Ecstasy

I own this... Imagine something black, like black ink, mixed with berries and slowly a metallic shimmer, a veil of diamonds cascade with the blackness and berries in a overtly sexual manor and there you have this juice. Not like Jubilation XXV, more it's own thing, darker I would say, and a little more fixated on the darkness. I get 10+ hours from 2 sprays, it's pretty much beast mode with 4 hours of good projection.

Definitely another interesting work from the house of Dua, Ecstasy is purported to resemble Amouage Jubilation XXV, one of the Omani house's most revered men's entries (along the likes of Reflection and Interlude). I definitely don't regard myself much of a worshipper of Amouage Jubilation XXV, as many are, so I won't hold Ecstasy so some unusually high standard, but I can offer that Ecstasy is an interesting fragrance in its own right. The notes that stand out most to me are blackberry, resins/amber, and incense. Overall, I don't get the complexity that I do from Jubiliation XXV (which, granted, I've only worn a couple of times), and in that respect, Ecstasy can either be more or less appealing to you. I find it roughly as appealing as Jubiluation XXV. It's a pleasant mix that could prove very versatile--all-year, both genders, night/day, casual/formal. It's a bit of chameleon in that can blend into whatever situation works. I like it, but don't love it, so I'm not sure I'll ever opt for a bottle given the other great offerings this house seems to regularly add to its already-large catalog, but I'm happy to have tried it out. Jubilation XXV would likely find it inferior but it might nonetheless prove an interesting take on the concept, and an affordable (standard $45 for 30ml extrait) and good-performing (up to par with most Duas) one at that. 7 out of 10

Easily distinguishable from the regal aroma of Amouage Jubilation: similar performance perhaps, but a clear notch down in terms of quality. And this smells more of chocolate and oranges than oud. Ultimately, not too bad but you’ll likely smell more like a knave than a king. 6/10

It has the body of Jubilation but without all the lifelike berry. All I get is a truck load of incense, agar wood(oud) and resins. This version is not subtle and wears heavy like a beast without the projection. Without any context I'm not sure I would peg this as Jubilation but rather something else that has a good incense smoky vibe to it.

My friend purchased this . Smelled like garbage . Doesnt even come close to my real jubilation xxv . Left an oily mess all over my shirt and on my arm and wrist. Seriously what is this mess lol . These arnt fragrances.

I was coming to be pretty (if not very) disappointed with this House (all the e-chitchat and barbs aside, I don't do those with a scent review, sorry , i'm totally objective to all that) - the scents I tried from my Sampler set, they just simply weren't good enough for me to drop the $80 on a bottle. Belgian Choco wasn't so 'choco' enough for me, much too buttery-nutty and overdone. Cupids Lust was not clear nad true enough with it's coffee note that I was after. Poisedon's Elixir was simply too close to Aventus (and so, too green for me) to like as I much prefer the more citrusy and sweeter Cedrat Boise. Then, I came onto Ectasy. As a stern h8er of Jubilation, I couldn't wait to savage on this poor number to round off my downed spirits but, no. This went on, amazing! I was genuinely surprised; I got an almost full, popping berry note at the start. It has the hints of other darker basalms and yes, the Oud in the background but the berry is sweet and wonderful in the very beginning. The 'urea', or annoying orange-rind/woodchip note in XXV is virtually non-existent here, instead the woods show with actually a hint of the peel and then the oud comes in, but it's a soft oud. All the time, the sweetness just about holds up and the berry is more prominent than XXV's weak and muffled excuse. Then, some honey comes in,, definitely honey and more woods with a hint of spices. It was opulent, and actually very regal-smelling - it was crazy how this was totally shaming the so called 'king' with every passing second. It's $80 for 60mls of stronger EDP (?) and boy I'd take this anyway over ANY Amouage, let alone the awful XXV. It's not perfect or my favorite type by any means but it checks enough of my 'good boxes' to keep me into this genre, and rewarding as a Signature scent as it takes only 15 minutes to warm and sweeten into the full, bubbling conconction of honey-berry-oud / faint floral that I was desperate to see why XXV was so hyped. Many a time the woods/oud just come off too pungent or set in sooner than I have liked. Plus the honey/sweetness just don't linger or develop on other wearings, leaving sweet-lovers coldly stranded. But the famous Silver-frankincense is not quite missing at all, just subdued and frankly not as half as thick as the gorgeous accord in XXV after the hour mark. It has to be said also, that XXV's drydown is a lot better for more times, especially over 2 hours in. That's where it begins shining but of course, I want goodness far earlier so it was never going to convince me. This DUA is much better and controlled / sweeter at the start but clearly lacks Amouge's complexity and Quality after an hours wear. In short, this blows XXV out of the water for the 1st hour note for note for everything it stands for, and I salute Mr Raza for pulling this 1 out of the hat so unexpectedly! The honey here in particular is really alluring, much better 'glue' for the other notes. Of course XXV has the Quality behind it's production but by some means, it trips over itself, and the sweetness is misportrayed and the 'Regality' obscured by too many other weird accords clashing and just not working with my skin-chemisty My rating: 7/10 Worth a try and if found a little discounted, maybe even a cheeky poke at a full-bottle

I never judge a book by it cover!! I read a lot of negative reviews about this brand but I ignored all, i ordered ecstasy and kings precious oud and here is my opinion about this juice ecstacy, first its supposed to be resembling to amouage jubilation xxv man, honestly not smell similar! Its has a few notes that exist in jubilation but not close, but its smell good and can be a good perfum in its own, the problem is this perfum sit close to skin, no projection and no sillage and longevity so poor!! Usually for an extract of perfum its should be an monster that performs like a beast, that one of reasons this house gain a lot of haters! The dua team should work harder on performance, imagine you paid 50 US dollars for 30 ml bottle plus 15 shipping cost, and the quality so low you will screwed! Its over priced and with half of it price you can get 100ml bottle from so legit middle eastern brands online or in ebay! Im not going to buy from this house and I don't recommend, also i want to note that thier website do not accept any negative reviews!! I wrote same review but its not there!! Be ware of blind buy, thanks

like, but not love. To me, definitely not Jubilation, not enough to even add to the "reminds me of box". It lacks the sweet dried fruit note of Jubilation, and has a sharper Frankincense note. In fact, this reminds me a little of TF Oud Wood (definitely not as smooth). Quality from this house is great, despite some of the negative reviews. Definitely lasts a long time. If you are looking for better from this house, I recommend Kings Precious Oud - it is very close to interlude, much much closer than this is to Jubilations.

@worlockss: There are those claiming that these are inexpensive fragrance oils you can buy at places like Exotic Fragrances in Manhattan (for $4 or $5 per ounce). The experience you describe would certainly be consistent with it.
