Zafferano Iran

Wow, for apparently being a 2 note composition, this is incredibly complex to my nose. It’s predominantly warm spicy, as the saffron is the dominant accord, but the labdanum simultaneously sweetens the scent and makes it more earthy. Smells rather middle eastern, and something in it hints at what I’ve noticed other manufacturers label as “oud” fragrances. Superbly balanced and blended, just a masterful composition, it’s so multi-faceted and is making me rethink saffron as a note in fragrances. Also, smells very very expensive and high-quality, it really pouches above its price-point in this regard.

FYI everyone, on the box it states that as Iranian saffron threads are "no longer available" the saffron note is an accord. This explains the nuance people detect, it's much more complex than a two note composition. Warm dry spicy, almost detecting cinnamon and rose? All in all very nice but as I was hoping for a more photo-realistic saffron scent I was surprised.

This is a radiant slightly medicinal saffron with vintage vibe. It’s also a bit soapy, but maybe it just reminds me of Turkish Hamam with all the spicy aromas in the air. It’s classy and radiant, but it doesn’t really something that I would personally wear. I see this fragrance on an older gentleman with beard :)

It reminds me of a saffron-forward fragrance my mom used to own, but I can’t quite put my finger on its name. This is actually a complex fragrance. The saffron isn’t overly leathery, and there’s definitely something reminiscent of amber in it. It’s actually absolutely gorgeous.

I expected a strong, balsamic, earthy, maybe a bit pungent fragrance, considering the notes it shows. Instead I get a lot of soapiness, people have mentioned rose note and I can see it, its a very clean and inoffensive fragrance, kind of hoped for a more unique scent.
