Vaniglia Madagascar

I was surprised by this too. It does resemble Nishane Ani, but it is less complex and just a bit floral. Based on the way it was released, I have wondered if this was intended to be a layering fragrance. As others have said, this is easy to wear and it works as a stand alone fragrance, unlike Bvlgari Allegra Magnifying Vanilla, which is very singular, but not nearly as pleasant. If you find Ani too expensive, Vaniglia Madagascar might work for you. The price, while not cheap, is a lot more affordable. (As of 12/2025 it can be found heavily discounted.) Edit: Having worn this more I changed m like to love; I absolute love the scent on fabric a day later. There is a lot of ginger in here as well as some spices. In one layering experiment with a generic musk the spices came out a lot more and it cut the sweetness of the ginger. It was a lot more interesting, and given that the other layer was musk, I feel like the complexity is probably in MV Vaniglia and they ight come out more on some people than others. I now think this might be fantastic on the right man, despite the sweetness. I think this could find a place in a lot of collections as a layering fragrance. I plan to try more combinations with it.

Sharp and refined, stays close to your skin but lingers for hours. Simple, charming doesn't get dull and stays sofisticated. Perfect scent for everyday wear, whether you want to relax at home or feel refreshed after a shower. Clean and crisp quality that balances the vanilla with a powdery freshness. Definitely not a gourmand! Versatile and pleasing fragrance that can suit anyone, but it might lean more towards the feminine side if you prefer more classic masculine scents. Great blind buy or a good gift choice for someone who loves vanilla fragrances. Works amazingly in a room diffuser.

It smells really good, fresh, sweet but not sticky, a little bit of spice like ginger. An invigorating and charming vanilla, the best I've ever tried and I'll soon invest in a bottle. The aroma is very natural and comforting, makes you smile and close your eyes to better feel and imagine the scent. I've tested this one in a niche shop and also Un bel amour d'été - Parfums d'empire and it's like heaven the two combined.

This is a lovely vanilla that opens with fresh ginger. This is what makes it reminiscent of Nishane's Ani. There is a sweetness here from the creamy vanilla which is immediately apparent upon spraying. I appreciate that this is not a cupcake vanilla. Rather, it is fresh, zingy, and creamy sweet. I like all of these things and I truly enjoy this fragrance.

I visited the merchant of Venice yesterday and this blew me away I loved the whole singular note line and this I wanted to spritz myself in head to toe the most beautiful, sticky vanilla note 😍 vanilla 28 from kayali in comparison to this is only good imo, this is incredible almost edible

Vanilla is definitely not the only note in this fragrance — even though the name makes you think it’ll be straight-up vanilla. Right from the start, you get this warm, spicy kick of ginger that keeps it from being too sweet or flat. The vanilla is there, but it’s layered with little twists that make it more interesting, definitely balsamic. It feels cozy and smooth, with just enough spice to give it a lift. If you’re someone who usually finds vanilla perfumes too sugary or predictable, this one might surprise you. On me, it leans more sophisticated than gourmand — like a grown-up vanilla that’s dressed up with spice. Overall, I like it a lot. It’s easy to wear, than Ani, warm, and just a touch different thanks to that ginger note. If you’re a vanilla lover, and you like Ani, this is one to sample.

When I first tried this one I was a bit surprised by a slight alcohol note in the opening, which I now attribute to something more akin to that smell when you first open the bottle of vanilla extract. This is a rich vanilla scent that I use often for layering. Unlike my other vanillas, among them the classics such as DA, LL, or AEA, this vanilla can happily share the stage with another perfume and create a harmonious blend. It's also fine on its own but its real power comes in its ability to partner well. With my woody perfumes in particular, Vanilla Madagascar adds a richness and depth.

I get Althaïr vibes from it, not Nishane Ani. It's a great vanilla. Not edible, just really interesting to my nose - the opposite of boring. I get a bit of wintergreen from it, could be another spice interacting with the vanilla. I don't get Vanilla Love by Jimmy Choo comparison at all and I love that one, too. Regardless, this is a gorgeous and underrated scent.

Much more pleasant than I thought from looking at the single note listed. The vanilla is nice and creamy, not so sweet, and not overpowering. There’s also a light smell of dried ginger which marries beautifully with the vanilla.

I've been on the search for a rich vanilla that is truly just vanilla. I'm sad to say, but this isn't it. This might not be the case for everyone, but on me the ginger never really settled enough to let the vanilla come through until way into the drydown when the whole fragrance had become but a skin scent. I had very high hopes based on the reviews and average score, but this ain't the one. I struggled to remember what it reminded me of...and it's Intuitive by Aristocrazy. The latter doesn't have any ginger, but it instead has cardamom that with the white flowers didn't act as I would have expected from cardamom. I won't say that either is not a rich fragrance, but what prompted me to recall this likeness in the first place was that, especially in the case of Vaniglia Madagascar, it lacks the warmth that I expected from something that is meant to be centered around natural vanilla. To me this is spicy, cool and perhaps floral. And because for me it doesn't behave at all as vanilla dominant, it's also not something I can just use for layering with whatever. Gave it a second chance before decluttering, but it didn't work out.

This definitely gives me Nishane Ani vibes. It’s not as spicey or complex as Ani though. It’s like Ani’s sister. Where ani is for nightime, vanille madagascar is the accompanying daytime scent. Sometimes the opening even gives me a Jimmy choo for women edp vibe. The vanilla in this is lovely, a little boozy. Sweet but not cloying, or gourmand. Rich, elegant and a little dark. It’s not the fluffy, light, sugary madagascar vanilla that I’m used too. Longevity is good. Projection is medium, so it’s great for those who don’t love a strong scent. Overall a successful blind buy, at a great price from jomashop. It was around $33 for 1oz. Would I pay full price? No. I would rather get the Ani dupe from Julianna’s perfume which is 1.7 oz instead of the full price of Vanille Madagascar.

This was a blindbuy. I did read the reviews, so I knew this had ginger, although it's not listed. But whoah! I wasn't prepared for THAT much ginger. A bit overwhelming, to be honest. It takes almost an hour for it to tone down a little bit. Then the ginger fades a little bit more to the background. It is a pleasant scent, but I think this has to grow on me a bit. It's strong, it has great projection and longevity. I like it, but I wish they eased it with the ginger. Still a little on the fence, but I think I just need a little time to get used to it. No regrets, but not love at first sight either.
