Brown Sugar

I really love this, it's one of my favourites from the Saltworks discovery set. I find overly sweet fragrances can be a bit sickly usually, but this is just the right amount of sweet caramel with a freshness to it in the fruit. Interesting that others have got citrus from it, I love citrus scents and I don't get that at all. The fruitiness makes it work as a summer scent, but the caramel/sugar notes, in my opinion, would make it suitable for Autumn as well, as the weather gets slightly cooler. I feel like it would be perfect for a summer evening for a walk along the beach. It evokes a feeling reminiscent of sugared donuts on the sea front for me, but with a fresher kick that keeps it light. Longevity is OK but not great, and the sillage/projection on me is close to the skin, but it's a really pretty fragrance that is on my list for getting a full bottle.

Since I tend to dislike too sweet scents, I was skeptical about liking this one. Turns out, this perfume is one of my favorites from the discovery set. The moment I smelled it, it reminded me of something I used in the past. Which was Sakura from Rituals. Brown Sugar from Saltworks is a deeper, warmer version of Sakura. I would definitely combine Sakura body wash and Brown Sugar. It also layers surprisingly well with Tabak Soleil from the Saltworks C.

I like this one alot, it is sweet and comforting and lovely, but honestly I find it a little linear on its own. What I will give it a double thumbs up for though is layering - it is the most fantastic pairing for anything a little dry or dull or bitter. Definitely worth a travel bottle to try that out at least - I ended up going back for a full bottle because I use it so often to brighten other scents.

Way overpriced, very weak like a lot of their scents Ive tried from discovery kit. Better off buying one of the frags in the "reminds .me of" section, than this weak offering at £95!!!

This is v&r bonbon in an uglier bottle (sorry), except this costs £95 per 100ml which is crazy to me because I swear I've had bonbon for half that from discounters or in a sale. Dupe brands charging more than the designer they're duping is crazy. Also, fades into a skin scent in minutes while bonbon lasts and projects. As a lover of bonbon this isn't a bad perfume, just weak and overpriced (I know you're ment to find coupons etc with saltworks, but change £1 per ml in the first place is crazy.) Just get bonbon.

It smells like brown sugar, which I guess is to be expected. As the scent develops, a soft ambery undertone appears, but I don't get any cherry blossom. The peach note is slightly artificial and cheap smelling, so it almost ruins it. It's not a bad perfume, but longevity and sillage are both almost non-existent. Performance is more like a body spray! One hour in and I had to bury my nose in my arm to still smell this. For the price of a full bottle, it's not worth it!

It's alright. The peach is strong, it's a sticky sweet peach and to be honest the scent can be quite accurately described as 'girly,' it feels more like a £10 body spray. It's not a bad perfume, but I would never dream of getting a full size. I think it will be fun to wear if I'm also wearing sparkly lip gloss and planning on getting drunk on vodka red bulls but other than that specific experience it's a meh.

Immediately get the peach, it smells warm. I think the sillage and cloud created is nicer than directly smelling on my wrist. Not very long lasting and I'm not the biggest peach lover either. Disclaimer- I tried this full sample set to give a cheaper, UK based brand a chance, some were good, some were bad, most were meh but worth a try nonetheless.

On my skin this was a sharp citrus blast to start which warmed up into a slightly burnt sugar. It just didn't suit me at all. I didn't get any peach and not even a lot of sweetness. I will try again on a less cold day. It perhaps needs summer to bring out it's best.

Poor and not what I expected. I got a discovery set with a Black Friday discount and thanks god for that, what a waste of money. BROWN SUGAR: expectations: I thought it would be dense, strong, sweet and long lasting. BROWN SUGAR reality: it is sweet but more on a fresh and fruity (zesty) side, light, transparent, stays close to the skin and is gone within an hour from my skin. Nothing special. Worth £10 per 100ml. Not more.

Very citrusy upon opening. It unfortunately really reminds me of a Lynx spray. As it starts to dry down, the burnt sugar, peachy smell comes to the fore, and it's slightly less Lynx-y. I'm not sure why but I'm finding the combination to be faintly reminiscent of scented cleaning products. I can't really say i'm a fan but this seems to be a popular choice on the Saltworks site.

It smells like brown sugar and peach. It is not bad but way too sweet for me. If you like sweet scents, then this may be for you.

Smells like fried food and fake tan to me. Threw my sample in the bin.

So disappointing. The scent is beautiful, but sillage and longevity are non existent. I bought the travel spray when it was on offer for £10 off. I have Powder Ballad from the same brand, which is a beast so I had high expectations for this one too. My other gripe is that my review never made it to their website, which I found suspish. There is no point asking customers to review their purchases when the honest, less than glowing reviews don’t get published. Let buyers make up their own minds, based on genuine reviews.

Nice caramel and brown sugar smell upon spraying, very sweet, gourmand scent, definitely leans feminine. Heavy peach notes too, longevity is quite good, 7/10. A nice scent but feels a bit 'bodyspray' like, could be found in much cheaper brands, however as an example of a caramelised peach note.. It's spot on.
