Eau America

Sweet and creamy with a light breadyness from the pie note that immediately reminded me of Snif’s gourmands, specifically Crumb Couture and Naughty Nonna. It’s very maple heavy and faintly nutty with a hint of apple. Not sure why anyone is saying the strongest note is barbeque because I don’t get that at all. This is a really nice perfume but the maple note does come off quite artificial. Oh Canada has very distinct woody notes that mask the artificial maple, but Eau America is missing that which makes it much more noticeable. Definitely not the fragrance for gourmand haters!!! Has moderate sillage and lasts nearly all day. (Side note: I’ve never smelled any of Tronald Dump’s fragrances but I can guarantee they don’t smell like sweet apple pie...but I guess you don’t have anything better to do with your time than recommend completely irrelevant fragrances in order to make some meaningless statement).

I don't get BBQ, though there is a bit of smokiness to it which goes with the pecan and wood note. I do smell apple pie and it all together reminds me of a warm hug. I also have Oh Canada, and like that one also. I am going to let them both macerate for a couple of months to see if certain notes get stronger and the notes blend more. This is an almost love, but not quite. Hopefully, it will become one. It reminds me of Rose All Dae by Gallagher more than any other scent I own. As for the idjits who think it's cute to try and destroy a company because of the name of a perfume? Grow the heck up! You should have been raised better, or you are a teeny-bopper who needs more supervision. Either way, go find something else to do. I hope the moderators remove all the fake "reminds me of" perfumes. It's just rude, gross and inappropriate, and I expect better from Fragrantica.

See...What had happened was... 7 virtues had a damn good sale, and I got the American and the Canadian inspired fragrances (along with the intended Cherry Ambition and Santille Vanille) I love them both as they do evoke the emotions of a certain time of being American and my visits to Canada. I get the apple pie and the bbq notes, the dry down is a sweet tangy musk. How 7V missed the opportunity of a “gunpowder” note is beyond me. God bless Murica!... I’m amazed how you can be so proud, yet so ashamed at the same time.

I feel like I need to defend this perfume right now.. its actually very lovely. It smells like a hot apple pie , with just a bit of smokiness in the dry down. No, it doesn't smell like bbq or meat, just a touch of smoke/cedarwood giving it depth and preventing it from being too sweet. I got it for the 4th of july, and thought it would be a summer scent but no, this is perfect for the fall! Also, longevity has been good for me.

I own this and I love it. It’s sweet like fresh apple pie and vanilla. It’s also considered a clean fragrance.

I had Oh Canada (should be Eh Canada, and I can joke about that-- I'm a Michigan Yooper) on my radar, and I totally fell for the sale of that and this for 25% off. I can't wait. Blind buys. Listen, I hate the horror show of 2025 too (I'm terrified LBR). Which is why I need perfume. Funky wonky gourmands make me happy. Bad timing on the name, sure- but I can't wait to sniff this. (and gdamn it- I bought that new Buttercream Haze too- OMG!) Now the scent- I LOVE THIS! OMG! I prob would get obsessed with backups if it were stronger. I had about 3-4 hours of bliss. Appie pie (crust too) with a smoked applewood. Amazing. I like it better than Canada. Freshly shipped- it hope settling helps the sillage/longevity. Once it dried down, it got a little boozy/bourbon/whiskey- and it had a masculine leaning drydown- just a BIT. Prob bc the sillage was down to 20% by then.

Take my money!! LOL, if it comes to Australia, I will definitely test this one!
