Transcend

This is way better than I thought it would be, and I’m glad I gave it a try. For me, the pineapple leaf and the paleo santo are the stars of this, supported well by the saltiness. Transcend smelled pleasant but cold and not very complex on paper. On my skin, the opening smelled very crisp and clean green... almost succulent. A few minutes of development, and I could smell a fragrant, heady, and warm scent coming through the juicy green. Holy palo santo... the salty dew of the pineapple leaf dripping down inextinguishable incense. It stayed here for some time before I could smell something cool and sweet — sea water glistening in the warmth of a sunrise. Finally, it ended in golden, comfortable sunset with a sweet floral note — vanilla orchid — carried on the breeze. It became a lovely, creamy skin scent. It doesn’t last long enough, and I wish the green stayed longer, too. It was such an interesting note, playing well with the florals as it moved from the opening to the middle portion of this exquisite excursion: A nearly abandoned tropical beach, inhabited only by you and a welcoming, genderless figure beckoning the you to sit next to the fire at the edge of the water. Like any good day and dream, it had to end. I’d deduct some points for longevity, but I truly love this fragrance. I know it’s good for warm and hot and comfortable weather, but I cannot wait to try it in the cooler fall weather.

Although I love the concept of a genderfluid perfume line and think the shakable bottles are truly unique, I didn't have high hopes. Sephora was having a sale and the full bottle was $49 dollars around Thanksgiving, so I decided to give it a spin. When I first sprayed it, I got a hint of fruity water on my skin. My initial thought was "Welp, I guess this isn't much of a surprise." The projection next to nothing, however, it does sit on the skin for more than 2 hours. The scent is a bit more complex than it came off at first, too. I plant dragonfruits and love how watery, fresh, and sweet they are, and this perfume really encapsulates their aqueous nature. The sea salt and vanilla also come through and blend quite nicely with the dragonfruit (and I guess pineapple leaf). A lot of the Sephora reviews say that this scent leans feminine, but as it settles on my skin, it has a shampoo-esque, clean smell with a light saltiness to it. I can imagine anyone pulling off this scent, as it seems very 'your skin but better'. I would definitely give this perfume a second chance before dismissing it. It's a grower for sure– I wasn't smitten at first smell, but the notes are quite spot on and complement each other.

I have been looking for a summer fragrance that is not a "sunscreen scent" for around a year and this might be the one! This fragrance is gorgeous! The tropical fruity notes mix beautifully with the floral, vanilla, woody, and aquatic notes. The dragon fruit note in particular, is incredible! This fragrance gives me similar vibes to Burberry Her. The notes are very different but their basic fragrance profiles are similar, but where Her is a springtime scent, Transcend is very much a summer scent. These two fragrances are obviously very different, but I feel like if you like Burberry Her, might also enjoy this. The longevity is pretty average on me, and it began to fade after 2 hours and was gone within 5 hours. The sileage is also light to moderate, meaning that the fragrance is present without being headache inducing. The affordability of this fragrance is also a huge bonus for me! Overall, this is a wonderful fragrance for summertime! I am definitely going to invest in a full bottle!

Smells unisex, a soft slightly sweet vanilla scent. Not a sugary gourmand vanilla, a very fresh, beachy, little boozy, airy kind of vanilla. Longevity lasts maybe like 2-3 hours, sometimes I can smell a little of the dry down after I’ve put it on, but that’s about it. Sillage is very intimate as well. The whole concept is nice and all, unique, and I appreciate that the scent is light and refreshing, and never overwhelming, but it doesn’t project or last. I can see this on both a man, woman, gender fluid person...etc.

Sephora labels this scent as "fresh" but with my body chemistry it smells more sweet and airy. This scent lasts about 1 hour on me, it's very light and smells exactly like Urban Outfitter's "Sel Ocean" but a lil lighter
