XO Extraordinary

This doesn’t get much love but it’s a super easy to wear bubblegum tuberose. It’s not cloyingly sweet but it’s not screechy. There’s no fruit listed but it almost has a watery and juicy vibe that suggests some sort of fruitiness.... Almost light watermelon or something. If you told me there was a tea note I’d be like ahhhh.... Okay that’s where that lightness is coming from! It’s not buttery or too powdery so it smells like fresh flowers. There's a soft almondy sweetness from the Heliotrope the more it dries down but it's a relatively linear scent. I love tuberose but I find it hard to find genuinely wearable tuberose perfumes as there’s so often something in the mix like vanilla or patchouli that changes the floral vibe. This one is just perfect if you like the sweet, plum toned bubblegum tuberose in the OG Poison, but don’t want the weight and smokey, animalic feel of that perfume. Or maybe even if you like the idea of Hypnotic poison but it's too strong, sweet, powdery and medicinal. The combo of sweet tuberose and heliotrope might scratch an itch for you as it does me! It’s so pretty and easy going!

I had this some time ago. It was good, many gorgeous white flowers in it. Yet somehow something in it was not truely all the way appealing to me, so I couldn't really love it. I actually thought it had cashmere in it, but maybe it was the musk together with the heliotrope that played a trick on me...? Something was sweet about it at least. It was mostly a fall-winter scent.

Interesting bottle design, the frag certainly is pleasant, better than xo2, but I didnt love it, pretty much like most Ted Baker frags

Got this as a gift. It's OK, it's what most cheaper perfumes smell like to me. It's a sweet floral. Doesn't last long though. Suppose it's good for the gym. I've had this 2 years and don't really reach for it. It's not horrible, just not wow in my opinion.

It's an average floral perfume that doesn't last long, but is affordable. Doesn't smell chemically at all unlike other Ted Baker perfumes I've smelled. Managed to get a 100ml bottle of this for £12.99 at Savers.

I got a gift set of Ted Baker perfume minis, including Woman, XO, X2O and W. Sillage and longevity are really weak in all of them. Like with the other scents, XO didn't make much of an impression while I was wearing it, too weak and lacking that "oomph". But as I was undressing myself before bed I got a gentle waft of something quite sweet and pretty from my shirt. Apparently XO sticks to clothes better than to skin. This is the only frag in the bunch I would wear. With the nonexistent longevity and sillage I don't see much point, though.

This might just be me, but when I smell this, I smell Givenchy's Amariage. *shrug* It's quite "old lady" but it's fine for everyday use.
