THE SPIRIT OF DUBAI Narjesi Second Generation Collection Unisex This is just something which I can’t describe in the way it deserves. This was launched already 2017 and I’m so happy that I was introduced to this in November 2022 at @profumeriacaleri1898 in Genova. I really didn’t know how much I can love Rose🌹 and this started my obsession for rose scents. The first inhale is breathtaking and mind blowing. It’s intoxicating. “What is this” - I was thinking. The scent is straight away everywhere, it’s really amazing, so beautiful divine mix of roses (plus mix of dozens of other notes)! It’s so mellow, rich, fresh, clean and natural in the same time, not sweet, nor “jammy”. I think it was unique as well when it was released but during the last years many perfumes with same kind of scent profile has been made. None of them beats this what comes to the quality though. Oud and Vanilla don’t pop out, neither Patchouli, which I love here, this is all about a majestic rose with smooth, complex, sophisticated base. I can imagine to wear this after the bath wearing a bathrobe or I see myself wearing the most luxurious evening dress and this magical fairytale like scent hugs me inside the huge bubble. This is very versatile yet potent. I love it oversprayed. And if I’m thinking some handsome man in the suit wearing this, just wow! There are so many notes in Narjesi (even animalic) so don’t get confused, this is a kitchen sink but a beautiful one. Roses play a main role and Narjesi is distilled from Rose Bulgarian, Pure Taif Rose, Rose de Mai and Turkish Rose, along with oriental notes. The bottle and the whole package with the travel case is luxurious even if more simple would be more classy imo. The scent itself is really sumptuous. The rose to rule them all In search of the ultimate oriental rose I courted Narjesi for almost 3 months during the Summer of last year and undertook 4 5hr roundtrips to a boutique in order to smell it again and again. Narjesi made me smile (and it still does) from the first inhale and would last and linger in its powerful, fresh and sensual softness; cool-dewy, candied, tart, sweet and noble it presents itself with all roses present around the queen Taef. There is additional citrus brightness nestled in a bed of green mosses, delicate spices ranging from ginger to coffee, warming woods including aoud wood in both top and base notes and this gentle, most wonderful and almost gourmandy trail consisting of honeyed vanilla and sweet amber, fine frankincense and royal resins, animalic elements and supple leather. I expect from a masterpiece the best ingredients as well as either stunning simplicity and clarity making a few ingredients sound like an orchestra (see the house of Henry Jacques for example); or, like here, an almost overwhelmingly complex and deep scent of nearly 36 hours duration (on 2 sprays) that is appropriately tamed in both structure and purpose as well as being sublimely blended so as to not descend into olfactory noisy nonsense and chaos. The presentation of Narjesi is simply mind blowing with the bottle featuring a real crystallised black rose sprinkled with the dust of with very finely crushed precious stones, and comes in an ultra heavy packaging for appealing display and housing . A luxurious travel pouch is available for reassuring protection during transit and I am grateful for that because it'd be a sin to decant Narjesi into an atomiser. The price, predictably, is upper luxe niche segment but I feel the perfume is unique and thus constitutes a worthy investment. In my mind it is completely in a league all of its own certainly when it comes to oriental roses. I simply haven't smelled any better.

Narjesi is such an incredible fragrance. It's a very rich, sweet, soft, deep, calming, and alluring rose fragrance that simply captivates the senses. The first 20-30 minutes are absolutely to die for, with a magnificent blend of roses that is second to none. I always wish that the opening could linger for a good five hours before transitioning to the delightful honey-apricot like tea, taif rose, vanilla, sandalwood, and benzoin with a touch of animalic facet.😭😭 This fragrance truly is the Rolls Royce of all roses for me. It exudes an air of royalty, which is precisely why I don't wear it often. It's a scent to be savoured and cherished, perfect for those special moments when you want to feel like royalty yourself. 💫🤴 👑 ❤️❤️❤️ 🌹 🌹 🌹 🥀 🌹 💐

This is amazing. Nothing more to add as the reviews below cover everything. So many notes in the background to support the majestic rose. It moves quickly to the Taif rose flanked by other roses. Rose is like the singer on the stage and all other notes play the orchestra. This certainly is Taif centric rose done so well. This is as we all know very expensive or priceless but how can you put a price on the creativity thats seen here ? Or how can you put a price on your thin lipped confident smile when you attend a party knowing that you are the best smelling man and people are swooning as you leave a fabulous scent trail behind..

The most photo realistic rose you will ever smell. I’m sorry, but the below comparison to Montale is a joke. This is rose, rose and more rose . Rose of the highest quality I’ve personally ever smelled. Not rose-Oud, just real rose for the Connoisseur who loves a rose powerhouse. Don’t get me wrong there are other notes that balance each variation of rose but the rose is front and center and it’s absolutely stunning.

Man! This is Rolls Royce of all Roses period.... But the sad part is the opening blast which is heavenly disappeared too quick 😩 how I wish the opening stays for like 5hrs before transitioning to honey tea kind 😭

Beautiful rose bomb. Almost craftwork. The first 45 +/- minutes are to die for. When I spray Narjesi on my wrist, I get a dry blend of roses, bitter and semi-sweet, mixed with oud, fruit and pepper. Narjesi is an artisanal rose blend that would be perfect if it were more effervescent. I want fresh, wet roses to rise off my skin. I need more freshness with this particular scent profile. As a rose lover, I thought this was going to be my holy grail of roses. But it opens with an animalic civet/castoreum furry musk, with a dusty Ta’if rose, on a dry, woody base. On the skin, the rose takes a back-seat and the animatic musk with dry woods prevail, becoming a skin-scent which gets lost with your own pheromones and body chemistry. At least I saved myself over £1000 worth of fragrance. I prefer Baz.

I didn't like it at all, has a screechy sour rose smell, lasted very long on me but didn't impressed me with smell when it cost you arms and legs

This perfume was launched in 2017. Narjesi's fragrance is a floriental with a rich blend of the finest distilled roses formed mainly by Pure Taif Rose, Bulgarian Rose and Turkish Rose, complemented with luxurious oriental notes. An ode to the delicacy and incomparable beauty of the iconic 'Desert Flower' of the city of Taif in Saudi Arabia. The most perfect interpretation of an amber smoky dark rose you'll find! With a fresh and aromatic floral opening, revealing a dazzling bouquet of the most precious and expensive roses in the world, with emphasis on the opulent Rose Of Taif, the focus of this olfactory construction with its traditional fresh profile sharp citrus, which blending with bergamot and orange and also with vibrant organic green foliage as if they were the stems of these wonderful roses ... All this right at the start brings a fresh and already dark look at the same time. A subtle gourmand accord is reminiscent of arabian hospitality when a delicious Qahwa wa Håll (Cardamom & Coffee) with dates is served. That initial freshness is further tempered by a subtly spicy, sweet saffron heat. The superior quality of the natural ingredients used is evident! Arriving at the center of the composition as Narjesi evolves on the skin, the heart notes begin to reveal their complexity and depth. With this Rose Of Taif and its characteristic freshness, closely escorted by other celebrated roses with sweet, fruity, soft, dewy facets... which intertwine with ginger's warm embrace and an aldehydic glow. Vetiver, patchouli and sandalwood add a woody, rather earthy texture to make the fragrance even more organic and blackish, while a sweet incensed accord of benzoin, vanilla, and honey soften the fragrance with a delicious ambery sweetness. The ever-striking cipriol provides a mysterious, herbaceous, smoky note that adds an intriguing touch to the mix. Towards the base the fragrance rests on an incensed and slightly animalic amber base, but without dirt here; neither animalistic to the extreme of the civet and castoreum nor fecal of 'oud; This resinous 'oud steaming with the incense only reinforces the smoky character of the perfume that like a veil of a dark and dense incense mist, resting, enveloping and smoking all those voluptuous fleshy roses that again provide a lasting sensual warmth. Narjesi is a multifaceted floriental: luxurious, an exquisite blend of dark organic amber roses in its various varieties, which also welcome with their intoxicating, almost palatable sweetness anchored above all in a smoky earthy mossy base. Wonderful perfume for rose lovers.

Update Dec 2021: For one reason or another SoD has lowered their prices and this beauty now retails at £1k, still a hefty price tag, but... after a year of longing for the bottle I took the plunge and gifted it to myself. It’s still mostly rose, several roses in fact and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s such a happy, bright, radiant scent. I find it utterly feminine and endlessly enchanting. This scent also marks ten years of me venturing into the world of niche perfumes, and what an amazing decade it’s been. I have to agree with the previous reviewer - it's mostly rose. And a very lovely rose, in fact, it's like quintessential of all roses. Then behind the rose, there is this smooth, luxurious, sophisticated background, quite difficult, In my opinion, to nail down. But it's obvious it serves only one purpose: to give a stage to the rose. I love this fragrance, it's very classy and delicate and I almost wish, with all its beauty it was somehow... deeper. Now, if it was £500-600, I would buy a full bottle, but with the price tag of £1295 for 90ml, I'll continue to cherish my sample (5ml, can be ordered online), which is a real miniature treasure that comes in a lovely box.

For the second time now I've been to the shop to spray it on my skin. The opening is extremely rosy, which I love. But it's also very oudy. As someone who doesn't like oud, it really put me off at first. HOWEVER! The oud dies down after about 30-45mn and what remains is absolutely gorgeous, and none of the offending oud remains. It's just so beautiful for many many hours afterwards. So , yes I do enjoy this tremendously for most of its lifetime on my skin. But unfortunately there's those first 45 minutes, and I don't know if I'd spend that much on a fragrance I don't love 100%. Edit: I have gone back and tried it again. It keeps growing on me. One of these days I just might throw financial caution to the wind and get a bottle.

It is said that somewhere in the world, on the shore of a river, black roses grow, with petals covered in diamond powder, and that they represent rare and eternal love. Narjesi celebrates the exclusivity and rarity of this legendary flower with a highly textured fragrance that, I am sure, turns out completely different from skin to skin. On me, the predominant notes are those of a fresh, sometimes citric rose, accompanied by notes of Oud and slightly animalic. Warm, opulent, perhaps too much for my style, but certainly of great impact. In short, it succeeds in perfectly translating olfactively the luxury it wants to transmit to us. Unisex and with great persistence.

Opens with a bomb of rose. You can smell the quality A few minutes into the wear I start to detect the apricot, aldehydes, chamomile, sandalwood, saffron, pepper, patchouli, and animalic notes Overall perhaps the best rose fragrance from spirit of dubai. This doesn't have synthetic fruitiness or sweetness like the brands other fragrances

Maybe it's because I'm on a sample, but all I get is rose! I was looking for a rose oud combo, that was above all the rest, but sadly it's just rose. Not bad, but not masculine enough for my taste. Leans feminine for sure. If your a girl, and love rose, this is amazing. If your a guy, and don't like floral forward scents, I'd stay away.

If you want to experience this fragrance, then buy Ruh Gulab attar it smells exactly like it, and there is a reason why this perfume is expensive, but its basically Ruh gulab made into a beautiful perfume. People from Kannauj in India make attar, even though its expensive and I think its about $600 - $700 USD for 1 tola.

All perfumes in this line is sickeningly sweet. Especially narjesi. Almost equivalent to that of bdk’s tabac rose. Diwan isnt that sweet so i can stand it but dk if its worth the price. Just going to keep narjesi for presentation wise.

To call this a stunning and majestic rose is an understatement. Yes, the price is out of this world, but so is the scent. No clue how they mashed all the notes together to come up with this but it’s simply superb.
