1 And Only

Absolute banger, once its sat to mature for a month or two, it really starts to become a beast with a few sprays and the accuracy of it is nostalgic from what i remember of the og formulation. It has a bit of a slight twist but i cant put my finger on what it is. Regardless this fragrance projects with a decent longevity and the sillage is quite enjoyable, as well as lasting through the first 4-6 hours depending on the environment and weather. Afterwards it becomes a bit closer to skin but still wonderful . Worth the money imo, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another bottle when this one runs out.

My frustration at all the reformulations of the original EDT(Which to my knowledge I think are at 4 now maybe 5)have finally gotten the better of me and for my Christmas present I decided to try this out and bought it. Testing it next to whats left of my original bottle, and other formulations I have to say. No this does not match the actual 2008 original. The original 2008 lasts all day on me. Thats not to say that its a beast, but it has a strong long lasting dry down. This trying this out, yes it smells stronger than the reformulations that I have(albeit granted I do not have the made in france version, nor the apparent listed on the website new version that is somehow listed as a lavander fragrance and no longer has tobacco even listed on it. Which dont even get me started on that, its extremely confusing to me). However I think they missed the script a bit. This is stronger than the newer versions because although yes it smells like the one, its stronger because its fresher. Theres like this piercing note in it that continues to tingle the nose throughout its life span.Its not as spicy, or as sweet as the actual original. Again the original 2008 has a strong long lasting dry down with the amber, tobacco and ceader that although doesnt project crazy, has a good bubble around you, and again on me I could get all day performance. For me again although this is certainly stronger than whats out there now, because it has this more piercing kinda freshness to it. It doesnt smell as snuggly as the original. Like even in the dry down, it doesnt lend itself as well to just buring your head iny arm and closing your eyes. Well at least I mean thats what I do since I always spray my hand/arm as well when I wear a fragrance so I can relax and smell it myself. Anyway.. again TLDR, stronger than whats out there now that ive smelled, and it does smell like the one, however why its stronger, they kinda messed up a bit which is a bummer. Might be worth trying if you like the DNA so to speak, but certainly I would pay close mind to the "This fragrance offers better longevity than the current version" line because that doesnt mean it performs better than the actual OG.

I love this stuff! Just like the user below mentioned, the real DG The One is incredibly weak. Just get this instead.
