Tubereuse Organique

Surreal Tuberoses/Gardenias The perfumers aim to create a phantastic tuberose. And here we have it. I sense a gestalt of tuberose - some gardenia creaminess, indolic jasmine floralness, green leaves, and some powdery dirt from the woody branch. (I understand tuberose grows on a stalk instead of a branch, so this dirts and woody feelings pull the image a little more toward gardenia.) Very well-blended. If checking the notes provided, I can also find some tequila, some aromatic, and probably many more. But I personally will not bother breaking it down further, cuz that could disenchant the magic presented. Pragmatically speaking, Tubereuse Organique has great projection and longevity. The woody vibes also make it very wearable for men. As others have mentioned, Tubereuse Organique is a beauty on its own, sharing no resemblance with former tuberose creations. On the official pages, Christophe Laudamiel wrote about how the works are designed and how they add some twists to the creations. As for this one, Christophe explains that there is no tuberose absolute added, since that could 'ruin the delicacy and natural element of' tuberose. Scent TUBEREUSE ORGANIQUE recreates just that. It is not old, it is not tuberosy, it does not smell artificial. You can feel the organic and fresh character of the blossom on its majestic stem. Your nose caresses the softness and greenness of the petals, in HawaiI, in India or at the flower market at 6am in Sydney. How did we get so vegetal and organic? With Lavandin Organic-certified LMR and a dash of real Organic-certified Tequila. The tubereuse plant is of the same family as the agave plant, and those quenching tequila notes fit perfectly for a je-ne-sais-quoi so shiny and exhilarating. Of course we had to taste a few Tequilas for that. This one is from 123 Organic Tequila producer Mr. David Ravandi Twist This fragrance evokes the reality of being in a tubereuse field, yet is itself a tubereuse fantasy since it does not contain any natural tubereuse extract. Add tubereuse absolute to a true-to-life fresh tubereuse accord, and you ruin the delicacy and natural element of it. Tubereuse absolute is too dark, earthy, stuffy for that. I'm very happy to own the very first and signed bottle of Tubéreuse Organique that came out of their lab. It’s exactly like their description. This is a fresh dewy tuberose. It doesn’t smell of Fracas, it doesn’t have that carnal fleshiness of tuberose absolute because it doesn’t contain any. By a magical sleight of hand these different non-tuberose materials (many of them certified organic) combine to smell wonderfully of both the blooming petals and the green stems and leaves. There's also a dusty mentholated aspect that is slightly reminiscent of Tauer's Sotto la Luna Tuberose. In the drydown a green sap smell somewhat reminds me of a certain aspect of their Fig My Love (itself an amazing realistic full package of fig leaves, stems and fruit). One spritz on the blotter is enough to make my whole room smell like a tuberose farm. Wearing it on myself I am a walking field in full bloom.

The diva-like, carnivorous flower called tuberose this time not 'carnal' or bubblegum-sweet, but dewy & and so to speak 'vegan'. A tuberose that is not a tuberose at all, rather an agave on a chalky, creamy ambrette base. Wonderful!

So a few folks had remarked about the miraculousness of this tuberose centric fragrance oh into the fact it contains no tuberose natural material (I think I read that somewhere?) and knowing Christophe's tongue in cheek trickery the name sort of alludes to this too. Anyway I think it's difficult (and also conversely quite easy) to judge, because having smelled different tuberose materials of natural origin and bases and recreations and stuff like that, I have to say, tuberose is pretty changeable stuff. I thought I knew what it was, but I don't really. That being said this perfume captures some of the raw elements, it's salty and waxy and strange, mildly sweet but this isn't a fun, exotic tuberose, a pink hued, bubblegum kitsch thing, nor is it particularly green and crunchy or indolic. It's a peculiarly sterile, antiseptic, floral and to borrow from a pal 'smells like the halls of a junior school' and I get all that weirdness. So it shares tuberose's complex nature and I enjoy it as a perfume spectacle but I don't like it or want to wear it... Until the drydown. After hours and hours IT SMELLS GLORIOUS!!! The base materials the floral parts go all powdery and musky but not at all sweet, it's divine!!! but can I wait that long through all that rubbery, waxy strangeness....maybe??? the jury is still out.

Haha! Not what I was expecting. A brutalist tuberose opening, raw and chemical, as though whatever was used for extraction is lingering. It's quite coniferous — though no conifers are listed — it's the marigold giving that dry, bitter, woody effect. And it's cold again, like others in the Zoo line. I'm getting the idea that Christophe Laudamiel hates warmth of any kind. I can just imagine the greyscale filters on his Instagram. There's something static about this perfume. It just is, it doesn't move. There's no real tuberose in here, which is remarkable, though if you're familiar with Hermès Cedre Sambac you'll recognise the accord which is enjoyably pungent and indolic as well as dry, shorn of any citrus-like top notes or greenery or nectar. More woody-cedary, though again no cedar is listed. Perhaps the woodiness comes from the same dry vetiver reduction that appears in other perfumes from this house. It's not bad at all. I like it more and more as it dries and becomes woodier, earthier from the moss and muskier from the ambrette. And the dry, bookish vetiver really does come through in the dry down which on my skin comes on in 3 hours.

If you like tuberose, you will be served. The pyramid of notes displayed seems to me a little bit convoluted: for my part, I really have this pure flower aspect, nectar, fat-white, milky, solar, most addictive when you start to dip your nose. Coupled with a very light background of jasmine (+), lavender (-) and syrupy/aqueous like agave. But on the other hand, it is beautiful. Totally photo-realistic. Short of always having a gorgeous bouquet of flowers sitting on the dining room table, I'd wear this all day. PS: the staying power of all these fragrances seems really, really good to me so far (all day in hair/on skin, several days on fabrics).

It's less tubereuse intense that I thought it would be. I mostly greenish white florals, some green musky tropical lush, like waxy tropical leaves. It's pleasant and last for a couple of hours on my skin. The dry down is actually quite similar to Elephant by Zoologist. I almost get some incense in there even if it's not in the notes. I prefer Elephant though but Tubereuse Organique is much more discrete and wearable in all occasions.

It's nice, but I'm not really getting tuberose, in either its natural state or the synthetic stuff companies like to cheap out with. At times, this feels almost more like a musky oriental than a floral. It's not scratching my current itch for white florals, but it's not a bad smell at all, I could see it growing on me in the future.

Olala ! job well done! A huge invisible bouquet of everlasting tuberose follow you everywhere , you have even the sticky sap of the stem, the dew on the petals...no need to try to analyse the composition, it's the air of the florist fridge when the shop is full of these decadent flowers.

33rd At opening, the fruity, flowery, sweet, tart, tuberose portion is just fine and I would give this a higher score if it was not for the bad smelling portion of this scent. But in mid and base, there is a dusty, rooty-like note which diminishes the composition for me. I imagine this note is trying to replicate the stem, but it comes off chemical smelling, just off and weird. Many others have done a better tuberose stem (and some bad ones too-Annick Goutal's Gardenia Passion-celery seed). I just had tuberoses this week and managed to smell them in all their glory and decay, including stems. The real thing is so much smoother and gentler than most of the tuberose perfumes I've tested, with exception of AG Gardenia Passion(I smell a tuberose), which without that terrible celery seed note would be a very close approximation to the real tuberose flower in its sultry tropical phase(in warm and humid surroundings). Maybe it's the moss, vetiver, patchouli, and angelica that are causing that overwhelming, unpleasant, stem odor. Also, not a big fan of the musk which is most prominent at the base. 4/10

For those unaware, this is made using a tuberose accord, and not actual tuberose. I think even someone who doesn't like tuberose could like this as it's not really the same feeling, but it's nice in it's own right!

Bought a sample of this in a floral tester box from bond and bare. Its a beautiful, light airy floral. Lasted a good 4 hours so far on 2-3 sprays, id definitely buy a full size bottle of this

Another perfume from the Olfactif box that makes me feel physically ill. I hate this. If you love the smell of raw earth and white flowers, this is all you. Very green and very interesting.
