Got My Lipstick On!

At first it smells like old-school lipstick having that waxy sweet, sort of plastic scent reminiscent of old lipstick, from the iris and which reminds me of Barbie dolls too, and the heliotrope helps in that plastic impression as it is an almondy note. It is also VERY woody from the iris as well. The lipstick scent impression only lasts in the opening for about 5 mins, then it stays a very woody scent as if there is sandalwood in it, also sweet, slightly almond-y and citrusy in an oriental manner, the usual contrast in scents like Poison Girl EDT with the heliotrope, orange blossom, neroli, tonka common notes - minus the obnoxious orange. It is not too warm and it is also green in the background, with an amber-y cashmere-like oriental heliotrope sweetness contrasting a citrusy element, so it progressively reminds me of Alien Eau Extraordinaire and they have many common notes that explain the similar vibe being the neroli, heliotrope, orange blossom, bergamot and vanilla with the same very woody sandalwood impression, only this one is not as sharp and citrusy as that Alien flanker so it's kinda like a cross between Alien Eau Extraordinaire and a lighter Poison Girl EDT. It lacks the cashmere and amber of Alien Eau Extraordinaire yet it delivers a similar woody amber effect, and it has the patchouli note which isn't obnoxious, but rather an earthy touch. It combines the best elements from these two perfumes and the iris is the added bonus making it more girly than the other two.

Yes, many of the Dua Brand fragrances do have to sit and macerate for awhile since they're freshly poured, but some of them come ready to wear, like this one! I am OBSESSED with MMM lipstick on. Like it's problematic...my husband is concerned lol. I have three almost full bottles of Lipstick On. It's my signature scent & I will literally continue to buy bottles until I have no money left lmao. I have tried multiple dupes or close seconds, and they've never lived up to my standards. This perfume though...omg. It is the closest dupe I've tried thus far. I can instantly tell it's different, but I'd say this is a 95% dupe for Lipstick On. I'm seriously impressed. I can see why it's always out of stock!! It's currently in stock, so if you're eyeing it up, go grab it ASAP!!

Just received this “dupe” for Lipstick On. I had tried another website for dupes that turned out to be a scam. The fragranc had absolutely no resemblance to MM Lipstick On. Even worse it had a weird chemical smell. So I was excited to try this having been obsessed with MM Lipstick On. Well, upon initial spray I noticed that same weird chemical smell. It doesn’t smell anything like MM which had a beautiful scent right away. I read that these DUA dupes need to macerate. So I will let this sit and update my review.
