Passing Stranger

First one I dived into from the discovery set I got in the mail this week. A gorgeous, effortless easy-to-wear fougere. Opens with a beautiful, airy lavender, but this really shines when the geranium blossoms. Hours later I’m getting touches of the rose; lovely! So clean and chic, and made me feel like a million bucks walking down the streets of Washington DC on a short holiday weekend. Long lasting, very well constructed, blended beautifully, and overall a fantastic creation by Teddy. Well done! I got Ormaie’s Le Passant three years ago; a blind buy, and was a bit disappointed when hoping for a new approach to a classic fougere. The bottle is still practically full. Passing Stranger is what I wanted La Passant to be. I would blow through a bottle of PS.

I get “husbands fougere oversprayed onto a bar of Irish Spring soap”. And I think I like it... but more in the mid and dry down. The top is still a bit too lavender heavy for me and I don’t get much of the bergamot but it’s definitely mossy, crisp mountaintop air. It’s a clean them (not clean girl since this is a true unisex) perfume but much more interesting than a skin musk. The slightest spice from geranium, I imagine, but not nearly enough to put off anyone who isn’t into a spicy fragrance. A little bit on the fence with this one but overall like it.

This is a reallly nice fragrance. It feels really high quality, something I can’t say for most of the fragrances I own. It’s unique while also familiar. For some reason, it reminds me of the mall, maybe even specifically the Lush store. It’s really fresh in a non citrusy way. Not sure I’d wear this often, but can’t say enough about the quality of this perfume.

Its a lovely clean scent that reminds me of dryer sheets. The oakmoss and mountain air accord strike a nice balance with the lavender and iris, that altogether feel like an improvement on the one note itis bombs on the market. The sillage and longevity are both good, making this a solid everyday fragrance.

It smells clean, like laundry. Fresh hotel towels. Maybe expensive soap At first I smell lavender and mountain air. It is very airy and light. After that it becomes more soft and a little bit herbal, maybe some moss or geranium. Everything is smooth, but also too soft. It is a fresh fougere, but very safe. Almost too safe. It is like something I already smelled before in other perfumes or even fabric softeners. Not bad, just not special I think some people will enjoy it because it is clean and easy to wear. But for me it is too polite, too quiet. I was waiting for a moment that makes me feel something...but it never came. Just laundry feelings. Nice, but forgettable imo.
