Jasmin di Giava

I have a future plan to consider testing and if not,to buy Angel one day if I manage to save up for one and would compare that with this one day. Now to describe this scent.I know some scents are targeted for a specific age group or are much suitable for a certain age.As someone who is 19(I had this when I was 18),I can say it is quite a mature scent and I'm too shy to wear this in public.It is that scent that is also "heady-airy". I like this scent so much due to it's so comforting for me.I wear this to bed because it makes me fall asleep. To describe the scent,The first blast is a strong bitter chocolate,patchouli and jasmine scent.Then it goes from that to the dusty phase that I really can't tell why it smells so dusty(maybe it's from the earthy patchouli).Almost like the smell of a sandstorm-y day.Then what remains for me is a close to skin jasmine and the soft-tart fruity smell(must be the passion fruit or red berries) and then the patchouli which will last forever on clothes so don't spray too much on your clothes. It is so sexy and dirty and sweet at the same time I would love to smell this on someone.Someone who I would consider intimate. Also,it reminds me so much of biting into an After eight mint chocolate which I loved as a child. Sillage is something I really can't tell for myself but longevity-wise,It's long lasting.

This do smell EXACTLY like TM Angel!! I love Angel, one of my top five and i cant tell the difference on these two! Maybe a bit less bitter choclat and a bit more caramel! Power and longavity are as good as real Angel! WHY did i spend 140 $ on 3,4 oz Angel when i got the same amount of this gem for 7 euros ( 10 $ ) on Ebay.it?? It does not smell cheap in any sense, only the tin bottle could be be more fun! Bath and body products are great to, matches real Angel nicely!:)

My favorite from TO range. No wonder, because I am an Angel addict. Very similar, not exactly 100%. Jasmin di Giava is less creamy, more powdery, more cocoa powder than chocolate. It is also little bit more masculine. I went through many bottles of it and countless related products like shower gels and bubble bath. This fragrance continues to mesmerize me and I have to say it has better performance on me than the latest reformulations of Angel.

Jasmin di Giava is a bitter-sweet bomb. Imagine tasting bitter dark chocolate with vanilla aroma. Patchouli and jasmine bring this bitterness to a higher sophisticated and serious level. Dark, oriental and seductive..suitable for both sexes and imo best for colder days. But you must be a foxy one to pull this one off.

Wow! Absolutely a dupe of mugler angel, but obviously it's more subtle, Very cheap and I am really pleased with my purchase :), the only bad point it's a bottle...

It is so oriental, sweet and comfy! I never thought that jasmin can be so oriental and warm. Nice composition.

Wow...wow...perfect Mugler's dupe of Angel!!!! I like it so much...On my skin I feel it more than 8 hours...

yes, it reminds of angel, but NO, this is not angel. it has, however its own personality. it is a rich oriental scent. ambre, heavy jasmine, powdery vanilla, sweet and rich dark notes. it`s a night perfume. It`s very feminine and simple. it`s preffereable to scents that mix too much! sometimes less is more and the jasmine in this one clearly defines the meaning of it! I also liked the design of the bottle. I like buddhist imagery! I wouldn`t know, however what is the difference between regular jasmine that grows in my garden and java jasmine. all I know is that the indonesian isle of java is also known as the jasmine island. it has volcanoes and rich agricultural lands. it`s warm and wet. it has a fascinating culture and artistic values that have been shaped by buddhism, hinduism and islamic beliefs as well. there, the jasmine is called "melati putih" and is the most important flower in wedding ceremonies for ethnic Indonesians. the perfume has a certain sensuality. it seems to be long lasting and slightly narcotic. it goes well with a larger spectrum of colors. one can easily associate white and also black with jasmine, but somehow it steers away from neutrals such as beige, grey or boring/ faded tints.

well this may as well be a good Angel dupe but somehow that wasn't the first thing that came to mind..but the question 'where is the jasmine?' . Was expecting a bit more given the name, but not disappointed at all. now - I love my patchouli but Angel never worked for me, somehow Angel only shown it's band-aid side to me. this 'jasmine' on the other hand is easier to get along with and yet it does deliver that Angel vibe. Much recommended if, like myself, you have found that Angel did not work as beautifully on your skin as on other's. To me, it is much better than Angel, because it delivers. :) am simple minded like that! With regards to quality, am stunned this time...a lot of frags in this price range tend to be more synthehic, lacking complexity, longevity, sillage, you name it. This one seem to have well avoided the caviats of cheap frags and delivered like a niche was supposed to. (not saying niche always delivers more than cheapies, but that in my experience they are more likely to). All in all, if you don't mind the bottle, like the Angel vibe, this baby will give you just as much bang (if not more) as an expensive niche imho. Or even Angel itself. xxx

Taken by a compulsive shopping spree, I emptied the Treasures of the East sector. Having snubbed and / or underestimated it for years and years, despite having appreciated its olfactory performance on several occasions. After reading all the reviews here on Fragrantica, I decided to test and experience these cheap fragrances, very synthetic but still pleasant, if it goes I will spray them in the rooms ... Jasmin of Java by Tesori d'Oriente: at the opening the citrus notes triumph solemnly , fresh and radiant. When dry, the citrus notes are combined with a rich fruit side dish surrounded by delicate floral notes of jasmine and lily of the valley. At the dry down unexpectedly the bland takes on a frankly gourmand connotation with oriental accents. Very reminiscent of Thierry Mugler's Angel.

Wow, I didn't know that Tesori d'Oriente fragrances have joined Fragrantica database!!! I like many of them, they are very rich and either flowery-spicy-orientals or woody-spicy-orientals. From cap sniffing, they are incredibly pleasant, at the moment I just can't decide which one to buy! Jasmin di Giava is yummy and sensual, exotic by being oriental and definitely NOT the fresh grassy type(with tuberose or gardenia). I think I can detect the powdery influence of orange blossom, some sweet woods, musk spices, maybe some cinnamon and coriander too. For the price I find it a real treat for the lovers of rich orientals. Of course, I can't deny the fact that the low price tag reflects its so-so quality... Anyway, Jasmin di Giava is worth a try, as well as the ones with frangipani or poppy.

Most of the time these perfumed items end up in our shopping cart more for small daily gratification than real necessity, or basic needs. Many times when burning disappointment is a calculated risk, rare ones in which discovery leaves us astonished, as in case of Jasmin di Giava. Its twin brother has undoubted depht, history and rightly reverence, but J.di Giava shines with its own light and must not fear that angel brother may obscure it. I like this patchouli, poised between exotic and sidereal thanks to the lily-of-the-Valley. Its trail is endless, and doesn't change at all on my skin on synthetic or unnatural side. From me it gets the highest marks, for an expense al my lowest historical level.

As other reviewers have observed, this is a great substitute for TM Angel (and about fifteen times cheaper). To me, this is all about patchouli, caramel and chocolate. The opening smells exactly like Angel, but then it turns a bit more bitter. Its projection and longevity are very decent, 6 hours at least, but it's not as headachey as Angel. Would make a great present for a teenage girl who is just getting into gourmands.

This is a dupe wannabe for Angel but a unisex or even a male version of it. So as a woman who wants to smell feminine (as with original Angel), I'll pass on this even for the 4 euro they are asking in my store.. Undeniably similar to Angel but without the depth and sweetness whigh makes Angel so feminine and designer smelling I better invest the 4 bucks in a nice cup of coffee instead. Cheers😀

It's a softer and more wearable version of Angel! The lasting power of all these fragrances is great too! While Jasmin of java smells just like Angel... Fiore del dragone --> Hypnotic poison Dior; Africa --> Le male JPG; Hammam --> Cinema YSL; Papavero --> Flower by Kenzo; Mirra --> Cashmir Chopard. IMO :)

It does smell like Angel on me, less chocolate-honey-ish than Angel, but it's sooo close i am really surprised since this was a blind buy, and i didn't even know it was supposed to be similar to one of my favorite perfumes! Lucky buy i guess. Pretty nice for a 8 euro perfume :)

Yes, smells like Mugler Angel definately, the first minutes are really heavy, but after the scent turns more intimate and close to the skin I think. The smell itself is great, sillage and lasting not as good as Angel for sure, I know for only 3/4 price it's not a bad thing:)

Jasmin di Giava, smells just like Angel by T.Mugler. I just cannot wear Angel, but love the smell on other people. This, however is so delicate and wearable,it's ''Angel'' I can wear :) and I love it. Love to layer with the shower gel and body cream.

This is the perfect version of Angel, it has the right sillage and the right longevity. It smells the same in my opinion minus the annoying licorice tone. I love it, love the price and will restock while Im in Italy since this costs 3.46eur here.
