Osmanthus in A Major

I ordered sample set from The Cologne House. In this fragrance, Osmanthus in A Major, osmanthus was up front but balanced by a musky undertone. I received compliments whenever I wore it. After some time I ordered this fragrance in the full size bottle. What I received is quite different from the sample. It is a more harsh, weaker fragrance that I have difficulty relating to the sample I received.

Update: I was contacted by The Cologne House. The creative director/production manager explained that the fragrance would undergo maceration and after a couple of weeks of use it would be identical to the sample. I will post when/if this happens.

Update #2: I have had this fragrance for two months. Rather than being harsh as when I first received the bottle the fragrance has come together, softened, and is now much closer to the sample that I liked.

I got the discovery set from The Cologne House Perfumes. My overall impression: I could clearly sense that all their offerings are made with high quality ingredients, there is a uniqueness to their compositions that I'm finding it hard to find 'a remind me of' and lastly, their general concept brings to my mind the 'Guerlain Aqua Allegoria' line or the 'Joe Malone' offerings but without the weak performance, they do perform pretty well, some more than the others. This one and Osmanthus & Tea were instant love for me, I'm really fancying the Osmanthus in both :) It opens up slightly tangy, I'm guessing the Pineapple, along with the florals, the most prominent note is the Osmanthus and it stays the whole lifetime of the perfume although it is listed as an opening note. Midway I can sense more the Tuberose and in the drydown just a bit of Musk and a slight woodiness. The star of the show here is the Osmanthus, it has a green freshness, naturally fruity and sweet. It's happy and sunny and I also find it to be very soothing somehow, similar to the Chamomile effect on some people. I really like how this perfume highlights the Osmanthus beautifully, the other notes support but do not overshadow. The longevity is really good for a floral, I can still detect it on skin before the next shower, that's 24 hours. And although it has freshness, it's not explicitly a summer scent, I'd wear this all year round. I think it's unisex leaning feminine, but it would work for anyone who appreciates Osmanthus.
