Homesick.

My sample arrived spilled in the box, lucky for me there was a couple drops to experience this exceptional frag (also they are sending me another sample gratis- no need since I plan on buying a full bottle ASAP). I scoffed at the initial article and reviews for this frag- eluding to emotional experiences... but here I am. This frag is gorgeous. it is salty sea cold atmospherics, pine and herbs. its concrete in the winter, but most of all: This frag is all my wonderful scent memories combined. It is home, not some gaudy cinnamon spice home candle you may find at bath and body works- no, the home and peace you feel on a hike in the woods. I once got super high on acid and starting crying to my partner- I said, "I feel homesick for a place that doesn't exist" This frag brings me to that place. truly a tear-jerking work of art. Can't rave enough. Truly unisex, moderate sillage and extreme longevity. Even office wearable. ETA: my full bottle arrived. it's very heavy and gorgeous, however a word of warning there is no sprayer. it's a hole that you basically dab on to yourself - this doesn't bother me too much since the frag is quite powerful.

I immediately felt that the name “Homesick” corresponded perfectly to the perfume’s scent – The notes I manage to discern give the impression of physical space, in the subtle distance existing between them, lending me a feeling of vertigo, of harmonious unbalance – I think of the notes waltzing together at the edge of a cliff – Indeed the actual green colour of the perfume urges my soul to climb higher, to imagine harder, and I can easily imagine a landscape matching the bitter and sour variations that this perfume evokes, even more so as new notes appear once the first ones evaporate – I “tried” Homesick again this morning, and I had anew the impression that it’s a journey, a novel, or a film, a sequence in scent ... The relationship between space and time here is very surprising to me, which is what touches me most as I’d only until now appreciated perfume for its smell, rather than what it can provoke in my body and soul. To conclude, I’m grateful for the journey, it’s quite the ride.

Truly singular and worth trying. To my nose all of the notes are detectable, but this is primarily an animalic marine with a creamy salty earthy undertone that leans towards peat and cocoa notes (I'm assuming it's the ambergris+tonka that are responsible). The pine and geranium also provide a photorealistic forest freshness that cocoons the marine core. Definitely not safe but could be a daily scent for summer (if you're adventurous) -- everyone around me found this utterly repulsive. I understand where they might be coming from, especially the uninitiated noses, but I find it ultimately very comforting and consistently surprising. Excited for more releases from this house!

Either this fragrance will go away quickly (I hope not) or will become cult (I hope). On the first try, I pushed it away. Then, it sucked me up. Let's be clear. It's more than a perfume. It is an experience whose strength is its openness, inviting many interpretations. The tube-shaped bottle and scent remind me of both a basic tool, a Heighliner space vessel and a kaleidoscope, an endlessly repeated and constantly evolving reflection. I bought my bottle months ago and I still find some beautiful and disturbing new things in it. Like deep sea exploration or nebula phenomena ending with a big new start: the Star Child and the drums of Thus Spoke Zarathustra...

What a sensuous perfume... beautifully bewitching and definitely fascinating! Foamy caresses that lap at my body. Fresh forest smells in symbiosis with my pulse. Lava waltzing with wailing winds. Bravo to Will Inrig for this enigmatic scent – almost ‘super’ natural – that gets under my skin and reminds me the Earth is both my home and a living spirit! If you ever decide to travel to Mars, this fragrance is very appropriate companion. It comes with a titanium bottle, and the scent evokes a deep longing for the planet Earth. I am not a time traveler, but we might expect here for sure if such a thing exists their first review. It's a beautiful creation. The whole experience is unique and artistic.

As previously said, can’t avoid to told everyone the feelings this fragrance gives me...What a good discovery... having grow up on the Mediterranean and since several years leaving far away the notes of Homesick. bring me back on those salty rocks of the beaches where I used to look to the see wondering of future faraway adventures...

This cologne made me cry the minute I opened it, which is a first but why, I can’t say. Maybe it’s the name, maybe the actual scent. Maybe it’s a sign of the times. It’s how I imagine swimming in the ocean while wearing Derby Guerlain. Bravo for this strange and yet somehow so familiar work of art that suggests the search for home.

My husband has worn Eau Sauvage almost exclusively for the past 30 years and although he has tried several other fragrances over the years, nothing else seemed quite right. Homesick.'s warm and spicy tones mellow nicely with time, making this his new favourite fragrance.

This fragrance is an art object, and the bottle is an ingredient ;o) it helps to smell metal in it, although titanium doesn't oxidize by the perfume. It is an earthy fresh marine foresty fougere, but first of all – very earthy. A strange one, a statement, but light and wearable.

Anyone who doubts the role of perfume as a vital art form need only read Will Inrig’s discussion of Homesick. in his interviews on Fragrantica to have these doubts comprehensively dispelled. This perfume interrogates some of our most deeply held concepts: home, gender, nature - and its enduring ambergris then offers space for reflection. The flask is deceptive, seemingly utilitarian, yet containing this potent ‘olfactory poem’. It offers a useful metaphor for home itself - a place where utility and emotional charge become inseparable. The shape of the flask, and the aeronautical heritage of the C2 Titanium, also evokes military hardware. I like this association because of perfume’s ability to act as unexploded ordnance from some forgotten engagement, unearthed by fresh excavations. Mr Inrig’s nod to his 90’s childhood, in the inclusion of Calone, is such a piece of unexploded ordnance. It is a vivid reminder to a child of the 90’s like me that our deepest notions of ‘home’ cannot stay buried, but travel with us, influencing our reactions to the world each day - a present tense prism, ‘through which all future plunges to the past’.

When I smell this perfume, I feel like being in a floating boat in the middle of the ocean. Natural pine breeze nicely embraces animalic ambergris note. Quel parfum original!

Since I discovered this perfume, I wear it every day! It is really a treat for me and became part of my daily look; definitely try it if you did not...

its smells as addled moss and cheap chinese plastic. disgusting
