Asphalt Noir(e)

Hehe, a thin strip of leather that fell into a bucket of ashes! Render a color by a smell... Spot on, at their place. It's black! But a luminous black, so elegant, a Soulages in short (all the perfumes of The Society of Scent remind me of paintings, obviously). Again, the balance of all the elements is borderline disconcerting. I have a very dry, and mostly astringent, definitely woody/charcoal bark leather (not sweet/vanilla for a minute, on my end). With the cypriol essential oil, I always get that sharp feeling of a sheet of paper/paper in a jar, pretty indescribable, a sort of vegetable razor blade. Here, it's clearly the note I wanted, the one I needed. Perfect expertise: nothing is missing, nothing is too much. And then the very light tonka aspect, as if it was rather a transposition of this dark and rough/ripened aspect to the touch, which comes as if to anchor, to attach to the ground (to a black earth, a peat substratum), an ethereal veil of narcissus in early spring... A soliflore (especially not a field), a narcissus alone but beautifully cut, six triangular petals of a bright creamy white, and a sun in the middle, alone in the center of a dark room, painted black, uncluttered, but so elegant... I can't say enough about their collection, but really, it's superb. Deeply touched by these compositions. Hats off to you.

It’s nice, but it reminds me of planting Home Depot potting mix in a west elm planter? Lol sorry — In the best possible way though.

Leather forward, Asphalt Noir(e) reminds me of MEMO PARIS creations. Beautifully blended, quality juice. It's a soft supple leather, smells expensive. I'd like this layered with lime. This is smooth. No sting, no sour, More tonka leather and cardamom spice.
