Caramel Oud

This one opens with a warm, inviting caramel that very quickly introduces oud. Granted, the oud is initially a little over loud (pretty par for the course, there), but there IS a difference - it is surprisingly.. and rather delightfully.. well-balanced! As opposed to your bog-standard 'a bit cold, harsh and medicinal', this particular oud is rounded and softened by the caramel sweetness, morphing into a deeply satisfying, almost dark toffee-like effect. It is really extremely good, particularly in the dry down, which is genuinely stand-out! If this review appeals to you, then I wholeheartedly recommend a sample - this was a comple dark horse winner for me!

Caramel wrapped in leather with oud embracing it throughout. Starts off on the feminine side to be honest so I was a little concerned that this wouldn't be for me, but the dry down is really where it's at. After about 15 minutes the leather toffe and oud r blend even better together and makes an amazing sweet, soothing seductive scent that's very pleasant! Last about 9 plus hours on my skin as well. This is a good gem of a scent that people aren't talking about!

Caramel Oud by Theodoros Kalotinis – 10/10 My favorite perfume from this house, which I only discovered recently and I’m impressed. It’s exactly what the name promises: a smooth blend of caramel and oud, but without being overly sweet or heavy. It strikes a perfect balance between richness and wearability. For around 50 bucks, it’s honestly a steal. Totally worth it.

I received this as a birthday gift and i must say that it really hits the spot for me. For the untrained nose it smells like whiskey and liquor toffees in the opening, leading to a chill caramel dry-down. I love this scent as it really fits my general profile but i wouldn't say that it is a safe blind-buy.

I love this! The caramel is very realistic .I didn’t know what to expect from the oud combo. People are saying there is leather. I think this is the saffron with small hints of oud giving it the leathery effect. I have nothing like this in my collection so it was a win for me!

at first it was more oud and metallic but once dry down definitely started hitting that warm melted caramel, saffron, sweet notes. it’s gorgeous and a great start for niche perfume wearers (like myself). price point is good as well and under $80.

This smells like smooth suede with hot butter and brown sugar. I love it. This is super buttery and creamy. I get the essence of a smooth suede coat or pair of shoes. This smells comforting.

Richly delicious and mature. The caramel and oud blend like gold and silk. It’s warm, spicy, and indulgent without being heavy. It’s dessert for grown folks, and I love every bit of it.

Wow. This is amazing. The agarwood adds a very slight smokiness. The rest is stunningly sweet caramel. Truly beautiful. Gotta like oud. Gotta like caramel. Full bottle worthy.

its a very bice perfume : oud + caramel that blends into a sort of creamy cinnamony toned down mix of ambar and oud.. I highly recommend

I enjoyed this perfume though it wasn't quite what I was expecting. From the start, I picked up on the caramel, saffron and oud. It had a sweet and resinous smell, but not as sweet as I expected from the caramel. Definitely not cloying (to me) though, especially with the oud helping to balance it. There was also a slightly cold, metallic scent that I would attribute to the saffron. What I really wasn't expecting was the lactonic quality this perfume had, smelling strikingly similar to Milk (expressive) by Commodity to me. I'm not exactly sure where this came from but, if I had to guess, it would be from the sweetness and creaminess of the caramel and the coldness of the saffron. It remained this way for the entirety of the wear, overall being relatively linear. After about six or seven hours, the oud and creaminess began to fade, leaving the scent to be predominantly sweet. I didn't pick up on any of the toffee or macaron notes, but that's fine by me. This lasted for about nine hours on me. Overall, this is another good gourmand from Theodoros. Not necessarily my favorite from them but definitely an interesting experience.

Sampling Theodoros Kalotinis Caramel Oud, a 2023 release that’s quite a bit headier than I expect, with a lot of sharpness and sweetness—essentially, quite a bit more caramel than oud, though the full note listing consists of caramel, toffee macaron, oud, and saffron. I like its sweetness but would prefer something a bit deeper, spicier, or provocative based on the name, but still, the fragrance is pleasant, an easygoing-enough gourmand that is not prohibitively heavy or overwrought in any particular way. Caramel Oud is EDP concentration and is extremely reasonably priced in the current market, $55 for 50ml, and now Luckyscent carries pretty much the entire line, as best I can tell. It performs decently well, also, but is just not nearly as striking or interesting as some other gourmands of the house—namely, Coffee Addict. 7 out of 10

I love it. I think the so-called metal smell is suppose to add greeness to the body as it dry down. Someone wrote caramel shaving cream. I like that! Babershopy here? The spikes of zing effect or aldehyde effect round out to real tree smell and mix with caramel give off sweet tree sap as dry. The funk flowing from oud is brighten by that zing effect into tree with damp wood, very woody, algae, moss on tree. This is saffron bomb! The zing to green effect and soapiness come from saffron? I gotta study saffron. I smell little leather. Saffron version of leather smell fresh earthy. Saffron is doing more than leather here. This is sweet buttery at times caramel dust and prominent green healthy tree bleeding tree sap in dry down. Caramel with bitter green fougere and woody?

Strong, sweet and rich caramel plus medicinal oud. Not my favourite type of oud, but nothing scary, I guess it does compliment the whole composition and adds to performance. I totally imagine it as very rich gold-brown clear liquid, like melted caramelized sugar. The caramel in here reminds me of Amore Café by Montale, quite a bit actually! Only difference is than one is more about pure desert /bakery and this comes with oud.. It is beautiful, strong and very sweet scent with amazing performance and medicinal oud :) I did like it, but not enough to keep in my collection.

Smells a bit synthetic, however the syntheticness of the oud helps with the gourmand aspect toward the caramel. Makes it smell salty i get a good 5 hours out of this. Quite perfect in most aspects. Pefectly unisex. No negatives, its not a 5 star since its not that complex Edit: Nvm bro I sprayed it yesterday and i can still smell it. 5 fucking stars now huh Edit Number 2: After 2 hours it smells like Sadonaso. I love you!

je me suis précipité pour le commander mais déception car odeur de brulée et oud, puis après 1h heure le caramel est plus perceptible, assez bonne tenue. je lui trouve des notes de rhum, ce qui est pas mal et du coup peut convenir à un homme.me fait même penser à angels' share de kilian. si vous aimez les parfums de caractère achetez le, mais à essayer avant d'acheter, convient pour temps froids

it has a synthetic twist wich i love! people are saying leather and then it hit me! its like caramel melted inside your leather bag.. very refreshing! not overly sweet, very discreet. i dont know if it was intentional as leather is not mentioned and it might put a lot of people off of they are expecting a rich overly sweet caramel, but i find it very modern and unique

Caramel Oud is a pleasant, rich smell. Thick fudgy caramel blended with oud. I do like it, but I can understand why some may not. I would only wear this during autumn and winter months. More than the oud note I get a thick, sweet, caramel fudge. Overall for me this is a blind buy win.

Caramel is not too long lasting, very prominent in the opening, on the skin the scent transforms into a lovely suede, it must be the oud, but all I can smell is very mild soft suede. It reminds me of Silky Woods Goldfield & Banks.

A masculine-leaning caramel, which is so interesting to me. Sugary caramel with oud. Smells a bit strange right out of the bottle, but develops into a warm and rich scent.

The fragrance opens with a sharp, leathery note mixed with saffron and bitter almond, coming across as an incredibly masculine gourmand and slightly medicinal in a way (how italica from casamorati can be medicinal) but as it dries down you start to get more of that nice and sweet caramel - toffee macaron smell coming through. The oud is very light I would say and is there throughout the wear, again it’s a nice fragrance but as much as I love theodoros kalotinis and their other fragrances, I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this and I don’t think it is a fragrance I’ll pick up to wear often enough for a FB.

I don’t think emphasizing the caramel aspect of this is the most accurate representation of how it smells. This is a masculine leaning saffron/oud combo slightly sweetened up by a caramel note. It’s a bit screechy. I disagree strongly with previous reviews that describe this as fudgy, sticky, buttery, thick or creamy. Don’t go in believing that this is an edible, caramel dessert because you will be misled and subsequently disappointed. This is a no from me. If you’re looking for beautifully executed, decadent caramels, try Penhaligon’s Changing Constance or Kerosene’s Sweetly Known.

A perfume is what notes make it! A rich toffee scent accompanied by a touch of oud and saffron (more prominent at the beginning). A true gourmand. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to enjoy this kind of scent for quite some time, but for those who find such a composition intriguing, I’d say it’s bold and fun. The oud is present just enough to add depth not in an animalic or barnyardy way, but as it should be in a gourmand composition: subtly earthy and intensely woody. But as I said, overall, this is a toffee scent. Buy it with that in mind.

I was so disappointed when I didn't like this fragrance :( I'm not sure if its the saffron or the oud that's putting me off. It's a well blended fragrance that I'm sure would be amazing for those that are into these notes. Just not for me unfortunately. However, I did like it much more in the dry down than I did in the initial spray, it gets softer and sweeter.

The oud in here is a grown oud, opens up very potent & with the saffron, it starts very medicinal and very spicy but few minutes later it calms down and you start to get the other notes. The caramel is NOT the star in here, it is almost muted. Do not blind buy and this is for my oud & spice lovers only.

This is a slightly more caramel leaning version of Babycat by YSL to my nose. Like Babycat, I find this too sweet and cloying, it makes me feel a bit sick. I can see myself appreciating it more in colder weather, and might be better suited to men as it leans more masculine to me.

Way too cloying for me. I love deep heavy scents and I love my sweet gourmands but this doesn’t do it for me. I feel nauseated every time I wear it.

This so strongly reminds me of Rexona body spray I can't smell anything else, I'm so disappointed as I was so excited to try this!

All day sweet synthetic oud experience, hard pass.

Man as much as i like the other gourme smells of Theodoris, man, i hate this one! I tried it three times to give it a chance. Got a headache everytime. It's eternal, smells like almond liquorice for me. After 6 hours it gets softer, it's eternal, which is amazing if you like the smell :)

This has let me down! It’s incredibly masculine and there’s no oud but leather and lots of bitterness to it. Selling my bottle asap.

Caramel Oud is a perfume that starts with a lot of caramel, very evident and realistic, but with a touch of depth from an oud that is, to my nose, pleasant and delicate. Soon the aroma surprises us and also begins to move towards a quite perceptible but unlisted almond note that completes the composition. It is, for me, a delicious, evolutionary, warm, sweet, unisex and powerful fragrance that lovers of gourmand perfumes and, especially, the caramel note, will like. The notes accompanying the caramel add interest to a perfume that, otherwise, I think would focus too much on this note. It has a noticeable to moderate sillage and lasts 7-8 hours on my skin. I don't know many of the perfumes it is compared to but, to my nose at least, it has no resemblance to Rosendo Mateu 5 at all. It's going straight to my wishlist to maybe get it next winter. I literally just received this one, I will be using it more for the next days for a better detailed review but... So far I'm a bit let down. To me it kinda smells leathery. I can smell the caramel but that "leathery" note is overpowering and I don't get that Caramel macaroni deliciousness at all. let's see how it goes.. It's not bad! Just not what I expected. However i did receive two samples with my order, and the velvet chocolate one is delicious! Maybe I should have got that one or lemon tart instead 😅

I was very excited for this, only to be disappointed. I didn't pick up any oud, and almost no caramel. To my nose, this was a very childishly sweet toffee with a whisper of saffron. Then, when I hugged my wife, she told me I smelled like Play-Doh. I was aghast, but I gave my wrists another sniff and... Yup. Now all I smell too is Play-Doh. So be warned. Play-Doh, bruh.

I hated this when I first tried it and dismissed it As being too masculine for me. Now I have revisited it and oMG holy rich decadent caramel and leather. This is definitely not for warm temps tho it’s way too rich. This would be amazingly sexy on a man in winter. It does have a masculine touch but I can wear it now as it’s sat a while. Cold weather star!

This pulled too much of the sticky sweet, overwhelming in its cloyingness. Unlike some of the other scents that have a similar quality in this line, nothing is helping to temper that quality enough, not even the bit of smokiness. This might work for some, but it is too much for me. I prefer the Lemon Tart, which is more balanced on my skin.

I think this is okay—one of the few oud scents I like. Oud usually turns into a leathery note on my skin, but here it’s more of a sweet leather, which I appreciate. The caramel does come off a bit artificial to my nose, but overall it’s a well-done fragrance. Still, not something I’d personally reach for.

The oud in this is pleasant and wearable. Caramel seems to take a back seat and I don't get any toffee. There's quite the leathery accord in this which I think is my nose getting confused by the saffron/oud combination. A bit masculine for me but I could see this being quite sexy on a man.

Deep brown caramel and borderline damp Oud. Not for everyone and thats why I like it. It unexpectedly is my favorite so far from the brand. This is as good as synthetic can get, it smells more expensive that what it costs. It’s like a dark gourmand for the misunderstood.

This is the first TK I haven’t enjoyed. To me this is too masculine and reminds me of Axe body spray going in a semi gourmand direction. The oud comes across very synthetic the caramel is very subtle. The promotional images made it look so amazing. Sadly this is a pass.

I would love to get my hands on this one! I currently have Velvet Chocolate, Coffee Addict and Lemon tart already and I really love all of them! Really affordable niche frags with pretty good longevity (at least on me) that smell delicious. =)

I love this one. Realistic caramel swirl. It has some saltines to it mixed with the sweet aroma of oud and spice. A loud fragrance that I love. Layer this with a linear vanilla scent and everyone will compliment how you smell.
