Jasmin de Nuit

la mia pianta di gelsomino sul balcone è zeppa di fiori, anche quest'anno, nonostante il mio pollice tutt'altro che verde. è una di quelle varietà che fiorisce a maggio, per pochissimi giorni: dopo il tramonto è profumatissima e mi ricorda inesorabilmente e proustianamente le sere estive della mia infanzia. è per celebrare questo piacere passeggero che oggi ho scovato un profumo al gelsomino... epperò io ho grandi difficoltà, come capita per profumi a base di altri "fiori bianchi", a tollerarlo, se non in casi veramente eccezionali. questo accordo è uno di quei casi: si apre con note fiorite, appunto, di gelsomino, che perdurano preminenti il tempo di una sniffata, per poi passare in secondo piano. nel contempo si fanno sentire essenze speziate: cannella e anice, in prima battuta, poi un tocco di cardamomo. il fondo è piuttosto classico: note di ambra, sandalo e patchouli. l'aspetto veramente inusuale di questo profumo è che il gelsomino non solo sta in sottofondo, timido, ma si appalesa ad ondate, rinfrescando di volta in volta il cuore speziato dell'accordo. insomma un gelsomino per chi non ama i profumi al gelsomino. molto buono.

Vintage bottle. If you have ever smelled vanilla powder, this is exactly how it smells like .The opening is a warm crème brûlée/custard with the jasmine,white florals and rose blended on it ,and then on the basenotes the classic Chanel n5 sandalwood, vanilla, oakmoss, vetiver,Ylang Ylang and patchouli but very discreet,nothing loud or vintage,masterfully blended. To me,the dry down smells very straight forward vanilla powder which is very different to the smell of the vanilla pods commonly used at home in our kitchens,its more like the smell of just home made cookies, with an organic deepness, jungle density ,heady, pure, raw, untouched, seductive, complex. Vanilla and Jasmine as you have never ever smelled before. Jasmine de Nuit is a dark,rich,narcotic,sweet,gourmand scent,sexy and full of character, addictive. Night time.Unisex. No resemblance with Musc ravageur. Masterpiece.

I've been lusting after this since I first sampled it. It's my favorite of The Different Company's line. Jasmin de Nuit is indeed a different Jasmin perfume: it's not specifically a floral, but rather a skillful blending of sweet spice with an undercurrent of Jasmin swimming through it. It isn't particularly strong on me, but it does last a decent amount of time. My skin eats up fragrances, so I like the longevity (3-4 hours...and that good for me). I'd wear it anywhere without fear of clearing the room. I'd describe it more as transparent, not heavy and opaque, if that makes sense, and I get no powder as others have reported. I see myself wearing it all year long, even during the summer. I think of this scent as ageless. For me, this one is worth the price of a full bottle, and maybe even the purse-size refill set.

I had this years ago, I’ve since finished a bottle and decided it was time to have this beauty back in my collection. This is a differnt take on jasmine, it’s floral but warm and spicy but not oud or pink pepper spicy, it’s smooth and rich. The cinnamon comes right out front mixing well with the star anise and the floral notes. Honestly I love this! It’s mature but NOT Grandma, it’s a sophisticated floral. I absolutely love jasmine, living in Los Angeles I loved the night blooming jasmine scent in the evening, it was magical. You can spray this with quite a few sprays and not choke any one, it dries to a beautiful floral. Sillage is arms length but just so freaking beautiful. You will get noticed. PS cardamom is one of my favorite notes and it work well in this. It’s a 10/10 just the best!

Jasmine, cinnamon and fresh bergamot to start--such a luminous, warm, bright floral. Then, a touch of indole surfaces as Jasmin de Nuit warms on the skin. Anise and cardamon really come out to play in the heart--cheeky, earthy and spiced. A little soft orange keeps it playful but warm and sultry throughout. The drydown is lovely--sandalwood, velvety patchouli and amber with hints of citrus and cinnamon remaining. This final phase reminds me a lot of Givenchy Organza Indecence. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of jasmine remains, and the naughty indole I was initially teased with is nowhere to be found. Overall, Jasmin de Nuit is a beautifully composed and heart-warmingingly sensual fragrance, but not one worthy of the flower's namesake.

Holy indoles, Batman! What a skank! This perfume makes me feel so sexy! It's a jasmine with a little spicy oomph. The opening is interesting and somewhat spicy, with the star anise and the cinnamon (which I usually hate) but here it seems to be balancing the sweetness of the jasmine. Combine that with the freshness of the citrus and voila! It works perfectly on my skin. Sprayed it on (from a sample) and it's still going strong 6 hours later. The indoles in this fragrance really have to warm up to my skin, it is best for warmer days. Not sure if it'd be safe to wear this to the office, but I'd definitely wear it on a date!

Gosh! I love this. A real spicey opening that made me think of my beloved Amouage Fate for a brief moment This might be a touch sweeter and I can pick out the jasmine more easily. I also get the "fuel" note mentioned by others but this wains quite quickly and anyway I quite like it. I love my spices so it would have been very bad luck if I was not to love it. This has amazing sillage but I am in a warm humid room which must make a big difference. It takes a little while for the sandalwood and amber to emerge. The longevity is impressive as well. My skin gobbles up fragrance so doubly impressed.

In the opening I get almost only anise and cinnamon and I asked myself 'where is the jasmine?'. However after a few minutes the lovely jasmin showed herself through the spicy notes and it was lovely. The jasmine note here brought ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette to my mind, even if ELDO's jasmine is a little more fresher and drier whereas Jasmin de Nuit is spicy. After a few hours there was only some spicy sweetness left on my skin. I like it much and I think it is an outstanding option for jasmine lovers.

I love the opening of this perfume. It is staged with accents of white flowers (jasmine)... after a while it becomes intimate and soft,delicate with cinnamon that predominates. It has a special charm that makes it unique,a nice sweet and gentle parfum. Sillage: 6./10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Scent: 8./10 Overall: 8./10

I'm realizing more and more that jasmine perfumes are just not my cuppa tea. I keep trying, and it's just not working. I think it's because I am so used to the scent of real jasmine, which grows all around me every summer, that no perfume comes close and always smells synthetic to me. There is always a sour facet to jasmine in perfumery that just isn't accurate at all. This is no exception. That being said, Jasmine de Nuit is the best of the bunch. I almost like it, which is a big deal for me for reasons stated above. I love the use of spices here. Spiced jasmine is what I expected but did not get from Tom Ford's Jasmin Rouge. I've smelled countless jasmine-dominant perfumes, and this is by far the best and most unique.

To my nose and in my opinion subjectively, Jasmin de Nuit showcases a cardamom-cinnamon-amber soaked jasmine not unlike the one in Roja Enigma Parfum Pour Homme. The effect is addictive. If someone starts getting defensive due to that statement, feel free to check out some common or similar notes. Perfectly unisex, and to anyone that isn’t afraid of jasmine, a flower which in itself isn’t inherently feminine, highly recommended.

OK here we go... This is Jasmine at it's sexiest composition.. The spicies are sooo delicate blended with the jasmine notes.. so smoothly.. You can totally feel wrapped in a cozy, warm blanket feeling. There's something modest in Jasmin De Nuit, I wouldn't say it's a provocative perfume but it definitely manage to provoke hot feelings on people around you! ;) Excellent feminine quality! a winner for me!

Starts off with a nice sweet cinnamon. Not much jasmine. Jasmine is a very low key sideplayer, barely there. It smells nice I think, without disturbing components, and I like it as a cinnamonfragrance. It has low sillage and ok duration. Very soon a skinscent.

Anyone noticed, that it smells like Coca Cola?

Well, I had high expectations on this frag.... Probably I was mistaken expecting a prominent Jasmine note (that I adore) . This frag is not about jasmine, in the common way we' re used to smell it, the name is so misleading! So please do not expect a huge soliflore note coming out of this. It is an interesting fragrance that smells subtle, clean. Has a chypre/metallic start (reminds me of a very light "Rive gauche"), some very very little white flowers notes and a cosy drydown. Spiced? somewhat... but again not what you would expect, not straight spices. I can smell some Damascus Rose in the drydown (a rose that has a cinnamon, spicy note) although it is not mentioned in the notes. It is indeed well blended, and difficult to define appropriately. In anycase, I would have never christened it "Jasmin de Nuit". Nice to try, but not FB worthy.

Apricot flavored green tea, hint of peppermint, cinnamon sticks, understated Jasmine. It is beautiful and easy to wear. For those who fear the indolic full-blown jasmine, this could be a nice playful version to try. However, I prefer something richer and soulful that is more jasmine-centric. As it wears on, i struggle to feel the presence of Jasmine at all.

It's always a bad sign when you look forward to the disappearance from your skin of the scent you are currently wearing. Alas, this is the case with EPICES DE NUIT, er, JASMIN DE NUIT by The Different Company. Well, this one is different: no argument there, and some wearers will delight in this mélange of star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, and probably everything else in the spice drawer, along with a few jasmine petals. My impression is that perfumer was trying to plump up the indolic facet of the jasmine through the skillful use of hard-hitting spices. The effect, to my nose, is rather like the athlete who plies himself with hormones in order to win the race, but later is exposed, forced to retreat from public life in ignominy. In perfect comformity with Murphy's law of perfume (according to which everything I love is discontinued and everything I hate has infinite longevity) this composition is so tenacious that I fear only a long, hot bath will relieve my body of the smell. On a positive note: anyone who likes this sort of thing will be happy to learn that even a couple of drops of this parfum masquerading as an edt packs a powerful punch. Although I am trapped in a fog of spice emanations, my sample "cube" is nearly full. To reiterate: definitely not for me.

This is the kind of perfume that bears a wrong title. I don't get any jasmine (which is probably not a bad thing as I detest jasmine bombs) at all. The opening is all about orange and anise but in a lighthearted way. There is also a strange smell of damp straw sleeping mat you'd come across in South East Asian countries during summer. Then it phases into a weak aquatic bubblegum sweetness which is very close to the skin. After 30 minutes, all I can get is cinnamon and sandalwood. I don't particularly dislike this perfume but it's not worth the price. It's kind of interesting but shame there is nothing extraordinary in it nor is it even annoying in any sense. Plus the sillage is ZERO so...sorry but it's not my thing.

The first time I tried this it was so strong it felt like a beating heart on my skin, deep and throbbing! A spicy, not dirty, jasmine complimented with a striking star anise note. Too many years later I bought another bottle directly from The Different Company in France. Yes, it's watered down and weak. Big disappointed frowning face here.

There is something fusty about this fragrance that does not set well with me. Not getting the spicy or seductive comments at all - more like grannie's handbag. Seems very stale.
