#103 of My Fragrance Journey - Thameen Bohemian Infusion: The dandy's ghost in a garden that remembers something you don't. You're not walking through Covent Garden. You're chasing a version of it that shouldn't exist anymore - 19th-century grit, freshly scrubbed by morning rain. That moment just before the world stirs again, when the air feels held. Someone passed through and didn't quite leave. Damp stone. Early light. Fabric is still warm from yesterday. You catch it without trying. It opens like a flash of silver. Cold, precise, a little electric. The grapefruit isn't juicy - it's sharper than that, thinner, popping with a kind of restless energy. Petitgrain comes in tactile and green, like breaking a stem between your fingers just to smell what's inside. Clean but not innocent. Rehearsed, but still spontaneous somehow. Then artemisia threads through with that slightly bitter, restless edge, and myrtle hums quietly underneath - a high-definition greenness that has nothing to do with barbershops or anything that obvious. This is fougère, but modern. Sharp tailoring, wet cobblestones, herbal tonics that actually breathe. It doesn't settle so much as shift - keeping its posture while moving underneath. Cardamom and cinnamon come in soft, restrained, faintly sweet but held back. The base pulls toward patchouli and labdanum, something archive-like, a vintage gentleman's study - but it never tips fully into the familiar. It stays right at that edge. Fresh and grounded at the same time, without letting either one win. That tension is the whole point of this fragrance. It's not casual, but it's not stiff. Not heavy, but there's gravity to it. It feels like someone who knows exactly how they come across and leaves something unsaid on purpose. A dandy in a well-cut suit standing in a muddy alleyway. Composed. A bit unpredictable. The trail is crisp and close - cool skin, pressed fabric, green air held a moment too long. It doesn't demand anything. It just... stays. Like a ghost might. Present, but just beyond reach. You wear this when you want precision without losing tension. When you want to look completely in control while carrying something you're not quite ready to explain. Vibe: Wet stone and pressed linen. Silver light through a window that shouldn't still be open. Performance: 6–8 hours, consistent and close. Never loud, never gone. Very nice, the grapefruit in this really pops and the ambroxin isn't overdone like in Perseus. There's an almost fougere quality to it, but it doesn't go full aromatic, just enough to tease at least for the opening and mid. However in the dry down the fougere aspects really shine, as the grapefruit takes a backseat. I am really enjoying this house, it's niche but still approachable, and most of their fragrances go through phases, it rarely stays the same. BTW this does not smell like Apex, like at all. As far as Oud, I don't smell any Oud and I don't see Oud listed. This is a warm weather fragrance but it could also be worn in fall. It's masculine at it's core, but manages not to be typical. It's essence is green/citrus with a touch of aromatics thrown it, it's an older style fragrance but doesn't smell outdated or old fashioned. Bravo!

I think I'll always be optimistic for new smells when the years come round, but as far as making a scent that smells like "me", im speechless. Love this juice so much. The modern fougre reprisals some of these brands are doing really blow me away, and this brand is no different.

The opening is a bit too sharp and a bit too sweet. This doesn’t last that long however, but can put people off. The dry down is Ambroxan heavy and can give you vibes of something like Creed Royal Water. It’s nice, but nothing new or interesting to see here.

The opening of this fragrance is a bit tough ( can be a bit repulsive ). but wait, give it sometime till it cool down. herbs and citrus are well defined, loved it the dry down phase. fair radiance and longlastivity (610). can be scored as 7.5/10.

A favorite in my collection, it's fun and serious at the same time. A nod to the classics with a modern flare!

I LOVE THIS MASTERPIECE ! Unique, charming

Pleasant semisynthetic woody amber with distinct aromatic herbal facets. The scent is meant to evoke the bohemian air of Paris gardens in the early 20th century. It opens with aromatic notes of grapefruit, black currant, petitgrain and some cardamom. The heart is distinctly aromatic herbal with cinnamon, myrtle, artemisia and ginger. The scent settles on a powdery synthetic amber base which also gives off hints of patchouli and labdanum. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and longevity. Like its name it is a freewheeling carefree ambery aromatic which does not give off any strong vibe, placing it in the cologne category. Enjoy!

Fresh and spicy (even peppery) start with bitter grapefruit peels and heavier Oriental base. It has a bit masculine (barbershop type) vibe, probably because of slightly soapy and green undertones. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

This opens bitter green and herbal. The grapefruit blends really nice providing a citric smoothness. As it develops, the herbal accords die down slightly and it become a lot more Ambery. In the dry down, it actually reminded me somewhat of Dior Sauvage Elixir. In terms of performance, I found this to be incredibly powerful. First time wearing it I used 6 sprays and it was probably a mistake. I found the fragrance almost choking. Longevity was extremely good too and I’m really surprised by some of the poorer performance ratings. Overall, I really liked the opening but I did find the dry down a little boring. I will also need to give it more wears without over spraying. As i said, I really did find it quite choking the first time I wore it.

Spicy, citrus soap. I liked the first 15 or 20 minutes but then the scent wore me out. Drydown reminded me of dryer sheets. Warning: Bohemian Infusion is tenacious and it’s hard to scrub off. This bohemian is a mix of herbs, clean shaven and freshly showered. Unfortunately it’s just too much.

Decent, clean and nuanced. Feminine leaning. Nothing special. Laundry pod vibes.

An Aromatic, dry, bitter male fougure. To bitter and dry for my taste.

The entire Britologne collection is very appealing to me, first and foremost because I’m all for cologne-style fragrances. This collection feels like Christopher Chong’s legacy for the house of Thameen now that he has moved on, which makes me wonder if the line will be vaulted or if they will continue adding to it. Bohemian Infusion is the standout for versatility. It’s one of those fragrances you can wear every day to every occasion, which is a huge plus for me. My experience with this scent changed drastically. When I first smelled a 2ml sample years ago alongside Fanfare, I immediately noticed similarities to John Varvatos Dark Rebel (OG). This was strange, as Dark Rebel is a smoky leather composition, not a citrus cologne with herbs. However, after acquiring a full bottle and spending real time with it, I don’t get those similarities anymore. It’s a fascinating shift and exactly why I never give up on fragrances I don't click with immediately—I give them time on the shelf to let my perception evolve. The scent starts incredibly aromatic and green, with sparkling citruses and herbs that are super invigorating. For the first hour, it projects quite loudly, but it eventually settles into something softer, leaning more ambery/vanilla than aromatic in the dry down. You can clearly tell it was meticulously crafted by two master perfumers. The wearing experience is very comfortable; I don’t get bored of it, and it has definitely become a fragrance I reach for often, especially for work settings. The bottle design is really nice (the magnetic cap is a plus), but I still wouldn’t recommend paying full price for Thameen fragrances. Luckily, they are available at most major discounters these days, making it a great pickup.

The opening is probably the least unique part about the scent. Aromatic, camphorous-fougere that can be had in many different forms from Roja and/or Creed. The instant drydown is the sweetened woody-aromatic profile that I love in Creed's Royal Oud, but here there's an added citrusy tone. It does also have a very bizarre herbal tonality a little bit like the rhubarb note in Elysium Eau Intense mixed with petitgrain. I do feel like there's accord overlap in this scent with something like Roja's Danger? I haven't smelled a Roja in a while, but that's the feeling it has. Definitely masculine. Performance blows even more than the performance on Fanfare, so not worth the retail price.

Covent Garden was a colorful and varied meeting place of the Dandy world, and this fragrance wants to celebrate the most typical aspects of this world. A classic, masculine, elegant and distinctive base, almost as if it were cologne, enriched with very strong green and citrus notes. “Dandy, it is said of someone who professes a singular opinion of his own merits, accentuating his eccentricity with his clothes. “(Ambrose Bierce) “The Dandy Club” portrayed by Richard Dighton.

The first five minutes were nice and I thought I’d love it, but then came the heavy aromachemicals that killed any other notes for me. It’s kind of like an ice pick through the head. It’s sad because in the later stages I can sort of smell what kind of smells like a graham cracker patchouli, for lack of a better description, but again, the heavy aromachemicals stop me from really getting it and enjoying it. It’s also very tenacious!!

Fresh grapefruit (lemon even), soap and dry patchouli. Classic and elegant men's scent, kind of reminiscent of Colonia by acqua di parma. This one is not acidic and has more depth, better longevity and is actually wearable. If you like acqua di parma this is worth a try. I would say it is more masculine than unisex. Also smells more youthful than Colonia and has no bitterness which I appreciate.

Very nice aromatic spicy fragrance except for too much ambroxan in the base. I don,t like this component. It, s an unpleasant smelling synthetic component which is everywhere in the male perfumes nowadays, which is already boring. For the cheap ones one can understand, but for the expensive I don, t tolerate it.

This is exceptionally longlasting citrusy herbal cologne... The performance is like of an extract. But its not annoying or lemony. Cardamom and ginger balances it out. Highly recommend if you are looking for something citrusy and classic and want longevity. Preferrably more suited for men i think.
