Treasure Femme

Dua Treasure Femme is the dupe for the original formulation of Lancome Tresor (from the 90s). The faithful lovers of this fragrance may remember that Tresor used to be a golden apricot elixir; and the current reformulations are a pungent, anemic, horrendously butchered version of the original. My mom, who used to wear Tresor pure Parfum (or EDP at worst) back in the days smelled the recent reformulation blind and could not recognize it. She said, "What is this? It smells sweet but sort of bitter. I don't like it much." When I told her it was Tresor EDP, she was shocked and very bluntly said, "oh they ruined it!" I feel the same way. I have the best memories of my beautiful Mom, watching her get ready to go out, and smelling her gorgeous perfume when I was growing up. When I first wore it late 90s, it was when I stole a tiny dab of it before I went on my first "real date". I felt like such a grown up. I remember the guy who sniffed me saying, "Ooh I love your perfume. You smell like apricots!" Long gone are the days when Tresor could ever get such compliments from anyone - unless that person is blessed enough to have the new formulas actually express a noticeable fruity bouquet on their skin. Fast forwarding to Dua Treasure Femme... I won't even compare this to the current reformulations, which aren't even worth talking about for me. Compared to the original, Treasure Femme under performs slightly. It isn't as potent or as "golden" smelling. I can smell the apricots, peaches, the powdery roses, and the amber-y dry down. It does bring back the original at around 90%. I doubt anyone can recreate the original precisely but Dua did a great job with this attempt. I got a full bottle with no regrets. If you'd like a dupe of the original or the current Tresor at a great price, grab yourself a bottle without hesitation. Love this! 🍑🧡🍑
