Aurore Nomade

I received this yesterday and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.. On first spritz yesterday I literally recoiled in disgust. I was hit by an intense smell of baby puke and baby wipes mix. It was extremely off putting, but I eventually realised that it was probably not this scent alone. I was testing Jais on another spot on the same arm and as that’sa very weird and intense fragrance I’m guessing it impacted how I experienced that forest sniff. (But lord, was that gross!) Anyway once it dried down bit I found myself constantly sniffing my hand. After the first banana scent it gets kinda spicy and naughty sweet. I felt a strong desire to layer it with mitsouko for some reason, which is odd cause I’ve never layered mitsouko before and it’s not a scent I’d think of layering as it’s so unique and perfect. But there was something that I can’t pinpoint that connects the two in my mind. Sadly I find this scent to fade very quickly. After 2 hours it’s very faint and after 4 hours it’s gone if it’s not reapplied, which I think shouldn’t happen with scents at this price point. After reapplying I got the full banana scent without gross baby puke distractions and it’s glorious. It is truly 100% fresh banana. This scent is very summery and fresh, there’s an aquatic note that keeps popping up and fading and I would describe it as a skin scent. I don’t mind that it doesn’t have great silage though. This scent is most suitable for a hot summer day at the beach and that’s a situation where I’d like my fragrance to be subtle and smell like sun warmed banana sea skin. There’s some spicy element to it to that keeps me intrigued. I will probably need to test it in summer to fully appreciate it, cause the aquatic notes felt a bit too aquatic in the midst of winter. Since the urge to layer with mitsouko didn’t leave me I decided to try it out today and I’m in love. Combining the two fragrances turned mitsouko’s mossy autumn atmosphere into more of an august/September harvest scent. There’s ripe smell of fruit (bananas obviously), and a fresh sea breeze but it’s layered with the first signs of fall in a forest. It lightens up mitsouko and makes it less melancholic and in turn mitsouko gives the weight that Aurore Nomade needs (in the colder seasons) and balances it out. The two dance together. Now I smell a whiff of mitsouko, then the lightness of aurore overtakes again. It’s absolutely amazing! I’m sure this won’t work for everyone, but it’s absolutely worth a try if you own both fragrances. I will wear this combo when I want to wear mitsouko in summer but feel like it’s too autumny, or when I want to wear aurore in the colder months. Or just when I don’t feel confident enough to go full mitsouko, cause it does make mitsouko more.. approachable with the added sweetness and lightness. I won’t do it often though because mitsouko is just sheer perfection as is 😇

This is such a silly but lovey exotic unique beauty! It makes me smile every time I stick my nose in it...If you wear it in a tropical location, you d rather not be able to NOT love it!! It s a beauty that has to be discovered, explored to adore it. First time, a rainy day in my bic city, I thought: Uääääh...what is this??? Kind of bananacocktail getting mixed up with some minty alcohol to make it less sweet... no way. I disliked it this very minute...but... I wanted to give the strange smell a second chance, take it to a beach on the Maldives...and wore it every day feeling more excited by it...the coconut banana feeling , the tiare, the green tanginess of it, the oceanic smell, all came out at its best... so I started to love it wondering if it were only for the hot , humid days.. but back home, some months later...tested it again; and kawummm, the same summer gorgeous beach feeling came back in an instant flash!! Now I got even melon and some flowers like Jasmine and Ylang , its weirdness came back a little but with all the great summer memories, I could even adore it in the middle of autumn.. so for its utter uniqueness in the perfume market I give it a straigth big ten!! some days I like it a lot, some I adore it and other days I m in love with its silly beauty! Never ever would sell it..wear it on special occasions now and then.. Try it at different places and make sure you ll try it in a hot tropical surrounding!:=)

Immediately reveals its freshness, with notes of banana combined with white rum, and aquatic notes .. it is something really special and unique opening! I never heard anything like this ... I was immediately impressed, and immediately gave the curiosity to find out .. The first 5-10 minutes are like a sunrise in the morning .. a gentle breeze touches you, read notes that caress you, you carry slightly ... making you dream, love ... this fragrance is unique .. carries your soul, and fills it with love and joy! complex parfume, which evolves slowly ... Suitable for the summer. I need a few days to assimilate it for good because it is complex .. but as a first impression is not bad .. differs a lot .. and is a quality perfume definitely !! I think this is totally miscategorized as oriental woody. I would put it in the green-floral category. It's a traditional green perfume with a tropical twist. I guess that's what makes it "different". Instead of a Western forest, I am reminded of the giant green foliage and tropical flowers of the Philippine jungle. It opens with tangy, bitter, very green artemesia. I smell banana nectar and blooming ylang ylang. The base seems to have a slightly grassy sweetness to it. I can also smell a hint of spice, though it is smartly subtle and never overpowers the intense scent of tropical foliage. Can there be such a thing as a sexy green perfume? This would be the first one I've ever come across. I think this perfume is absolutely stunning, and such an unusual green floral.

Heavens! I think Ive found my perfect fruity gourmand. There is plenty of fruit with a bit of alcohol balanced with artemisia, spices and wood notes. I immediately get the smell of fresh banana skin. Its in no shape or form heavy and cloying. Yes, there is some sweetness with the fruit but otherwise its bright, almost tangy and a bit different. I can see both sexes pulling this off. The star fruit and artemisia take this fragrance into the category of exceptional. They impart a dry, almost tart quality that works so well with the other potentially heavy notes like banana and ylang. Id happily wear this in warm weather and not worry that I could overwhelm those around me with a sickly fruity overload. Moderate sillage and longevity.

Aurore Nomade is a complex, sweetish gourmand fragrance with exotic notes. Aurore Nomade reminds me of Givenchy Insense, which is a very beautiful floral perfume for men. Aurore Nomade has a very noticeable note of banana. It ́s super concentrated, lasts for 2 days with 2 sprays on me. Shower may not help. The sillage is also very bright. 1 spray is room filling. The fragrance itself is more on the feminine side, but it can be worn by man. The banana is surrounded by fresh notes and an amber-sandal-vanilla combination. Edit: The whole COLLECTION EXCESSIVE was reformulated. Seems that they wanted to drop the market price and watered down all fragrances. Be aware.

EN It seems like I'm the first (at least in Italy) to buy it. In its opening the perfume seems pretty fresh, but then develops into a mixture of odors and indescribable feelings: love, sex, shyness and passion. At its olfactory development it feels to be a tale of love that begins on a cool sunny morning and never ends. IT Mi sembra di essere il primo (almeno in Italia) ad acquistarlo. L'apertura del profumo sembra piuttosto fresca, ma poi si sviluppa in un misto degli odori e sensazioni indescrivibili: amore, sesso, timidezza e passione. Al suo sviluppo olfattivo sembra una favola d'amore che inizia in una fresca mattina di sole e non finisce mai.

I would categorize it as a jungle scent. Wild fruits and plants.

I've never smelled a frag like this before and even though I'm undecided whether I'd buy a full bottle or not... I'm still in awe! The totality of those listed notes is lost on me lol 1st squirt is a powerful blast of salt water, fruity yellow florals and above all, fresh banana slices and orange flesh. Banana is so realistic it's kind of disconcerting - especially when you've experienced meh bananas in perfumes until now. Moreover, I did forget ylang and frangipani were backing banana up (albeit discreetly), since their inherent banana leaves notes remain floral and delicate. Rather than fat and swampy, the way I enjoy them most actually. The pinch of bitter nutmeg and immortelle on dry down seem to make up for my missing lush banana leaves. Also, I mistook carambola for squeezed oranges that have been forgotten on the kitchen counter for a few hours. That certainly is the reason behind my mixed feelings about that perfume: I'm not crazy about carambola, nor am I about spoiled orange juice. To me, carambola's taste and texture are as acidic and fibrous as Granny Smith apples. The only thought of biting that stuff makes my gums feel ice-burnt, bbbrrrrr While its starchy consistency reminds me of Golden Delicious', another apple I cannot stomach for tasting bland and feeling grainy. Nevertheless, I'm growing fond of Aurore Nomade because it's such a singular and assertive frag: uncanny banana and orange duet sounds very loud, while longevity is a beast.

Semi-sweet banana, rum and a hint of coconut last just a few seconds before salty seawater and hints of watery, zingy tropical fruits sweep in along with creamy white florals. Complex is an understatement and, at first, it could benefit from more focus. As the minutes pass the marine note fades and the whole comes together into a fresh, fruity tropical scent with lots of creamy banana pulp, sweet rum and white florals. Tropical fruit and a bit of salty marine water linger in the background lending balance to the boozy banana's sweetness. Something sharp, spicy and pungent catches my attention, it's distracting and a bit unwelcome, possibly the clove. Musk and strong spice become prominent heading into the dry down as the fruit and booze fade away. I'm not sure what to think about this one yet, possibly a great scent for having a few drinks on the beach. Yet, it's like the perfumer tried to hard to have this be a 'kitchen sink' tropical scent that has a little bit of everything; it needs focus, less ingredients would be more, especially less or no clove. I plan to wear it a few times before making up my mind because the opening is just so amazing and different form anything else, though it does remind me of the body shop's banana conditioner!

My first impression of Aurore Nomade was: Melon, Jasmine and green grapes. A wonderful bright, lively fruit cocktail. Then it becomes sweeter and slightly heavy, probably because of the combination of the banana and rum. I have to say, I prefer the refreshing opening than this strange 'banana liquor' thing, although it's impressive to see how a light and fruity scent transforms itself into something sweeter and heavier. After that the unmistakable musk makes its entrance and it becomes less original,now I can detect some marine notes. Now I like it even less than before. It smells strange, too artificial. It quickly settles down and becomes a quiet, shy scent, close to skin. The way Aurore Nomade develops reminded me of Batucada, they are both tropical scents and they have an arsenal of ingredients, so many things happen and so fast that in the end you are left scratching your head thinking: What just happened? The opening is a delight and the dry down too. I'm not crazy about the middle part, but I still like it, for sure this is a fragrance that will surprise you.

Very interesting. Although there is slight marine playing on, which normally wouldn’t attract me, it is all over fruity and sweet in a very mature way. Not the kind of fruity you wear when you are 16, but super super mature. So in the first 10 minutes on my skin I had high hopes this would finally become the summer scent I’ve been looking for. And then it turns masculine. Ohhh no, why????? I can pull off masculine, even some men’s fragrances and I kinda like it, but I did not want this one to become male-like. And it is, very very much. And not even the kind I would love on my boyfriend, just old fashioned cologne. If smelling my skin alone without ever smelling the bottle this is a men’s cologne from the 70s. And then it softens. I get some fruit back, some old man behind. I get some female back. I love how it’s playing me. I’m intrigued.I guess I’d wear this on special days, when I want to feel a certain way. Very definitely not an everyday perfume. Man I love perfume.

Bananas, rum, trashcan, cloves, icecream, fruity vapes etc. Me no care, love it! Masterpiece!!!!

"Dancers in Green" by Edgar Degas 1878

This was a disappointment for me. I have been hunting for a banana scent for ages, and the notes listed sounded like they had the potential to create magic. Sadly, the banana here is so faint, and what little is there is overwhelmed by the floral and aquatic notes. The dry down is nice - creamy, slightly spicy, a little soapy - but it barely lasts a few hours on my skin. For the price, I can't justify it.

I spotted TDC in an unexpected place, and tried all seven bottles they had, and this made the best first impression. For the first five minutes, it was literally heavenly. Fresh, vibrant, slightly spicy but not too strong, delicious but not too heavy. But when I wore it on my skin, that fresh delight which made this one so extraordinary just vanished. What's worse, by the time I was heading back home, my wrist was reeking of stale tobacco. Not that of nicely done tonka or amber fragrances, but of a sofa that had spent its entire life in a smoking room which has never been cleaned or ventilated.

I liked on the sheet, there was a sheet with the perfume already sprayed in the shop, there for a quick test. But when I've tested it on me: BABOON! Really the smell of a cage of baboons. That's funny because now I learn there's banana as note in the composition. But I don't smell any banana, I do smell a Pure Zoo. After an hour, finally is appeared the green fresh aromatic salty sugary complex fragrance of the sheet. But too late, after an half hour the perfume was gone in sillage and longevity.

I get a really lovely tangy star fruit and banana opening, which changes to more of a banana/ylang and then a full blown yellow tropcal floral with ylang and tiare. Unfortunately this is also accompanied by a synthetic smelling salty oceanic ozonic scent that gives me an instant headache and feels like tiny knives jabbing my brain (probably what is also used in Olympic Orchids Kingston Ferry). Such a shame, I was really wanting to like this one and the fruit/floral part is lovely.

It's the most disgusting perfume I ever smelled in my life. It makes me so sick. I wanted to wait and see how it develops, but I feel it all way from a small spot on my wrist and it makes me want to vomit. I'm going to the bathroom to do whatever it takes to remove all traces of that smell from my skin. Am I too sensitive to indoles (yes indeed usually I'm not a lover of jasmine and so on so either my skin), or there are just so many indoles in that pretty bottle?

Sorry, this one is just a overripe banana forgotten on a kitchen table for a week or so. Molded. Stinky. Nothing tropical, just a pungeant smell of garbage I forgot to waste. I'm truly sorry for my harsh opinion, but I found nothing to be liked it this.

It's first of all aquatic to me, and quite flat - I don't feel any fruits or spices. I would call it quite ordinary and nothing special, expected a bit more from my favorite Bertrand D.

Hands down, the worst smelling fragrance I've ever encountered.

هیچ وقت فکر نمی کردم که بتونم با عطری که رایحه ی موز و اون بوی شیرین و پودری سینتیکش رو برجسته کرده؛ کنار بیام.اما داستانی که در طول یه روز با آرورا نوماد داشتم؛ یه چالش لذتبخش، ساده و پر از هیجان بود که باعث شد این عطر به لیست کارای تابستونی محبوبم اضافه شه. آرورا نوماد یه کار دیفرنت کمپانیایی ناب هست که المانهایی از عطرای مختلف این خونه رو در خودش داره؛ولی با ظرافت و بسیار استادانه با هم میکسشون کرده و در فضایی تازه و پر از نور ارائشون میکنه. تازگی و دلچسبی این فضا اما اینبار توسط نتی بدست اومده که همیشه از عطری با بوی غالب اون فرار کردم: موز! رایحه ی موز چه در مواد شوینده، چه در مواد غذایی و چه در عطر ها برام یه حس مصنوعی ناخوشایند ایجاد کرده که همواره از اون دوری کردم؛ اما اینجا خیلی جذاب هست برام و با هنرمندی دوشافو برام به رایحه ی قابل قبول تبدیل شده! آرورا نوماد در فضایی پر از نور و آکنده از عطر میوه های شیرین و آبدار باز میشه. یه عطر خوشمزه و گوارا، تازه و خوش مشرب، میوه ای و کمی سبز که سبزی اون خیلی زود جای خودش رو به حاشیه ای اسپایسی-خاکی میده. این فضای اسپایسی-خاکی به مرور به قدرت دوم کار تبدیل میشه و خنکای میوه ای شیرین رو بخوبی کنترل میکنه. با اضافه شدن بوی کثیف و انیمالیک کاملا با کیفیتی؛ عطر چهره ی جدی و مصمم خودش رو از پس خنده های سرمستانه ی خوشمزش نشون میده. فضای چرکین انیمالیک که با ظرافت خاصی به وجه اسپاسی کار اضافه میشه در کنار هم یه عمق با شکوه و رسمی به شیرینی شنگول و شیطون آغازین میدن و بدین ترتیب آرورا نوماد، درونمایه و اساس خودش رو بر کنتراست عالی و فوق العاده ی بین جبهه ی شیرین و تازه ی میوه ای و کمی پودری با وجه انیمالیک و اسپایسی خاکی؛ مستقر میکنه و تا ساعتها عطر در همین فضا سِیر میکنه. گاهی آبدار و خوشمزه میشه و گاهی فکال و حیوانی. گاهی خنک و شفاف میشه و گاهی خاکی و کمی تند و باز هم انیمالیک. این روند با ورود نت دریایی فِرِش و پر لطافت که همزمان با ورودش، حیوانیت پس زمینه هم قدرت می گیره؛ پیچیدگی واضح و جذابیت بیشتری به خودش می گیره. با کمرنگ شدن تم میوه ای و تازه و خاکی تر شدن وجه اسپایسی-انیمالیک؛ در نهایت عطر به پایه ای از مشک تمیز و صندل ترد و کمی خشک میرسه که همچنان خیالی از کنتراست میوه ای شاداب با فضای اسپایسی چرکین رو در خودش داره. دیفرنت کمپانی از اون خونه هاست که اغلب رفرنسای اون قابل قبول و دوست داشتنی هستن و عمدتا ارائه گر روایحی درخشان و تازه هستن که بغیر از چند مورد کم تعداد، بیشترشون از ماندگاری و پخش پایینی برخوردارن. اما آرورا نوماد یکی از کارای تازه و خنک این خونست که موندگاری خیلی خوب و پخش قابل قبولی داره. حدود 9 ساعت از اجرای ظریف و دلچسبش رو پوستم لذت بردم که از پخش قابل قبولی برخورداره. حتی اگر چنین موندگاری و پخش بالایی نداشت؛ بازم این کار رو انتخاب می کردم. اونم بخاطر رایحه ی ساده اما بسیار با کیفیتی که داره. لایه سطحی اون یه فضای میوه ای شاداب و خوش طعمه که به تم آکواتیک خنک و تازه ای میرسه که کاملا آشنا و معمولیه؛ اما در لایه های زیرین اون داستان جور دیگه ایه! فضای اسپایسی خشک و با پرستیژی که بوی چرکین و فکال کاملا طبیعی بهش پیوند میخوره تا شخصیت پیچیده و خاصی به این عطر بدن. یه عطر خنک و شاداب که عمیق و با ابهته؛ غنی و پیچیدست اما واضح و گیراست و چالش هیجان انگیزی رو ارائه میکنه. آرورا نوماد یکی از اون آثاریه که دیفرنت کمپانی بخاطر اون شایسته ی دیفرنت کمپانی بودن هست و علاوه بر این، یکی از اون عطراست که بخاطرش دوشافو؛ لایق دوشافو بودنه! کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

Opens with a huge, enveloping blast of white florals and tropical smells. Suntan lotion; big, waxy, dense flower petals; pulpy tropical fruits; coconut. Much more floral than I expected. Spices, namely cinnamon and clove, start to show up after a few minutes and the "white rum" aspect takes better shape. Settles into an alcoholic suntan lotion with a massive floral presence and undercurrent of spice, mashed banana, there's a salty ocean spray note that develops. Juice quality was pretty decent. The florals were really quality, the salty marine note was well done and not cheap/annoying, but there was something in the base that prickled and ticked in the all too disappointing hyper aroma-chem way. The rum note also came across as very lackluster. Spices were nice though, the subtle cinnamon and clove was well incorporated. Overall for a floral focused frag, the blend was really nicely done with some enjoyable nuance for those who dig. Projection was room filling for me from one spray, very tenacious. Overall a soft 5/10 for me. It's tolerable but I'd rather be wearing a bunch of other stuff. If you're a fan of big white and yellow florals, this could definitely be an amazing scent for you, personally I wasn't expecting this to be an 80%+ floral fragrance.

I haven't been in an exploring fragrances mood, but found my sample of this in the chaos that is my work desk and decided to give it a go. At first it was pretty great. Not really much on the banana, but a floral that read almost designer but elevated. The quality is evident but it didn't feel like anything special. I got a compliment on the scent by the only other person I saw this morning. Around noon it turned masculine. The salty notes and the musk overran any femininity Aurore Nomade started out with. Now, at almost 5pm, it smells like cheap male body spray. So, I guess that means the longevity is good? If I tuck my head in my shirt (I have no idea why, but I always spray my belly) I can catch a woody incense. If the sea notes were removed and that amped, with the lovely fruity-floral open, I'd be super into this.

I"ve sampled this for awhile now but haven't reviewed for good reason: it's difficult to describe. There is so much happening I can't zero in on the overall theme. Opening reminds me of Parfum de Therese. That would be the citrus vibe, making me think this was going the route of a summer chypre. This gives way to vibrant, earthy florals (aka an oriental) finally rounding out to soft, warm base notes . There is a strong, starchy fruit opening that I enjoy. It wears best if misted over the clothes and not hose sprayed on the chest. The vibe is youthful, yellow, and joyous. It's very unique; anyone stepping out in this will definitely make a statement. The fruit note never goes away but does change with time as it interplays with the lower pyramid. A great find from Lucky Scent!

This is really 'jungle juice'. An amalgamation of banana leaf, starfruit, spices - all enveloped by a sneaky white sun soaked white rum. Every time I wear this I get somewhat giddy and can't walk a straight line. I would not suggest that you wear this while handling heavy machinery, but why would you, as this is the perfume for lazy tropical afternoons, drinking poo-poo drinks with small umbrellas in them, reading novellas and taking intermittent dips in the pool. Every time I wear this, I feel surrounded by tropical foliage...be careful not to slip on that banana! Although it is not a strong projector, it holds its own and is persistent over 6 hours. First breath is awake you from the daily semi-slipping, rises your eyes, makes your mind to play a puzzle, what notes are here. So inspiring, so mysterious, so unexpectable, so sweet and addicting that you want to stick to the place it's sprayed onto. Nice job to Bertrand D. Unusual for unusuals.

I layer this with a light spritz of zoologist HYRAX to balance out the fruit funk. I think Duchafour’s Amaranthine is a tamer green banana version of this one.
