Coconut Sun

Coconut Sun is my last sample from my The 7 Virtues, and it is not what I expected - it is better. Rather than a creamy, sweet suntan lotion scent, it is unexpectedly fresh, and the listed notes smell jarringly realistic. The coconut water note is dominant, reminiscent of the bottled drink, and it is given bright freshness by the citrus. It is a beautiful composition, nicely-balanced throughout, featuring points of interest. CS is coconut-dominant from initial spray, with the coconut water note beautifully-rendered. It is refreshing in every sense, lightweight and somewhat dewy rather than lactonic and creamy. It still doesn't compromise on its tropical theme, especially as the sweet frangipani emerges, adding a sweet, floral lushness. As it develops, the vanilla in the base becomes evident, adding sweetness and body without becoming overpowering. It becomes salty here, adding to the theme nicely while balancing out the sweetness. Some jasmine adds body, a nice inclusion in scents of this genre. It remains a sweet, lightweight coconut scent throughout, with more vanilla than fruit evident as it develops. It fades to a salty marine scent with a touch of vanilla-sweetened coconut evident until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine-leaning summertime day scent. A fresh take on a tired trope, CS is a great beachy scent that is good-quality, featuring realistic-smelling materials and is lightweight rather than cloying. A lovely addition to an admirable house. 4/5.

Coconut Sun smells like you are sitting at an open-air bar, drinking a margarita on the rocks, and there is a boutique of fresh frangipani on the table in front of you. Sexy in a classy way, and tropical without being juvenile. Coconut Sun is a classic summer scent. It is aquatic and salty with a subtle sweetness. Just keep in mind that this is more of a tropical white floral perfume with coconut in the background, than a true coconut forward scent. This has a clean girl going on vacation vibe. Longevity is 4-5 hours, but the projection and scent trail is stronger than you might realize. I sprayed this in the bathroom and returned 3 hours later and was shocked by how strong this scent was in the air. I did wear this on a cool day, and this was not as special. I think this needs heat and to be worn on skin to really shine. 8/10 Layering Combos: Body Works Dressed in White. This is a salty gardenia. This is beautiful together. It radiates about an arm’s length and leaves a lovely tropical floral silage. Paco Rabanne Olympea. This combo enhances Olympia’s aquatic characteristics and adds some coconut. It performs great in the heat but may be too salty for some. 7 Virtues Clementine Dream. These were made to be layer together. Clementine Dream adds more citruses and freshness. Perfect for summer and a great mood booster on a hot day.

Testing Coconut Sun from a 1.7 ml The 7 Virtues official sample. I love Coconut Sun! To put it simply, this scent profile is all I want to wear during summer months! And I have definitely more than ten perfumes in my collection with a variation of a ylang ylang /coconut/frangipani vanilla/salt that smells almost identical to Coconut Sun... But I still want this, it’s so delicious and exotic and sweet and tropical fruity...It’s mouthwatering delicious! This scent deserves the hype it gets online, let me tell you that... Once and only once I finish one of my current existing bottles in my collection similar to Coconut Sun, will purchase a bottle of Coconut Sun. But I want a bottle of this because it’s calling my name... With certain scent profiles, I am at that stage in my collecting journey where I have the same scent from several brands and I don’t want to add another variation from a different brand until I finish something else existing on my shelves! Beautiful!!! Worth sampling if you’re interested in tropical floral/coconut dominant scents. On the lighter side, but in high heat this it’s more easy to wear than something strong and intense.

This smells really PRETTY, like that scene in MEAN GIRLS, when Regina compliments Cady by telling her she's REALLY pretty. She then replies with a "thank you" in which Regina takes as if she was admitting that she's PRETTY. Well, that scene is this perfume. Smells really pretty, almost innocent. Like when she was herself, before all the lipgloss and cheap perfume that made her smell like a baby prostitute. This perfume has some decency to it. Smells like a good girl, no jealousy, no hate, no projection room above the auditorium. Fresh coconut water, sea salt, sweet vanilla, creamy pistachios and cinnamon. Perfect all year round, unisex, great for hot or cold days, specially spooky season. It has a fresh opening that's amazing.. But my favorite part is as it settles, it fades into creamy pumpkin with caramel and warm milk. Snoopy probably wears this. I just know it. BISOUS

I got a free sample of this from Sephora and wow I was blown away. It is very strong unlike some of their other scents. I am really enjoying totally being able to smell myself all day long big whiffs. It is very tropical. I love the Aliens and this reminds me of them except not as amber like. I might have to get a travel size to try out for a while to see about getting a larger bottle. It does remind me of Alien Goddess but honestly so much better and dare I say actually stronger and more tropical. I can't tell if it's going to be too strong for me long term but I'm a stronger perfume type of girlie so I love a good winner like this. It's refreshing and like a nice tropical drink not faded like suntan lotion definitely more sugary than that.

I liked this more than I expected. It's definitely a beachy coconut scent, but well done. The florals/citruses round out the coconut to give it some complexity and lightness, so it's less 'sunscreen' and more 'summer picnic'. But the real winner is the salt note. This comes out after a couple of hours and really enhances the fragrance. I love salt notes so this might be a personal take, but when you've got the coconut, florals and salt all together, it smells like the end of a great beach day, when you've got sunscreen, sand and salt water sticking to your skin. The longevity is good - this lasts for hours.

A lovely, unserious, summer beach scent. Sweet, coconutty, gentle florals. I sometimes struggle with a salt note, but it's very toned down, here. It's just enough to make it a little sunscreeny, but not cloyingly so. Ageless. I would love Alien Goddess, except that for me there's a sharp "solar" note that makes it hard for me to wear. This one gives me everything I like about AG, without the sharpness. I blind bought this travel spray for a great deal and I was hesitant, but I'm very pleased with it and can't wait to wear it in the hot weather.

My absolute favorite from the 7 virtues. I love coconut but can't stand tuberose in perfume. Instead this one has gorgeous frangipani. This is a quite sophisticated coconut, it isn't overly sweet and isn't a gourmand. Don't love the opening, but it only lasts for 10 minutes. You could easily wear this to work. It has that cozyness from the coconut/vanilla but has a good balance of notes making it never feel overwhelming in any way. Such a nice fresh summery scent without being aquatic. This is exactly what I wanted TF Soleil Blanc to be.

Lovely scent . I get the coconut, citrus and vanilla. When I spray this fragrance I get a strong scent that smells like vanilla and coconut, as it dries down I smell more of the 3 notes that were mentioned in the beginning. I do not get any floral yet this is a great summer scent that reminds me of “At the Beach” BBW but with more extra notes. It is now going on my 6 hour and I can still smell this (more intimate) it is not overpowering. It’s humid outside today and it wears so well during the heat.

In the summer, I want a perfume that makes me feel like I'm sitting in a Tommy Bahama chair on a beach, sipping a pina colada and wearing Sun Bum sunscreen. And Coconut Sun is perfect for that. Perfect blend of coconut, florals, and vanilla. It's not a sunscreen scent, smells like fresh flowers and coconut, not super synthetic. To me, it's not overpowering at all. Bought a travel size to try it out and will definitely be purchasing a full size bottle next summer. Perfect for hot, humid summer days.

Why is this so GOOD?? I have been on the hunt for a summery scent that isn't straight up sunscreen vibes but still fun and light enough for everyday wear. This is it. She's sweet, fresh coconutty summer in a bottle. Unlike TF Soleil Blanc or some of the other massively popular summer fragrances, I don't feel like I need to be on or near the beach to wear this. It reminds me of Arizona Bloom by Floral Street a little and I want to try them both when it gets truly hot out, so I can compare better.

Love Love love. Perfect for those who are looking for a coconut summer scent that DOES not smell like SPF. Like i think many of the other vanilla coconuts do like, Alien Godess or Mancera Coco Vanille. Its sweet from the vanilla. And fresh from the coconut water. However i do not smell so much citrus notes at all, or rose. Though i would say that this is a strictly for summer lol, a real vacation scent. So if you want to smell like coconut but not reek of spf, this is your guy.

Unpopular opinion (maybe): some scents do not have to be complicated to be good, especially when it comes to hot summer days. Can we talk about how this is the perfect balance of easygoing tropical summer scent, performance and price ratio? I seriously cannot fault this one. Is it revolutionary? Maybe not, but when I smell it, it brings me back to island hopping in Thailand. It is not overpowering, it has the right balance of fresh, salty and tropical floral to me.

This fragrance is my babygirl, but she took some time to grow on me. If you don't like white florals, you may not like the dry down on this because the frangipani does come out. Unfortunately like most coconut perfumes, it doesn't last super long, but in my opinion it isn't too expensive where I would have a problem with that. I tend to dislike woody coconut scents, so this being lighter is definitely up my alley. Steer clear if you hate white florals.

So uplifting, bright warm and fresh at the same time. It’s like a feeling you get when you’re taking a shower and there is a smell left from tropical scented body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. The lasting power and sillage is not the best, but people are going to notice it on you. The good thing is that it’s not going to offend anyone and it’s perfect for every day wear, when you just want to smell fresh and clean, without doing too much.

This is just what I was looking for! I needed a new scent for the spring and summer that would really shine in the FL heat. This is a really pretty and realistic coconut scent. I can’t lie I don’t usually go for coconut scents because they can be a bit cloying and synthetic, but this one is light and the salt and florals balance it out. The frangipani and jasmine in this scent adds a nice touch. It’s fresh, floral and breezy.

A coconut scent that balances sweetness and freshness very well. Not sunscreen-like, but smooth and fragrant coconut water with salty vanilla. The frangipani is noticeable but doesn't overpower. I love wearing it, it makes me happy. Went through my 10ml travel spray pretty quickly, looking to buy a big bottle soon. It's on the lighter side in terms of projection and longevity is okay, around 4-5 hours.

This is an absolutely beautiful coconut scent. As much as I like sweeter and fruitier coconuts, this was such a lovely and refreshing surprise. It's clean and watery, with a fresher coconut note as opposed to a sweeter one. It still has a summery, beachy feel, but it's much more toned down and refined than a sweet "sunscreen" coconut perfume. This is so pleasant and rejuvenating for a warm summer day.

This is wonderful! Starts of citrusy but dries down to a sweet coconut vanilla and the coconut is delicious and bright it really projects so nicely. So many designer scents just don’t have the strength that this one has and it’s a clean brand so it’s a win win. I’ve had a small 1ml sample and even just tiny sprays of this and I can really smell this A full bottle is on the way as we speak.

I am not one for florals usually but love the blend with the coconut! Frangipani coconut with sea salt notes woven throughout... heavenly and works together so well, a symphony of notes. Summery, light and sweet, reminders of good memories... love this! Smells absolutely heavenly worn with Kylie Skin Coconut body lotion. Much better than Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc!

Coconut sun! in my skin lasts all day and it takes me to venezuelan beaches in a bright blue day. It has a floral with citruses components that makes me feel happy every time I sniff it. I thought I didn't like coconut perfumes but this sunshine coconut water juice just warms my heart. I bought the travel size! Seriusly thinking to get a full bottle.

For some reason I thought I smelled sandalwood in this. Either way I love it. This is one of my lavorite coconut perfumes now because it's watery, juicy, and truly smells like the flesh of a coconut. Then you have some buttery feminine florals underneath. I wish I picked up the salt accord better because I think that'd be an awesome addition! 8/10

I don’t really get the sun tan lotion that some people find. I love it, I just picked it up as a blind-buy in the Peace Sampler. It smells warm and beachy. I was worried about the coconut being too strong but it’s very pleasant. Up close you get the salty seawater scent but it’s not unpleasant, just adds to the beachy vibes.

I bought the travel size of this one to try out and I am really enjoying it! I usually wear it layered with a perfume oil that's supposed to be a dupe for Soleil Blanc, and I find that it lasts me close to a full day at work. It's a beautiful and soft coconut. Projection is quite intimate, but I don't mind that for this one.

The scent is evocative of a tropical vacation, and it is delicious. You can tell it is made of clean and natural ingredients. It is not groundbreaking formula but pleasant and practical when you are on a tropical vacation or you want to feel like you are on a tropical vacation without actually being there :-))

I love this scent so much I’ve worn it three days in a row. airy coconut with the softest florals. BUT I hate how short it lasts. Fully moisturized I get max 3 hrs longevity on both skin and clothes then I find myself needing to reapply. Sone coconut scents to me smell like cinnamon do other ppl get that too?

LOVE THIS! Such a great beachy, summer scent! It layers well with others - kind of sits in between fresh and sweet. Has the perfect amount of throw and really elevates any outfit into a chic vibe. 10/10 recommend!! ETA: The travel size is now a spray BUT it does leak... a looooot🤬 So buyer beware!

Perfect right now in the July heat. This is my favorite "vacation in a bottle" fragrance; it's like happy creamy blended sunshine. It's very strong but it's not smothering or hypnotic. Coconut Sun has a fresh quality that makes me feel like I am standing on a beach when I close my eyes.

SO DELICIOUS I'm so serious. I literally want to drink it. I fell in love with this last Spring and wanted to buy it for Summer but I was too broke. It's such a perfect salty coconut plumeria vanilla. Not blind buy safe but if you like this kind of scent give it a try

I love this scent so much! It makes me feel like I'm on a warm sandy beach and I'm here for it. I've already worn this out and have gotten so many compliments. It lasts long and layers great with Vanilla Woods, another one of their fragrances that I rave about.

Love this fragrance so much. Fresh coconut accompanied by a citrusy twist in a bed of florals that just hits the spot. Brings to mind the beach and suncream on a hot day. Really big fan of this and a strong contender for a summer fragrance.

Coconut Sun is easily my favorite summer fragrance. It is cooling, but creamy. Not at all sunscreen coded. It lasts forever on my skin despite being light. It creates a beautiful thin and cooling veil that is never heavy or overwhelming.

This perfume feels like a warm blanket but the blanket is the salty sea air on a hot, sandy beach. Whenever I smell it, it reminds me so much of my days at the beach in Spain. It feels and smells like I’m right back there.

Oh my god this is so good, doesn’t go sunscreen on me at all and instead is such a rich, addictive coconut/ frangipani/ vanilla scent. Ended up caving and buying a travel size, I can’t stop smelling my wrist!

I actually love it. Testing a sample and it automatically reminded me of Holidays by Mancera, at least how I wanted Holidays to smell like, to put it shortly this is the 'feminine' version of Holidays.

Nice! Sweet and creamy :) For me it smells super cheerful - like something in between thick and fluffy body care cream and something edible (a coconut sundae with whipped cream))). Lovely stuff!

probably my favorite coconut frag, as it’s more “realistic, nutty” coconut than “suntan oil” or “sugary” coconut. it still has some sweetness just not overpowering!

Didn't like coconuts scents until this perfume and it converted me. So summery in the best way and layers well. I also get compliments without it being too strong.

Will be buying a full size for the summer. This smells like high end sunscreen. It's bright, airy and fresh.

A beautiful summery coconut 🥥 vanilla 😋 Dry down is a citrus vanilla. I really love this.

Pretty, beachy, tropical, bright, citrusy, fresh, sweet, floral, salty, marine, sunny, warm, feminine, sensual, uplifting, cheerful On me this opens beachy, sweet, fresh, and floral with tropical and fresh coconut water, tart and bright citruses, exotic frangipani, lush jasmine, and a salty note that brings a somewhat sea breeze like scent. I don’t really pick up any rose, but I do get a really nice sensual vanilla in the dry down. That’s when I think this scent really starts to shine. I still get the rest of the notes along with the vanilla, but the citruses are less sharp, and the florals are softer which gives it a more balanced and well rounded feel. I’ve always really enjoyed beachy/coconut fragrances, so of course I had to get this one. I have quite a few in my collection, and while I can’t say this is my favorite, it’s definitely still one that I like a lot. The citruses and florals are the most prominent notes on me, especially in the opening, but the coconut and vanilla aren’t far behind them. I definitely prefer the dry down of it a lot more because the citruses are less sharp, the florals are softer, and it’s more balanced and well rounded. I would probably like it more if it was a more coconut forward scent, and little less citrusy and floral. I do get a subtle suntan lotion like scent (I always enjoy that), but it’s soft and pretty, nothing that’s overly prominent (Bobbi Brown Beach is a very suntan lotion like scent if you’re looking for one like that). This feels feminine to me, like it would work for women of any age, and is perfect for spring and summer. I think it works for the majority of occasions including work or school. I get great performance with Coconut Sun. The longevity is really good, it lasts about 6-7 hours before it might need a touch up. The projection is nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. I've been testing this and it has been an interesting experience. First of all, Coconut sun is one that I assumed I'd love because I love this scent profile. The first time I tried this I feel completely in love with the opening. I got mostly frangipani (a fave note) and citrus. It was bright and beautiful and I was excited! But, it disappeared on me almost immediately, I couldn't smell it on my skin at all after that. The second time I tried this, I got no frangipani or citrus at all. It basically turned into a playdoh scent. I could smell the drydown but it was very faint and all I got was a powdery playdoh. I actually kinda like that smell so it wasn't awful but it just lacked depth Ok so I tried it again yesterday. I still get no frangipani, I get mostly salt (which I like) and powdery playdoh. BUT, the deeper drydown was gorgeous. A salty and powdery coconut water with solar notes. It also projected better. So, I'm a little confused about this fragrance. I have a decant of this so I'll keep testing. I likely won't get a full bottle because the performance isn't great. But this is definitely a pretty scent. I recommend trying it if you like these notes.

Sunscreen, tropical, coconut-dominated scents are my jam, so when I saw Coconut Sun and its set of gorgeous, sunny notes–fruity frangipani, coconut water, jasmine, rose, vanilla and salt, I was sold. Coconut Sun is as warm, sweet and pleasant a summer scent as you can get. The combo of lactonic coconut and vanilla is appealing and likable. I can't imagine this fragrance offending anyone, especially not at this price and from such a clean and conscious brand. However, I would hesistate to call this a sunscreen scent. Coconut Sun is more of a gourmand, a milky-sweet salty-vanilla coconut. It smells almost like vanilla ice cream in the dry down. The floral notes fade into the background pretty quickly. The only floral that makes an impression is the frangipani, which adds a slight banana-ish fruitiness, though it's subtle compared to the vanilla. I blame my skin chemistry for this–if there's vanilla in a perfume, my skin brings it forward at the expense of all other notes. So this could be my own fault. Otherwise, Coconut Sun is a pleasant and safe blind buy, especially gourmand lovers in search of something more tropical for daytime.

Coconut Sun is bright, happy, sunny, warm, and beachy! I’m a huge fan of beachy/coconut fragrances and while this is nice it’s definitely not my favorite. There’s coconut, vanilla, citrus, white florals, and a subtle salt note. It does have somewhat of a sun tan lotion like scent as well, but it’s subtle. I can’t quite put my finger on why I don’t like this as much as the others though. I’m thinking that it might be because of the citrus notes... they’re a bit stronger than what I would prefer. It’s definitely not a bad fragrance, but like I said, it’s not my favorite. Some of my favorites which I prefer over Coconut Sun are Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Replica Beach Walk, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Lust For Sun, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Bobbi Brown Beach, and Kate Spade Live Colorfully. As for performance, the longevity is good like most fragrances are on me, it lasts all day. The projection is good too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

One whiff of this and I am transported to a luxurious resort on an island with a beautiful beach...sugar white, soft sand on a sunny day with an ocean breeze. This is a lovely, vacation in a bottle summer scent. Coconut Sun is fresh, uplifting, a tad bit creamy, cool, salty (just the right amount) and tropical. Usually, coconut scents are too sunscreen-y for me but I think because this has coconut water instead of coconut, the freshness and saltiness in this adds something different compared to others. It’s borderline aquatic if you ask me. This is what I was hoping Tom Ford Soleil Blanc would smell like. As someone that’s not crazy about coconut/yellow floral scents to the point I need more than one (maybe two) in my collection, I don’t need or want anything expensive. I think this is a great, reasonably priced option. It’s not beast mode or a big projector but it has moderate longevity. You’ll definitely need to top it off if you need it to last all day.

Coconut Sun is so lovely! This isn't your typical heavy, cheap sunscreen scent. The coconut is much lighter here: slightly aquatic with a soft, nutty, sugared essence. Paired with frangipani, the fragrance has a lush creaminess and a tinge of fruitiness. Meanwhile, jasmine adds a more classic floral touch that smells narcotic and sweet-musky. The citrus never became sour or astringent on my skin; in fact, the notes created a really nice sherbet nuance. A bit of saltiness grounds the sweeter elements beautifully, bringing to mind fresh beach air. The vibe is incredibly bright: truly reminiscent of an island paradise. Once dried down, that coconut becomes a slightly musky, summery vanilla. The florals still linger as well. I found the finish to be very sophisticated and enjoyable. Overall, this is a gorgeous summer fragrance and perfect for a vacation!

I got the sample kit in fall, and this wasn't hitting the cold rainy vibes, leading me to dismiss this one as "not for me". But as the beautiful weather bats its eyelashes, I gave this scent another try and it's clear this girl was built for summer. She's carefree, sunkissed in a yellow floral sundress, flower in her hair, wearing coconut oil to give her skin a sheen. This scent is the lightest of the light. This opens strong with a creamy coconut scent, quickly drying down to lightest powdery floral and buttery vanilla dry down, and after a few hours, past the florals, just a sweet milkiness that I love even more. I thought the scent all but faded after only a few hours, but the lingering skin scent stuck around all day, shifting to some honey notes near the end. I feel like summer is made for lighter scents, this may end up being a summer fave!

Beautiful woody & airy coconut that doesn't smell only of sunscreen. I love the salty and woody notes in this as it helps counter the sweetness of the frangipani. To me, the frangipani takes a back seat to the coconut and the woods. It lends a touch of sweetness, but it doesn't overpower the fragrance. I don't get any citrus or rose with this fragrance, which I don't mind. I love this as a beachy, summery fragrance that isn't overpoweringly sweet/warm like Sunkissed Hibiscus or Soleil Blanc. I heard someone once describe it as Sunkissed Hibiscus' lighter cousin, and I agree. It is very light, but I can still smell it after a few hours, it's just really close to the skin. Perfect for days where you want to feel like you're sitting on the beach enjoying the sunshine and sea breeze, but I wouldn't say this is tropical.
