Divine Rose

Divine Rose belongs to The Merchant of Venice Murano Art Collection. The bottle is made of hand-blown Murano glass, with delicate spiral veins and tiny bubbles inside. The cap is shaped like a flame in translucent glass (possibly plastic). The whole bottle looks like a golden quill. Unfortunately autumn has arrived and the sunlight is getting weaker, so it’s hard to photograph its beauty on cloudy days. This collection was very expensive. Ten years ago a bottle was already close to 200 euros, which made it difficult for me to collect the whole series. I believe most of them are discontinued now. Although the bottle is beautiful, it isn’t just a decorative perfume. The theme is rose, but the rose here isn’t sweet. It’s wrapped in coriander, saffron, and a hint of dry cinnamon. The opening has a slight coolness and doesn’t arrive with any dramatic intensity. In fact, the rose itself is barely noticeable at first. Once the top notes fade, the rose finally reveals itself—a soft rose without sugary sweetness. It feels as if the rose were growing in a plum orchard, the petals carrying a gentle fruit-like sweetness. Very rich and beautiful. The drydown moves into a more Middle Eastern direction, with layers of oud, amber, and musk. The scent becomes warmer and smoother. On my skin, the longevity is surprisingly short. After about an hour it becomes quite soft, but still very beautiful.
