Gold Regatta

Do yourself a favour and find a way to test this beauty. I've just finished my 5ml sample and had to get a full bottle. It is on the expensive side, but I was lucky enough to find a tester bottle. I recommend you act quickly before influencers and reviewers get wind of its existance, if you want a chance to find a bargain. Gold Regatta is a soft, gentle yet assertive scent. It is woody and it's got a fluffy vanilla note, but it's also got a salty and marine aspect to it. It is extremely elengant and interesting, but it's also easy to wear and modern. I'm wearing it in winter, and I can't wait to see how it works in warmer weather. ACHTUNG: this is the part of my review where I talk about what I get smelling this perfume in terms of connections to my personal life experiences. Chanses are you won't experience the same, even if you've been to Venice before. From Gold Regatta I get a reminder of one of my visits to Venice in mild weather season. I couldn't say exactly which occasion, as I live 2 hours away from Venice and I've been there several times. It probably is one of those reconstructions of a memory our imperfect, yet inventive little brain likes to make. I get the salty air from the sea, but also the scent of pastries coming out of bakeries, restaurants and eateries. I get the lukewarm air and a sense of carefreeness you normally get when on vacation or on a trip. I get refinement and the liveliness, energy and enthusiasm from the (not too) many people about the streets - remember, this is a fantasy-memory of an ideal visit to Venice in mild weather, and not the ordeel you'd experience if you went on high season (don't do that!). In summary this is an elegat, refined, modern and optimistic scent that will certainly put a smile on your face. It's fairly unisex, but you could see it as a woody, salty/marine, less gourmandy and more masculine version of the excellent D&G Devotion.

I really love this one! It’s fruity, sweet, salty and a little bit dank and musty. Reminiscent of being under a quay when the tide’s just gone out but with this dusty, woody kind of smell I can’t quite describe. It’s light, airy and delicate, and even though it’s very different and unique smelling, it doesn’t have anything unpleasant about it and none of the notes ‘jump out’ once it’s settled. No need to overspray, one on each wrist and one on either side of the neck generates plenty of sillage for a good few hours The powdery sweet vanilla and amber stay on my skin for aeons after the other notes have faded, which is a good 4-6 hours. Probably not a great blind buy, I find it quite sweet and probably more feminine than other fragrances I like, but so beautiful and very wearable. Brilliantly executed 👏👏

Bought this today and just wow! This fragrance brings you visions of standing in the Italian coast smelling the ocean breeze with hints of sweetness and warmth from the amber notes. One thing I would say is that this fragrance quite divisive as niche fragrances go... In terms of performance I would say I get at least 12 hours of longevity it’s a beast mode smell. This is the kind of fragrance that makes you keep smelling it over and over and I haven’t gone nose blind to it as of yet. There is no fragrance I can think of that comes close to it, it smells like old money is the best way I can describe it! However my only criticism is the cost - being £220 is quite steep but it certainly will turn heads so I recommend it heavily. Overall rating 9/10

A very well blended fragrance but when i first test it on my skin, it did ring a big bell. Where did i smell this before? Oh wait, i know cuz i have it in my collection but didn't used it in ages. GOLD REGATTA is 95% LATTAFA AJWAD. In fact Lattafa tried to or accidentally copied this good italian perfume. Gold Regatta is Lattafa Ajwad but only a little bit sweeter and of course way higher when it comes about the quality of the ingredients. Projection and longevity are top! A really good fragrance but overpriced.

Amo le fragranze intense ma delicate, e sono sempre alla ricerca di nuove note profumate da abbinare alle mie giornate. Questa fragranza Gold Regatta mi ha incantata, la nota ambrata é morbida e delicata, mentre la nota vanigliata avvolge senza essere troppo dolce, é perfetta per chi come me ama le note aspre ma delicate. Mi piace indossarlo di giorno per dare brio alle mie giornate e di sera per dare quel tocco in più alle mie serate. Il pack è elegante e raffinato e la boccetta é davvero stupenda!

Amazing fragrance switch from wearing indoors in AC and wearing outdoors in the heat. Inside, at 80 F: sweet skin scent, lovely and unobtrusive, perfect for an office. Outside at 100+ F: realistic salt air, instant strong projection. It's like stepping outside at the seashore and being hit with the wind off the sea. And I mean instant. I had not even gotten the door closed before the perfume suddenly boiled off my skin and hit my nose. It's awesome. I want a full bottle.

La deliziosa fragranza riporta subito alla memoria la meravigliosa laguna. Adoro il fatto che sia un tributo alla bellissima e indimenticabile città di Venezia. I tried Gold Regatta at the store. It was love at first smell. The problem was that they had only the tester; therefore, I could not buy a bottle. The next day, I could still smell it on my t-shirt. To be honest, I was not sure that marine and woody notes would be a good combination. I was wrong. I will purchase this perfume as soon as it is available. As recommended by @Damu, you need to give it a chance if you find the opportunity.

La fragranza "Gold Regatta" e' davvero pazzesca. Trovo sia raffinata e delicata ma al contempo intensa: amo le sue note legnose che lasciano verso le fine una leggera scia ambrata e vanigliata. Ha un bel packaging e dura davvero tanto! Molto carina l'idea di dedicare la fragranza alla splendida Venezia. Gold Regatta è perfetto come idea regalo per i veri intenditori di profumi.

Do you want a daily that smells different from everyone AND has lasting power and projection? Then this is exactly for you. Woody sweet fresh scent that smells so unique and smells like genuine heaven???? this scent is so relaxing while being a daily while being cheap (on discounters). Not a safe blind buy tho but never the less this is VERY VERY beautiful.

È una fragranza di classe, nonostante richiami al lusso resta comunque molto versatile. Un perfetto 4 stagioni e unisex, magari per gli over 30. Si sente un perfetto accordo tra note marine, ambra e una punta di vaniglia, nel drydown riaffiorano le note salate e cipriate. Durata siamo sulle 6 ore e ha un ottimo sillage

OH GOD I have finally found it. I am a major lover of salty sweet marines and figs. My two all time favorite perfumes, easily top 5 are Womanity and Sea My Love and THIS is like the best of both worlds in the most sexiest, high class, feminine leaning unisex way possible. I wish I could be burried in this.

Ho acquistato questo profumo per curiosità perchè ne avevo sentito parlare molto bene. Sono rimasta davvero soddisfatta. Perfetto per tutte le stagioni. Persistente ma senza risultare troppo forte. Un mix tra il profumo del mare, il muschio e la vaniglia. Lo adoro. Anche il packagin è bellissimo.

Ho avuto modo di provare la fragranza “Gold regatta” (5 ml) di “the merchant of Venice” e me ne sono innamorata. Le note di fondo di Ambra e vaniglia e quelle di legno e fico formano un connubio perfetto. La consiglio a chi ama le fragranze dolci, ma non troppo.

Provato appena che mi è arrivato super contenta perché è un profumo strepitoso ne ho spruzzato un po' e devo dire che lascia il profumo addosso resiste il pechagin e favoloso lo consiglio e ottimo anche come idea regalo per chi è amante dei profumi

La fragranza Gold Regatta è diventata un must! Dura tantissimo ed e persistente. Fara dire a tutti : ma che profumo usi?" E' delicata ma intensa allo stesso tempo. L'odore e' fruttato ma con note legnose. La scia è ambrata e vanigliata. Lo adoro

Queste perfume é uno dei miei preferiti. E molto elegante e morbido, me piace che rimane a lungo. La combinazione della nota di vaniglia con il legno fa una combinazione buonissima! Il packaging bellissimo. In fine un perfumo meraviglioso!

Not a generic marine fragrance. I don’t think its blind buy safe. I find if too warm for daytime. Not sure why but to me, this feels like sweet warm milk. Good choice for a fun, different nighttime fragrance for warm nights.

Sometimes it smells like delicate sea breeze with hints of the most non-irritating vanilla and sometimes it smells like salty hazelnut and figs. idk but i loveee it

I live this it's a more fruity but not sweet version of Seraphim Red. I dislike Marine/Blue fragrances but this is something different. Fruity, salty and amber wood

This has sort of a salt and pepper meets vanilla thing going on. Vanilla is probably the star of the show, but an aromatic and freshened up vanilla. It is pretty dang appealing. Sort of has a savory and greasy element like a plain salty potato chip musk covered in vanilla. But still light and aromatic. Maybe I’m just hungry. Algae is worked in here for sure, but I’m not picking up on any fruit. 8.2/10

It’s a lovely salty scent! Even though I can still feel a bit of sharpness from calone molecules and synthetic ambergris, it is still quite pleasant and rounded with a touch of vanilla. Starts as a marine, mossy, musky smell. You get that salty, damp, stony and dirty smell of water canals. More natural than i expected. There is a creamy-floral-woody vibe emerging from the base, which is way better than the top notes. You get a very classical vanilla-amber drydown done just right. The accord is delicious and creamy and is definitely the best part of the scent. Gold Regatta is a good reflection of those Italian canals but i found the top notes to be rather unpleasant. The drydown is very good though. 100% not a blind buy scent.

A mixture of salt, amber and vanilla. Reminds me of Olympea. I think this could fit cold and warm weather equally well. On drydown, it gets more woody, I get a faint incensy, herbal smell. It is a nice fragrance, just not really my vibe.

A real immersion among the canals of Venice, watching an exciting regatta. Marine, seaweedy, non-invasive notes come out together with floral hints and fig, the protagonist of the composition: a fig which however does not reveal its pulp, rather its peel. The woody accents in the drydown recall the supporting structures of this splendid city, immersed in the sea. Very pleasant, sweet, it's not the kind of fragrance I wear but I would definitely notice it on other people. “Regatta on the Grand Canal” painted by Canaletto.

Weird; but smells good and lasts a long time. Exactly what you want in an expensive niche. Smells a little bit like Channel Allure homme sport Eau extreme after its dried down. Smooth, woody and nutty.
