Ivory Temptation

So I got these samples ages ago and sort of dismissed the brand as a pop up, luxurious for the sake of it... type thing and not really the sort of artistry which attracts me, but in fairness I recall liking a few of them. I picked this sample back up today and I'm glad I revisited it because I really like Ivory Temptation. It delivers a pink, fluffy onesie of girlie-ness, fruity top which I define anyone to realize is the listed apricot/peach an mandarin listed here but maybe the combo creates this sort of confection sense to me, but crucially it's not candy saccharine, it's just right. Then the overt, creamy muskiness of the thing is basically the theme throughout, tinged with sandalwood and a tiny bit of rose and an even more subtle hint of cinnamon. The subtlety akin to an aftertaste of food or wine, like a lazy forklift truck driver, it lingers on the palate, I think it's actually delicately balanced stuff. Reminded me in passing of the spirit of 'The Musc' by essential parfums but is equally fleeting, Ivory Temptation being quite a different prospect, especially when wearing. It's not as powerful or tenacious as some musky perfumes and I'm kinda glad, they can hug you to death sometimes, this definitely has that luxurious feel but it's also not massively special but I give it credit for the subtle spice notes. Yeah it's really good, enjoyed wearing it to be honest, and for all it's ubiquity it's not a straight copy of anything I can recall... so yeah I recommend you try it.

Sensual, soft to moderate silage, simply beautiful. 10 min after i have sprayed it, i wanted to bite my hand, as if i would bite in a mandarin, that was the urge. Its soo tasty. Initially, bit on the fruity side, soon followed by cardamom & nutmeg which stay throughout all day. The perfume is definitely spicy, and after 15 min, top notes disappear in the background, but they are there, just not so prominent. Later on, i have the feeling of falling into the soft, musky silk, vetiver and tonka bean singing me into the sleep. Although i wrote here a lullaby ( and that’s cuz its so beautifully sensual) i find its more of a day perfume. As i own quite few oriental perfumes with enormous silage i decided i need something for everyday as i just can’t wear my loved ones day after day..they are too special and also maybe too heavy for the office. So i am happy to have found a light perfume so different to all other office perfumes i get to smell while walking around. And although it does not project heavily, i do get my joy all day. ( i can smell it on me all day). 4/5

Really good smell! A fruity, fresh and floral fragrance where the notes of peach, flowers and rose are the masters! It puts me in a good mood making me think of quiet summer / spring days, in good company. Slightly spiced thanks to cardamom, we also have a slight creaminess given by the note of sandalwood. A really nice perfume that I recommend to all lovers of the genre! In three words: fresh, fruity and flowery. Good ! It is perfectly unisex

Smelled from the Paris tester set. It has a masculine, Axe/Old Spice sharp vibe. There’s some sandalwood or tonka spicy/creamy woodiness on the back, which I like. Enormous sillage. But it’s too close to a mainstream, male body fragrance for me. My boyfriend said it smelled like a body spray guys would put on in the locker room instead of showering. I give it a 7/10, not bad but not noteworthy. He gives it a 5/10.

Sweet and fresh flower bouquet with clean and spicy citrusy accord and sheer white musks. Beautiful peachy note (more like a peach skin, rather than a fruit). It’s tender and soft, but with a good sillage. I have some strange feelings about it, because it has my favorite notes next to my least favorite ones, so I can’t decide wherever I like it or not.
