Dragon Of Dark

Dragon Of Dark- Inspired by- Black Dragon by Byron Parfums- First of all, I am puzzled why this was not hyped up. If not for my dear friend, Michelle Young, this would have surely slipped past me. Let me preface this- this is most definitely one of my favorites from Dua- this year. From the onset, you are enveloped in a creamy, lavishly blended Honey, along with a tinge of juiciness (I assume from the fruity notes). Enter the Cigar leaves/ Vanilla combo, which never departs for the remainder of the journey. The Sandalwood, Amber and Musk just enhances what we are already swimming in and the Patchouli, I assume, is to give more depth and longevity. *Side note- The Patchouli is not remarkable, in that, you may not even know it's there. This is Not a Patchouli dominant fragrance. It is listed as aromatic/ fruity- but for my nose, any obvious fruitiness is only briefly in the open. She is definitely aromatic- without question luxurious. This is a blended masterpiece. ( Think of Guerlains/ Serge Lutens).. Notes: Honey, Mango, Pineapple, Cigar, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, & Patchouli. Listed as Unisex- and she is that- UNISEX. Longevity- I sprayed before I went to bed and could still smell her in the Morning. - 8hrs. Beast mode- Not really, but she has serious Sillage- a good 4-5 feet and a definite scent trail. Final thoughts- Dragon of Dark has catapulted into one of my favorite Duas- Definitely considering a back up bottle. The bottle art is pretty awesome, too... Well done Dua and Mahsam Raza..

I haven't tried the inspiration for this one, but not really inclined. This is an unoffensive powdery fruity floral on me that I find same-y and boring. It's safe to wear and won't upset anyone, but the DNA is so overdone these days that it's not something that intrigues.
