an absolute beast. The Yuzu + Pepper note in the opening ( not in the notes here) is the stuff of dreams and has a playful yet masculine edge to it. Only fault is that there is no projection whatsoever

I really like this one for spring/summer day wear. Very masculine and to me somewhat unique. However you should try before you buy as you either will love or hate it

A nice smelling scent however performance leaves a lot to be desired on this fragrance. I received this as a secret santa present from work as everyone knows that I enjoy fragrances and it was cheap enough to meet the budget requirements we had set. The Scent itself is very pleasant. Fresh, woody and slightly sweet so I can't see anyone really disliking the scent as it is meant for mass appeal. The scent profile is one that I enjoy and can see myself getting a fair bit of use out of considering the mass appeal of the fragrance. The performance however is a real let down. It barely lasted 2hrs off my skin which makes it the weakest in my collection. Projection is the only strong point in relation to its performance however due to it barely lasting its not much to write home about. Despite this it us still a useful fragrance when running errands, in the gym or simply something to wear out of the shower. The presentation is pretty cheap. The bottle itself doesn't look terrible but the cap is plastic and cheap feeling which dampens the feel and quality of the presentation. The atomiser is also not great as it doesn't distribute evenly and more shoots out like a water pistol. All in all its a cheap and cheerful fragrance which smells good however it is let down by the performance and presentation. However if you can get past the poor performance and cheap bottle it does smell decent especially for the price. You can easily blind buy this scent but just be warned it does have its downsides which may be a deal breaker for many people.

A fairly recent scent (launched 2002) made for the once very popular (and now very troubled) British clothing retailer, Ted Baker. There's nothing new in the scent, it follows traditional lines for an everyday, sporty men's perfume. Yet has surprised me with its depth and quality. It's honest, it's clean, and it smells good. It's not sophisticated, but - to be fair - it smells better quality than the price or origin would suggest. The bottle is a chunky and attractive clear glass triangle, and the liquid has been coloured blue. When first sprayed it is strong with spice and citrus, and some alcohol. Aside from the alcohol off-notes, the scent is clean and attractive and quite masculine, as it dries down some clove emerges, then dominates, before fading to allow wood and gourmand scents to come through. I like it. Musky, woody, some cologne, some herbs, lots of spice and warmth and citrus (dark orange) and chocolate. Yummy. After the initial hit, the scent remains largely intimate, and can fade quite soon on exposed skin. Sprayed on the body which is then covered with clothing, it lasts longer. I find it quite a versatile scent. The sporty citrus allows for morning use, or after a shower; while that citrus combined with the gentle woods and spice, allows for bold, clean, everyday use. Its musky intimacy allows for seductive evening wear, though perhaps coupled with something else to give it more sophistication. This is very male, though there is room for it to be used by a sporty and/or confident girl.

New presentation, still triangular but juice is clear and different design on bottle. Paid £10 for 100ml. At first spray I thought It was a waste of money; a lazily decorated perfumers alcohol opening with no follow through. Boy was I wrong. The notes really popped out in an unexpected drydown. It's fairly linear after the initial alcohol blast. The composition is a cold, northern forest vibe mixed with barbershop but NOT fougere. Despite being green and woody, this is cold and sharp, open and airy, it doesn't have a close, steamy dense feeling that typical fougeres give off. I didn't have anything like this in my collection and I can totally see it being a spring/summer/autumn morning impulse reach. Nothing pm about this. It's a morning frag. Interesting and unique enough to go on the shelf. Herbal and invigorating. When smelling this off your skin, the last thing your brain processes is a fuzzy(vetiver) green, sweetness (fir resin) 7/10 overall. The stats above are about right.

I decided to try this out again after my shower when the lovely skinscentsforfusspots reminded me of W (which I like quite a bit) and I remembered my mother gave me this many many many years back (my liquid is blue). Whilst it doesn't really line up with what I tend to go for (Floral, Green,airy and a little sweet) , I can enjoy this as a break from my typical profiles; I finally see how nice Vetiver can be! It's an inexpensive scent to wear after the shower, around the house or as a post gym-scent when you're not going out later. It does have a certain "male deodorant" smell, but I also just think most generic male scents go for blue scent so I can't hold it against it. It does have a little bit of a personality to it I'd say. The slight earthy heat of the Corriander and Fir give it a little bit of a silent confident air. It's a subtle, masculine scent for the man who has other thing in life that inspire him more than perfume. I guess my mum knew something I didn't!

As said before, love or hate. I personally quite like it, though I've grown bored of it a little. My partner does not like it much, she says it smells (to quote me describing various other fragrences, talk about kicking yourself in the face...) a little bit "sh*tbag". Only a bit... Again, like someone said, I'd quite like a smell any other fragrances really similar, there's an element of it I REALLY like... but I'm not sure. Melon, as Ouch! says, perhaps... fruity. On an off chance, if you're like me, try out Boss Red... to me, that's what I imagined it smells like, while Boss Red actually DOES smell that good!

Gift. Pleasant, inoffensive, safe. Probably quite versatile. I put a layer of Acqua Di Parma Colonia under it. The Di Parma took over, giving a zesty barbershop air, with earthy, slightly flowery undertones. They both dried down at a fairly even rate, to a relaxed, soapy, woody, slightly floral balance. The M will outlast the Parma. On it's own, M is a fine enough cheapy, if you're comfortable with that: Slight wood, moderate rose and violets, but not too sweet or cloying. Easy on the sinuses. Maybe not for the Queen's garden party, but it'll do you fine for daily casual/ smart casual wear

This blue liquid is really pleasant. A smooth, sweet, musky, soapy and noticeable fragrance. A safe bet anytime. This is somewhat similar to Guess Man. Longevity and silage are both very good. You won't have to pay much for this either. I will get this again when I run out.

Cheap as chips, non offensive, can be worn at any time throughout the year with moderate projection and sillage. Genuinely don't know why it has such a low score. It isn't groundbreaking, but it certainly isn't gonna break the bank either.

M by Ted Baker: A nice, woody, musky scent with okay performance. Its affordable and is a good signature but it could be slightly boring. It does also smell synthetic but is very versatile. Notes: Fir, musk, woods, vetiver, amber 2.5/5

A simple, cheapie that I wear casually in the summer. Fun, sweet, inoffensive, ideal for 'jeans and T-shirt' days in the sun!

6.5/10 for the price this is decent, doesn't smell too synthetic either.

Generic designer Label brand with The tropical ocean beautiful blue of the bottle! But sadly, the haloween scare is that it's Mr/Mrs generic again. It's your usual designer fare all over with fresh top but this one tries token little bit of variety with a combination of stuff that could be watermelons/melons with bergamot and dash of coconut. It sounds pleasant and tries to be initially as all designer openings do, but just appears a synthetic hazy, powdery even confused offering in the end. Sometimes cloying and never properly natural or refined. I'm really not sure what the listed guiac woods, tonka and musk are for in a class aquatic? I definitely cannot detect any of these notes let alone begin to enjoy them! Ozone and calone to complete the misery. Sorry. Certainly try Virgin Island water; a real sun-kissed sea beach scent. The samples are cheaper than a bottle of this too! If you want a cheaper summery acquatic designer go for the Davidoff Game line. Much nicer and for only £10 a 50ml bottle, you cannot go wrong! Rating: 3/10.

I received this Ted Baker fragrance as a gift, and honestly, the opening caught me off guard in the best way. The citrus blend of mandarin and bergamot feels fresh and slightly sweet, and as it settles, the pepper and cardamom add a really nice warm spice. The base of amber, vetiver, and musk gives it a classy, well-rounded finish at least in the beginning. But the real issue is how quickly it disappears. Within an hour or two, it’s barely noticeable, sitting very close to the skin and losing that initial charm. It’s a shame, because the composition itself is actually quite refined and enjoyable. I genuinely like how this fragrance smells it has a clean, elegant character but the weak longevity makes it hard to fully appreciate. No matter the price, you expect a fragrance to stay with you longer than this. If this scent profile came with stronger performance, it would be an easy recommendation. As it stands, I’d love to find something similar that lasts and projects the way this one should.

Bought for me as a gift a couple of years ago by my son and daughter-in-law.synthetic, sweet opening but virtually no sillage and reduced to a weak skin scent after 1 hour.I know it's only a cheapie but at around the same price range I'd recommend Cerruti 1881 instead, much better, classier fragrance and performance.

Love the bottle design, the blue colouring and the price... and that’s where the love stops. The actual scent is generic and lacks any kind of oomph. Won’t be buying again but then suspect that the bottle will be a fixture on my shelf for a while yet given I’m not likely to use it regularly.

In my opinion this fragrance just smells like toilet water... no thanks!
