My mum bought me a small one of these for Christmas and I disliked the initial smell but fell in love with the dry down. What I didn’t realise is that this perfume was to become one of my most memorable. I lost my doggy of 14 years on Jan 30 and this was the perfume I wore that day, along with my fluffy blue jumper you can see in my profile picture (I was probably wearing it there too). Every time I smell it, I think of my beautiful boy. It is powdery, feminine, very like Parma violets when you take that first crunch into one and get a little of the dust wafting round your nose. It is lovely. It lasts around 3-4 hours with me but I usually top up. It’s not a massive projector but it’s by no means bad in anyway. I bought a big 100ml of this so I can always be reminded of my dog.

Was bought this as a Christmas present and would never have brought this for myself as not really a fan of Ted Baker however, for some weird reason I fell in love with this scent. I would definitely buy this again.

The new bottles of W (clear liquid with a red w across the bottle) list different notes, but it smells like the same perfume as the old pink version with less violet. The notes on the box of the new bottle are..... Top: Grapefruit, Rhubarb and Cassis Heart: Rose, Peony and Jasmine Base: Musk and Vanilla I think that there is still violet and raspberry here but the new version is just a tiny bit sweeter, less acidic and it’s a tiny bit weaker. It’s the dry down where you lose the violet. I’ve had the pink bottle for a while and the tingly sharpness is what had me torn on it initially, but it really grew on me. They’re both very pretty and easy going spring / summer scents that almost have a feel of honeysuckle in the way the floral sweetness wafts around! I’d grab the pink juice if you’re a violet lover and the new clear juice if you’re not into violet :)

I am so torn on this one. It’s super subtle but it also makes my nose tingle! I tried it because of the Parma Violet sweets comparisons, but this is not anything like that to me. It’s a dry Violet, not sugary at all. There is sweetness in the scent (it dries down really nicely to have a slight raspberry sugary sweetness, but the actual Violet notes are missing the sweetness and that’s what’s stinging my nostrils! It’s confusing because I sort of like it while also really not liking it! After not too long it becomes a skin scent and by that time the nasal tingle has calmed down a lot. I don’t get much vanilla. It’s just a slightly sweet floral now. I’m sort of enchanted but also don’t know yet if I’d recommend it. I don’t normally feel so torn over a perfume!
