Warm Sands Blue Ocean 4160 Tuesdays

This is my current favorite summer fragrance. It's an aromatic vanilla and coconut fragrance. It isn't your typical "sunscreen" scent. I get a hint of white florals in the background and they just meld everything together. I also get some musk in the dry down. A clean musk, but it's creamy at the same time. And I swear I can smell the salty sand. I don't know how Sarah McCartney does it, but she's truly an artist at perfumery. Edit/ this is a softer scent but I'm this summer heat, it's radiating off of my skin. Projection is moderate but it gives e a nice scent bubble. A perfect beach-y summer fragrance that doesn't smell synthetic.

A magical, vintage summer beach vacation in a bottle: a lovely scent with coconut and vanilla dominating. I’m also picking up the ocean smells—salt and marine water— but what’s remarkable is I can smell the sand. It’s dry and chalky, and it’s the note that elevates this perfume and makes it different. Love from me.

My sister let me try the scent finder and I told her I like perfumes that smell like sunscreen and she actually found it! This is my favorite perfume so far. I live in the Appalachian mountains so this brings the beach to me. I hate that it’s so expensive but I can see why. It smells amazing!!!

One of my favorite summer scents. The salty vanilla and coconut is just beautiful. It's not too heavy on any of the notes and the scent bubble for me is massive. Well blended. Musky and marine, but the vanilla and coconut balance it out.

i pine for this perfume i fear i might never find anything as good as it. i still carry my empty sample vial around just to smell and keep me and my nose happy☺️

How is ginger not listed as a note? Granted, I’m a newer collector with an amateur nose, but even those entering my scent bubble thought it was in there. No complaints, though! I really like it. It’s a blast of ginger at the start, and that spiciness hangs around for a long while (4 hr+) as it dries down into a simple but yummy coconut/vanilla blend. Although it became more of a skin scent after 4 hours or so, it lingered for over 8. That’s an impressive feat for my scent-sucking skin. And when doing laundry two days later, I could still smell it on my clothes. I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of transformation happening in the 4160 scents I’ve tried (this, What I Did On My Holidays, and Wash Me In The Water), but I really like or love what I get.

It tells the therapeutic story of a long day on the beach that you lazily reflect upon on your ride back home, wrapped in a towel that still has sand on it. It's the buzzing feeling of a pleasantly empty mind and a mildly exhausted body, drops of salt on the skin, the sun setting behind your back. This is truly, truly the perfect memory of a beach day and I won't exaggerate if I tell you that it heals my soul. I get much more warm sand than sunscreen, but it's okay, it's still there, everything is there in all the right amounts. I wouldn't call it a linear fragrance, but there are not many surprises throughout either. The development is so natural, it slowly fades away, just like the aroma of your beach day would fade away with each step you take further from the sea and the sand. Longevity is more than perfect for me, 8+ hours going strong. I didn't overdo it with the sprays, so I'm not sure about the sillage, but I'm betting on a rather intimate one that sneaks up on you and never hits you in the nose directly. Update: Wrong about the sillage. It's strong, however that's not necessarily a good thing. I bought a full bottle and sadly, when I spray myself a bit more, a screeching chemical smell, akin to that of window cleaner spray emerges and suffocates the otherwise great experience, as well as myself :( I'll still try it from time to time and spray lighter, but I'm sad it's not a bit more subdued.

This doesn't work for me but the scent certainly fits the name and the notes. Coconut is always hit or miss for me so no disrespect.

Ordered a handful of summer scents from Luckyscent & took a chance on this one. I can see how someone would think it was pretty, but unfortunately salty/marine notes continue to disgust me. I've yet to find one that isn't nauseating. To my nose, this is plasticy, synthetic, and faintly diarrheal. Smells like opening an old nalgene bottle that you took to the beach and then forgot in the back of your car.

I was hoping for a more prominent sunscreen note or coconut note, but all I smell is aquatic notes and very, very strong musk. This scent was too busy and generic for me. Smelled like picking up any random blue bottle in a Nordstroms or Macy's.

This is a particularly beautiful beachy scent, without being overly thematic, since soft florals add elegance, and the coconut is not in any way overbearing. It really conjures up a breezy Tahitian resort getaway! I get a lot of salty, tropical vanilla and even a hint of a distant beach bonfire. As soon as I spritzed this one I knew it would be a love. It performs wonderfully through the day, and although sadly I haven't yet had the opportunity to wear it on an actual beach, it certainly takes my mind there.

This is my new favorite summer scent. It’s kind of like Sydney Rock Pool light (less sandalwood) . It’s a really light beachy vanilla. You can’t overspray it. Woods are not listed in the notes, but I get a very subtle wood in the drydown. It’s easy, it’s appropriate for day or nighttime. I ordered a full bottle the first day I had the sample and I don’t buy many full bottles. Love!!!!

This does exactly what you'd expect and it does it very well. It's the perfect beach scent and yes, it does have a hint of sun tan lotion, but it also captures the sea and the sand. Wear it in summer and wear it in winter when the beach is just a sunny memory. ( Also seek out 4160 Tuesdays Saltburn Driftwood for an out of season beach scent)
