Full Rose

I just saw a video where they are sampling this line at a Body Shop store, probably when they were first launched, and there's a card with more detailed notes: TOP: Clementine, black pepper, cardamom HEART: Geranium leaf, rose absolute, mint BASE: Vetiver and coffee My dad got me Full Iris a couple of months ago (I love it!), and after that I kept stopping at the shop just to smell Full Rose again and again, so I finally bought it... It has good longevity too. Once I put a sample paper in my bag, and the smell lingered on all my stuff for a week...

It is a rose perfume but not Chloe Naturelle or Chloe de Roses type but rather Lush, Elizabeth&James or someting like that - it is spcy-aromatic almost musky. I dont know what it is but it reminds me of some scent from my childhood. And I cant figure out what exactly. Because of this uncanny familiarity I think I will buy it. Though, it is not a summer scent, way too musky and strong for heat but it would be great for autumn. I love that it is a clean perfume as I try to avoid weird things in my cosmetics lately.

Great scent. Beautiful Grasse rose opening and drys down to a coffee base. Coffee isn’t listed as a note here, but the promotional booklet from the store listed coffee as the base. Imagine a very light version of Montale Cafe Intense. This is smooth and long lasting for sure Update: this is incredible. The longevity is insane. Some days I get the coffee sophisticated grasse rose, some does the fruitiness of the rose really comes throu almost like Mugler Nova.

I really love this skin scent, it’s very natural and smells exactly like a real pink rose with the green stem that’s covered in rain water. It basically smells like a soft, slightly sweet and green, rainy rose, and I love it, super natural and not synthetic smelling at all, which I would expect from the body shop anyway, but I’m just surprised how real of a rainy rose it smells like! : )

Beautiful rose scent. Clearly strong rose with a hint of sweetness. It smells a little like Delina and I was surprised because I didn't hear of body shop perfumes before, or that they are dupes for another perfume. They have other dupes too.

I do love the fresh green natural rose scent of Full Rose. It has an earthy spicy quality which is really lovely. This is great for me as I sometimes react to other designer perfumes. Definitely going to be a good work everyday perfume.

Smells so much like rose, green, floral, and fresh, long lasting even if close to the skin. The type of simple rose scent that I’m looking for, nothing too complex, just rose. Love it, might need to try a bit more in few weeks.

This smells nice and luxury. The rose is like the one used in Frederick Malle POAL.

Full Rose is a green and spicy rose fragrance with geranium at the forefront. Unfortunately, I do not get any cardamom, but a lot of musk instead. Thanks to the musky freshness / sharpness, the longevity on my clothes is excellent and I can smell the fragrance even the next day. The scent develops in a linear fashion and what you spray is pretty much also what you get in the drydown. All in all, this is a refreshing rose fragrance that does not get too sweet or sticky during warmer days.

Full Rose is like if you poured Lush Rose Jam into a pot of boiling water and held your head over it. Reminds me of drinking hot watery honey tea when I’m ill. It has this suffocating warmth for me, very tea-like. But don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely just not for me. I can see this fitting any black-cat archetype; it’s almost gothic. Very intriguing, I do think I’d like to sit with this more and see where it takes me.

As much as I like roses, I feel completely indifferent about this fragrance. It's roses and geranium, but that's about it. No middle notes, no base notes... nothing. I get it that it's supposed to be simple, and I do like simple things a lot of times, but they have to be able to grasp my attention from beginning to end. This fragrance doesn't quite manage to do that, despite rose being one of my favourite notes of them all. If you want simply roses and geranium, this might be for you. That said, I've smelt many nicer rose fragrances, even at this price point. Elizabeth Arden White Tea Wild Rose is a very nice one that immediately comes to mind.

I tried this at The Body Shop today in my search for a Stella dupe. This is a spicy, green rose - not the kind that I like to wear personally (I prefer the sweeter, jammier types). Once it settles, it reminds me of Belenciaga’s Florabotanica. My boyfriend said the opening smelled like DEET lol. Longevity and strength is quite good - hours after spraying, I could smell it quite strongly off my wrist. Wishing The Body Shop brought back their old rose scents which had a sweeter undertone (like Moroccan Rose) - I would buy it in a heartbeat.

At first spritz, this was too green for me. Later as the cashier was ringing up my order for other items, I sniffed my wrist again. The drydown is wonderful, a true rose, with depth and warmth! I went back and grabbed a bottle. To my nose this is much better than the Body Shop's other rose fragrances I've tried, British Rose (blah) and Rebel Rosebud (unbearably peppery). Longevity is also pretty good for a rose soliflore.

On me it has a very strong cardamon smell, it's green and sharp. It reminds me of palmarosa/geranium essential oil, with some spice/aromatics and a touch powder. Not for me.

Floral aftershave- type scent. If you like gourmand florals, this isn't for you. (Certainly not if I take myself as a point of reference.) I could see someone who enjoys more aquatic fragrances enjoying this. Something in the notes reminds me of masculine-marketed colognes- Aqua di Gio. Which I don't enjoy, but we all have our preferences considering that still sells.

starting off i smell rose and a bit of peony. this is a fresh green rose. there is also a lot of geranium here which adds an herbalness. it's kind of peppery too. there is something else in here i can't place. the reviewer below mentioned musk, so maybe that's it. i find this one to be a bit underwhelming. watery, peppery musky rose with greenery.

I HATE that rose perfumes often contain geranium. However, it is a good realistic green rose fragrance. Lasts fairly well. The drydown differs from the opening a lot, just not for me.

Sharp and musky. Not very fresh or fruity. Dissappointed, thought it would be more like British Rose. A bitter undernote and geranium.

This is my fourth and final review of the scents from The Body Shop Full Flower collection. Overall I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised - all four scents are very well made, sufficiently interesting (if not groundbreaking), they last a fair bit, and at least two of them are truly unisex (Orange Blossom and Iris). The other two (Rose and Ylang Ylang) lean more feminine, but this is an entirely subjective impression and everyone is allowed to wear whatever they like. As to Full Rose, the list of notes above is fairly accurate. Here we have a realistic smell of fresh rose in full bloom, sprinkled with morning dew, amplified by its garden neighbour geranium, and lightly spiced (aside from cardamom, there's some pepper, mint, and other herbs). So, this rose is neither sweet nor powdery, but 'green' and aromatic. I see that other reviewers have added Diptyque Eau Rose, Byredo Rose of No Man's Land and other perfumes in the 'reminds me of' section; but what I am actually reminded of is Balenciaga Florabotanica! Although Full Rose and Florabotanica are not identical, they share the same concept (fresh minty rose) and create a similar olfactory experience. The difference is that Florabotanica is stronger and much more spicy/herbal/aromatic; although it was advertised as a fragrance aimed at younger consumers, to me there was never anything kiddie-friendly about Florabotanica - it has always been a very grown-up and nonconformist rose. So, if you were intrigued by Florabotanica, but put off by its nuclear strength and 'greenness', then Full Rose might be what you're looking for.

Uplifting and fresh. Not too sweet. A classic tea-rose scent. White or light-pink petals sit atop stems snipped from the branch that morning. There is fresh water in the vase. The geranium note must be from rose-geranium. An incredible smelling plant - leaves, stems and roots brimming with rose-scented oil. I smell the stems of my rose-geranium when I trim her back with secateurs. I smell the fresh rain on that plant. It makes the whole garden smell heavenly. When I try to bring rose-geranium into the house, the scent never lasts quite as well in a vase. But now I have her in a bottle. Cardamom adds a light spice. Layer with British rose hand cream (also Body Shop) if you want to smell the fresh cut tea-rose in the florist's bucket.

I've been wearing this a lot lately as the weather is getting warmer and summer is approaching. Such a refreshing, pretty rose. Like an intense version of rose water. Interesting enough for a perfume but never overbearing on a hot day. The spicy geranium flower completes the rose perfectly. Natural and full bodied. Not a gourmand. No vanilla. This is a floral with a soft spicy edge. Grew on me from like to love.

It smelled amazing on the blotter and first couple of times that I used it. But shortly I stopped smelling the rose, and only berries more like cranberries took the lead. This causes me feel anxiety, please try multiple time before you buy it.

Too sharp for me but average smelling also not too much to say... boring 3/10
