White Musk Lover

This is definitely Glossier "You"-adjacent. Spicy, clean, soft, fresh and unlike "You": a hint of rose. This is a hug in a bottle. I consider this part of my arsenal on days I want the "You" vibe but different: Le Monde Gourmand's "Fleur de Blonde" (leans pear), Bath and Body Works "If You Musk" (leans iris) or "Kaleidoscope" (a little deeper and more unisex than "If You Musk", unfortunately both are discontinued 😭). Dirty Soul Soap Co. makes a nice "Kaleidoscope" dupe that's decent called "Prism", it's worth checking out for $20-something on Amazon. I also love layering any and all of these (including the original Glossier "You") with a few strategic spritzes of Juliette Has a Gun's "Not a Perfume Superdose" if I want extra staying power and projection oomph.

This is such a beautiful, soft and feminine scent. Perfect for everyday. I believe this is designed to be layered with other body shop fragrances, but I purchased it to wear by itself and love it! I ADORE musk scents, and this one is so well done. I am quite sensitive to scents, but this one is so gentle and not super strong which I like! I like to spray this on my clothing to make the smell a little more prominent. To me, this scent is the perfect combination of floral + musk, without being too over the top or sweet. It's a very refreshing, clean scent and very affordable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a unique, soft musky scent!

this is amazing. it reminds me the DNA in Fleur de peau by diptyque, this is not a perfume by juliette has as gun and glossier you. if you're looking for a soft, but present ambrette/musk scent this is for you. this is meant to be a fragrance topper, so on me I find that it lasts a fairly long time. when I spray it on clothes, it lasts for over 3 days. it's amazing. super clean, super soft and super delicate. very feminine, but I'd love to smell it on a man too.

I know this is supposed to be a fragrance topper, but I LOVE it as is. I just wish it was stronger! It is a skin scent on me with barely any longevity to speak of, which makes me sad as I have fallen in love with it. I think the Body Shop needs to work on the aesthetics of their perfume bottles, however. Packaging is so important to me. I still buy Lover due to how pretty it is, but if it wasn't so nice, I would be repelled by the awfulness of the bottle.

This is virtually identical to Glossier You. It is pretty heavy on ambroxan, so something to keep in mind if you are bothered with that note. Really lovely, and lasts pretty long, much longer than Radical from the same collection.

If bright crystal from Versace and Chloe Eau de parfum Chloe had a baby it's exactly this! needless to say I love this, If you love musky fresh citrus florals this is for you. :)

The Body Shop’s White Musk Lover was my introduction to the brand and their iconic White Musk collection, and I loved it! White Musk Lover was my bedtime scent, and despite the bottle being relatively small (15ml), it lasted for just over two months, and I found the smell quite comforting when drifting off to sleep. In the opening, there is that signature musk scent that is present across the White Musk collection, but it features more as a background character that has been carefully situated to capture the attention of the classic White Musk lovers, yet not present enough to scare off anywho for found the original version to be too strong. To my nose, there are not any similarities to the opening of Chloe EDP or Glossier You; however, once each of the fragrances has wholly dried down, they all share a similar soft, musky base that feels more comforting than animalic or sensual. For me, Lover smells like a mixture of White Musk with a bit of Parfums de Marley’s Delina La Rosee or Ouai’s Melrose Place; think watery pink and white florals. Overall, I feel like The Body Shop’s White Musk Lover is an excellent addition to the White Musk Range, and it is a gorgeous perfume for anyone who wants something that has that “your skin but better” quality with a burst for a chic shampoo scent!

This is a very easy wear and I like it for nighttime or when I want a clean musk scent. its my favourite from the other 3 musks in this collection It has a bit of sweetness and cleanliness to it. After smelling Glossier You, I can confirm this does smell very similar. Its a good price but I cant smell it on myself after 20 mins, it does stick better on clothes though, but just has poor lasting power?

Tested this at TBS today. I own Glossier You and find this virtually identical. White Musk Lover actually has a little better longevity than You and is significantly less expensive to purchase. Glossier You was only available to purchase online & I had to blind buy it. I hope this helps someone else who is tempted to blind buy it. Don't bother, just pick this up at your local TBS. This is a very clean scent. Like shampoo or laundry detergent. The only aspect of the scent that I don't like is that it is really heavy on the alcohol. More like a body spray than an eau de parfum or eau de toilette. For that reason it's really inoffensive and easy to wear on the job, or anywhere where strong fragrances would cause a problem.

For me it smells as a very nice pen ink ahahha (I adore that smell). It's soft spicy and musky, kinda reminds me of Fleur de Peau, but without that warmth and aldehydes. I also sneeze more when I'm wearing it, but it may be a coincidence ahhaha No matter how I smell it it doesn't remind me of Another 13 at all.

What a wonderful surprise! Smells nothing like the OG (which I also love), it’s more of a clean yet spicy floral. I normally don’t enjoy pink pepper as it’s so overpowering, but this gets the balance just right. A hint of warmth. Quite a unique scent. It’s been discontinued so I’d better stock up!

I can see how it's similar to Glossier You, but it smells cheaper (which it is!) and is missing a lot of the warm cosiness of You. Ok for the price, I'll try layering it over a Body Shop musk and see if it becomes more like You.

It felt like I was at the infirmary waiting for my mom to pick me up because I got injured in PE. It’s soooo medicine like, it really smells like I am disinfecting the whole room with a really chemical product. I don’t think it is awful I REALLY don’t think it’s good. It’s not sickening but I really dislike this « clean » disinfected hospital / infirmary scent. It’s not something I would wear AT ALL This is why it ended up in my toilets as an air freshener. 2/10

Very Chloe, but too screechy and one-note for me. Sometimes I like screechy, but only if it's more interesting than this. Catches in my throat.

I can see why others find this similar to Glossier You. However this is heavy on Ambrox and Glossier is heavy on pink pepper. The pink pepper in this is almost non existent. It smells cheap (because it is) glossier - you get a bit more when you take a whiff. Sillage on this, again is not noticeable however when you apply glossier it’s likely to attract a little bit more attention. (It’s the concentration.) This sits very closely to the skin. Too much might be a bit of a headache as it gets overwhelming (personally) after a bit. Doesn’t last very long at all. After 10 mins it’s not even there anymore. Lovely cheap alternative to Glossier but I still prefer the real deal. Nice take though Body Shop.

I’m sorry but I hate this. I usually love pink pepper In my fragrances but in this it goes a bit dark. I get no soft musk out of this at all I think it’s pretty harsh, it smells like Egyptian musk with a bunch of pepper and something else. I find it to be unpleasant I was looking for a more softer, and cleaner musk this is not it for me and it smells NOTHING like glossier you not even a little.

I wore it yesterday layered with the body shop white musk edp and two different taxi driver (one in the afternoon and one at night) roll their car window open as soon as I entered the car. I think I oversprayed it and suffocate people around me. My boyfriend likes it but I don't. It's a little bit too much.
