Please note, this is NOT a review of Vanille au Beurre, which I have yet to sample, rather this a review for another The Good Scent (TGS) fragrance in the Curations line: ...Vanilla Allure. I only review it here because it does not have its own Fragrantica page, ....and I suspect it never will, like the majority of TGS fragrances. Vanilla Allure play as an exceptionally rich take on gourmand vanilla. The secret to its delicious 'allure' seems to be subtly underplayed notes of caramel and coffee, and an even more subtle tang of citrus zest. The coffee note, in particular, is light but present, with this gourmand recipe smelling more like vanilla caramel toffee, than a flavoured coffee drink. Overall, Vanilla Allure is quite enjoyable by itself, but this scent also offers an exceptional choice for layering in instances when a very rich vanilla is desired.
