Man Card VIP

Serious contender for Gucci PH II On my skin it starts off very fresh and aquatic (smell some juniper in there as well) but within the first 1-2 hours it keeps getting warmer and all that amazing spice starts coming to the surface. Very close to the original and with better performance on my skin. Great value for money.

I've got a bottle of the OG, and it's my top scent. I only spritz it for very, very special occasions. That being said, I want to wear it more, so I went on the hunt for which dupe houses were doing something with it. I found Dua's Man Card VIP. I put a spritz of the OG on my left arm, and Dua's on my right, and gave it a moment. Dua's version is definitely stronger. On spray, I could pick up the tea, the cinnamon, the violet - but on dry down, I'm just getting a lot of bergamot and cinnamon. The other notes don't really come through. After about an hour, things started to balance out a bit more, and when I smelled to compare again, I could pick up some of the violet and tea, but the berg and cinnamon still sat front and center. Comparing directly, OG is much softer (but those of us who have had it knew that; it was always a skin scent), however I can pick up the violet and tea notes, and my nose wants to say it's more clove than cinnamon (I think the tobacco + cinnamon are giving that illusion though; if you've ever smoked Djarums you'll get it). Dua's isn't as nuanced, but it's also a dupe house - you're not getting a direct clone, but you're supposed to be getting something that's damn near close, and Dua gets it almost on the mark; just every so ~slightly~ unbalanced, imo. Overall, it's a reallllllly close replication, and I will certainly be wearing it. Edit to my review: The scent/bottle underwent some change it seems. After sitting for a bit, when I spray this bottle now - it's just straight bergamot. It's a bergamot bomb. Even on the drydown, all the other notes just vanish for me.

Similar but might need maceration for the full fragrance to be enjoyed. Also the atomizer could do for some improvement as very little juice comes out in the spray. Overall lasts a while. 7/10

Overall very close to the original. I think the aroma in the first can be citrus forward in the first 20 seconds. Then immediately goes to the drydown of GPH II which I appreciate the most. It’s the mix of the notes that I feel make the aroma what it is. Very smooth and masculine at the same time. The only difference is this one is a bit louder. 9/10 DUA
