Opens with a blast of fresh pear that is so ripe it comes off almost honeyed It is accompanied with spices like clove, ginger, cardamom And as its drying there is a cacao hint in the base of vanilla Think a pear that is cooked in some wine with lots of spices and then served as a dessert on a christmas dinner When it dries down it smells almost like bee pollen + the pear I am obsessed with this one and i usually dont like gourmand fragrances

in my opnion i get really alot of Absolute Aphrodisiac in this fragrance

An amber-spice fragrance, heavier on the spicy side. There is a strong presence of ginger but the vanilla and other spices mask it a little bit. Great longevity and sillage. A natural smelling niche perfume. Because of the presence of labdanum and vanilla, it will smell somewhat similar to many other amber perfumes but the beauty is in the details. Perfect for winter nights.

Very nice spicy vanilla blend.Vanilla is star of the show along with other spices.Anise,Ginger and cloves comes upfront.It will definitely remind someone the holiday season.Good longevity and I do enjoy wearing it.

If you came here looking for a tawny fragrance smoother than Godiva chocolate, then look elsewhere. With that being said, this is the most wearable fragrance from the Ante-Medicinae line. Looking at the note listing you would think Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory but this is barely a kit kat...that's until you reach the 30min mark. My ink pen was in hand and I was ready to write this off as a director's cut version of Cacao Porcelana but this has developed into its own special thing. There's this dusty, grainy, almost dirt-like element that tatters the structure like a game worn jersey. The chocolate is almost bitter and kinda dark... correction..ITS REAL BITTER! The cardamom is in full swing and the ginger will catch you off guard like a naked grandma. The anise here is a real scene stealer and gives off an aroma similar to black licorice aged in oak barrels. This fragrance has (dare I say) three separate bases. The other base consist of straight cloves and then it goes to another floor which consist of a thinly veiled strain of labdanum with a smokey hue. If I'm keeping score then i would say this fragrance morphed into 3 totally different aromas within a 4hr period. Now this is the kind of thaumaturgy we signed up for!

As the grandchild of bookbinders, I’ve been looking for a book frag my entire life. I’ve tried all the usual and obvious suggestions I’ve received over the years but THIS unexpectedly is the closest I’ve gotten! For that alone it’s an amazing frag. It’s more than the sum of its, seemingly simple, parts. I’ve tried 2 offerings from this house and they’ve shared a kind of earthy, wildness in their signature, I suspect it’s a similar base heavy on nutmeg and cistus that I’m picking up and which I find to be quite bewitching. This house is definitely closer to indie than classic french perfumery and I can’t resist those bottles, they are right up my alley!
