Amberlicious Cherry

This Dua creation is a dupe hybrid of Lost Cherry by Tom Ford and Ambre Narguile by Hermes. Oh my lord it's good. The imagery on the bottle is spot on, it makes me think of some sort of rum cocktail mixed with cherry liqueur and garnished with even more cherry. It's amber-heavy, boozy and a little powdery on the drydown, a nice balance that makes it perfectly unisex but probably more ideal for the colder months. This is what i'd consider a safe blind buy if the art on the bottle appeals to you.

I’ve had Apple crumb from Alexandria & Amberlicious from Dua, this here is my favorite! The added cherry is exactly what I was looking for! Personally, apple crumb smelled like potpourri. Amber licious was missing some thing. This has the added depth from the lost cherry!

Well done inspired hybrid fragrance by Dua! Ambre Narguile by Hermès and Lost Cherry by Tom Ford blended together beautifully and deliciously. More LC to my nose with the perfect touch of AN. I love it and lasts all day.

This just gives me warm cough syrup. I guess it's the combination of rum and honey notes, with dark cooked cherries. I was hoping for something brighter, a fresher more tart cherry. I'm just not getting the pretty and complex blend I've read about. It's a very warm scent, more suited to fall and winter--a cherry NyQuil fragrance for cold and flu season. Edit: I have to amend my original review. I kept coming back, trying to understand why my experience was so different from the reviews. I read that Dua frags need time and a little space in the bottle to come alive, and that seems to be the case. It's been a week now with a few sprays missing from the bottle, and while it's the same immediately upon spraying, it quickly transforms into a complex, high-end scent with a really enjoyable drydown. The warm gooey feel I got at first is tempered beautifully now by the other notes. It lingers forever on fabric; I spray this on in my room and it stays in the carpet. Days later I open the door and the scent is still there. Definitely for cool weather, and I'm adding to my fall and winter wardrobe. This experience made me take a few sprays out of all my Dua scents and give them another try--it changed my mind about all but one! Worth trying and buying, especially for the price, just let it breathe for a week before passing judgement. Glad I gave it a second chance. 👍😊

After some time of having this, I've grown completely sick of this. I bought this after the love I had for Lost Cherry but I don't think they're similar at all when it comes to the dry down. I do understand it's meant to be a combo of two different dupe fragrances but I was initially lead to believe this was much more like Lost Cherry. Unfortunately I just don't get that here. The very first spray definitely has Lost Cherry in it from what I can smell and I get the other ambery notes which I'm taking is from the other dupe Ambre Narguile which I haven't tried yet. It starts out actually quite nice and does resemble Lost Cherry quite a bit. However, It's way too intense on a particular note in it which I'm taking is the amber, and this will start to kick in almost straight after you put it on. I will give it credit for lasting absolutely ages as 1 bottle can go a long way but this for me just wasn't it. If you loved Lost Cherry and are looking for something that is very close to it, I honestly feel like this would not be the right choice to go for. Lost Cherry is hands down my absolute favourite scent to date and Amberlicious cherry simply lacks the complex boozy almond and even cherry notes that makes Lost Cherry so special once it's dried down. I just really feel they become extremely different. I wouldn't objectively call this a bad fragrance because I don't think that at all, but just rather I went into this with high expectations and the scent just became too much when it was worn throughout the day.
