Nuit Feline

The initial brightness fades very quickly. I expected a more forest-forward profile, but it reads noticeably warmer on my skin. What I get; unambiguously; is a barnyardy oud fused with a lightly animalic suede effect, plus a generous dose of clove-like spicing. It’s feral and nocturnal in a way that suits its name. There’s also a faintly sweet-tinged base. The materials feel high quality, but the overall density wears me out. There are very few reviews out there, and this write-up is based on a single wear. I’m simply reporting what my nose picked up. I don’t consider it remotely safe as a blind buy; it feels best suited to people who genuinely enjoy raw oud and have a high tolerance for animalic facets. The bottle is very black and visually low on charm. That’s not a huge deal, but I’m noting it because the brand’s bottles are often quite ornate. Wow! this is a furry animal. Bright opening with pine and little cypriol followed by fuzzy, furry animalic notes and a spicy oud note, the suede and incense are very smooth. I don't get too much of a barnyard oud, on my skin it feels very soft and well behaved. This is an interesting scent. I will finish my sample. Not sure I can pull it off but this is intriguing. I need to wear it again, another day...
